• Te facilities were nice, the shower was to die for and the view and staff were great.
• I got 2 full size beds instead of 1 king. My husband and I had to sleep separately and I never told that a larger single bed was available.

“The Holiday Inn at Torrance, CA was nice, in a safe location, in a good location with food and shops around. It isn't too far from Manhattan and Redondo Beach. The staff was friendly. The food and room service is excellent. The pool looked wonderful although we were too busy to use it.”

• Comfortable room, and friendly staff.
• High charge to use computer in business center.

“I have stayed here on several occasions. The area is in a quiet industrial area. The rooms are decent size and maintained in cleanliness and functions. Only problem was a slow draining sink. Only thing I did not like was a $5.95 charge for 15 minutes of internet on the computer in the business center.”

• The room was very nicely set up and was very comfortable.
• The Jacuzzi did not have any pressure bubbles.

• Convenient to where I needed to go on business.
• Room had a musty smell.

“This hotel continues to deteriorate in both appearance and quality. Light shades fell off, two lamps did not work, TV had poor picture quality, the room had a musty smell, and the shower head needed repair. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating.”

• Location to 405 freeway, excellent food in Cafe - wide screen TV's and attractive lobby with KOI Pond.
• No negatives from this guest.

• The bed and linens were very soft and comfortable.
• The decor was okay not that pleasing to the eye.

• The front desk clerk was very rude. Would only answer questions with a single word and was unhelpful.

• Pool was out of order. Not good. Wife was very unhappy.

“Seemed like a one or two star hotel. The first room stank of smoke, opted for new one. The second room smelled of Chinese food, but stayed. Room was quite stuffy. The pool being out of order was a big disappointment for my wife. If we would have known we would have cancelled and gone somewhere else.”

• The bathroom seemed "half-done". The shower fixtures needed work and the toilet had problems.

• Very accommodating. We didn't check in until late and had the type of beds we asked.
• Location was kind of off the beaten path.

“Nice rooms. The pool area was closed for renovation. The front desk lady sent us to a really great place for breakfast when I asked for a recommendation. We loved Rex's Cafe in San Pedro!”

• The sheets were clean. That's about the only thing good.
• I hated the hotel period.

“This hotel did not live up to my expectations to especially being a Holiday Inn. The presentation was awful, the facility wasn't clean and the room needed repairs. The tiling was actually falling off the ceiling where there was water damage. The furniture had stains and was old, dirty and chipped. And the guest towels were not clean not to mention a rattling air conditioning system that kept waking me up all night. It was really a terrible stay!”

• My room was next door to the gym, with treadmills running all night! Hard to sleep!

“The hotel was clean however; the location was not great for families. Not something you want a minor to witness. My 3 year old had fun in the pool but the pavement outside was a hazard very broken up and easy to trip over.”

• Would not provide a non smoking room and had to beg for 2 beds.

“We are disappointed that this hotel (with over 300 rooms) could not provide us with a non-smoking room. We are non smokers, with two of us allergic to smoke. It was extremely unpleasant to have to breathe in other's smoke. This should be illegal, that non smokers have to put up with smoke.”

• The restaurant, the swimming pool & hot tub, the on-demand movies.
• The elliptical machines in the workout room are extremely outdated.

“This is a nice hotel with everything you need all in one place. It is centrally located between the 405 and 110 and is very easy to find (without directions). I enjoyed my stay and the hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. The workout room was small, but was fine for my short stay. However, the elliptical machines (my favorite) were very outdated and not worth using.”

• The bathroom smelled like mold & mildew.

“It was a nice place to stay. Only down side was in my room. The bathroom smelled strongly of mold and mildew. I couldn't see it but I could smell it. If affected my allergies to a point I needed to take medication. Not good.”

• Electricity went out and they had no emergency back up lights in the stairs or hallways.

“The hotel was great for the money, and overall good, except for the fact that while we were still there, the electricity went out, and I was with three young children, trying to navigate down the hallways and emergency stairs and there was no emergency lights, and we had to use only the light from my cell phone to get down the three level of stairs. If any of us had fallen this hotel would have had some serious issues to deal with.”
