“Very nice, would easily stay again.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Debbie from Berkeley, CA
“I would expect a more updated, upscale room and surroundings at a Courtyard, however, I would stay there again due to value and location.” May 11, 2008 by
Katherine from Riverdale, GA
“We enjoyed the hotel. It was newly renovated, interior decor was beautiful, exterior landscape was beautiful, in walking distance to shopping and eateries. Was a little farther away from the freeway than we wanted. Though the hotel did not offer a continental breakfast, they did have a hot buffet breakfast which was very good but cost $12.00. They also had cookies, coffee and apples free in the lobby. I loved the fireplace area and did eat my breakfast there also my husband did his ministry study there. There were families there with their children which was also nice.” Jan 8, 2008 by
Rose from Columbus, OH
“The evening crew were much friendlier than the day crew. Both, however, were polite and professional. They ran out of coffee packets (regular) for the rooms, but I was able to travel to the front desk area whenever I wanted a cup. There was an episode with an overheated elevator prompting the fire alarms sounding off at night, and the fire dept responding. No fire was detected, thankfully. Everything was clean with exception to the glasses and coffee cups in the room. The grounds were clean and nicely landscaped. My bathroom light burned out and the cover popped off. I called the first night I was there but no one ever showed up to fix it.” Oct 19, 2007 by
Jeanette from San Jose, CA
“We would be excited to bid for a hotel and were able to stay there again.” Jul 14, 2007 by
Diane from Leavenworth, KS
“The lobby area was very warm and inviting with a separate fireplace area to visit with others in your party or just relax and read. The only problem was with the TV internet not responding well and the need to wait for those using the only available terminal in the lobby. Otherwise, our stay was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful.” Jul 11, 2007 by
Bette from San Diego, CA
“Very nice. Excellent value.” Jul 10, 2007 by
Susan from Chandler, AZ
“The room was poorly tended to. Most other rooms have water bottles set in the room this one did not for 3 days. The bed came unraveling after my kid lay down on it, the sheet and under sheet too curled up and bunched up in the middle. This happened twice, The first and the third night. The second night must have bin a trained person on duty. The coffee sweetener packet was not replaced. I asked if they would cash my out of town check as an ATM swallowed my card, they would not let me or offered any useable help. The night clerk mixed up room keys and numbers so we had to go back and forth late at night.” Jul 9, 2007 by
Sally from Harbor City, CA
“Nice hotel, family friendly and good coffee.” Jul 8, 2007 by
Dawnn from Turlock, CA
“It was a joy to be there. Every aspect was clean, spacious, quiet and delightful. Check-in at the front desk was quick and friendly. The small food store next to the front desk had a wonderful variety of tempting late-night snacks. The lobby area was very inviting, with the fireplace, the big screen TV, the ultra-comfy lounging chairs, and the soothing music. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the servers were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean, roomy, excellent blackout curtains, and even the pullout sofa was comfortable (amazing!) all-in-all it was one of the nicest hotels of this level we have ever stayed in, and at the end of each long hot day of tournament baseball, we couldn't wait to come "home" to the courtyard. we even passed up a team dinner at a fancy restaurant, so we could just go back to the hotel and enjoy our room and watch TV on the super-comfy beds. At the end of our stay, there was a small discrepancy with a bottled water charge, and the desk clerk removed the $2.50 charge immediately with no hassle. Those are the small things that keep you coming back. we were not familiar with courtyard before this trip, but are now staunch fans, and will definitely use them again in the future!” Jul 4, 2007 by
Ethel A. from Chula Vista, CA
“I had a corner room right near the stairs and was unable to sleep comfortably with the stair door opening and shutting closed every few minutes till about 2am. I was itchy through the night and found many bug bites all over my legs. (I hope they were just bug bites). I was not satisfied with my stay.” Jun 27, 2007 by
Laura M. from Ssf, CA
“This was a very good experience other than it was very difficult to locate this property.” Jun 16, 2007 by
Bill from Pitman, NJ
“Love the location. The staff was very professional. The breakfast is great, as always. I will be back next trip.” Jun 12, 2007 by
Sharon from Hesperia, CA
“The front desk told me he could not give me two beds.” Jun 10, 2007 by
Angela from Lancaster, CA
“Good location, easy to find and very nice entry. Staff was friendly and helpful. I requested a wake up call and they called at the time specified (you wouldn't believe from different experiences at other hotels how important that is) Definitely would recommend! But, watch out for the hidden fees. If I hadn't looked at the sleeve that my keys came in I would have been charged for a newspaper I didn't want and I have a $20 charge that I am looking into now that I am unsure what is for because I didn't use anything extra in the room. Overall good experience.” Jun 5, 2007 by
Sandeep from Royal Oak, MI
“Most business travelers have more than one laptop with them. It would be helpful if there is a good wireless network available in the hotel.” May 16, 2007 by
Susan from Chandler, AZ
“It appears that you are in the country, trees and green pastures, while you are very close to the freeway. Close to airport yet not right at the airport. It is not fancy but it has all the basics, and stores if needed just a short drive away. It has computer access and they have a business center as well.” Apr 18, 2007 by
Chris from La Jolla, CA
“Overall, my experience there was top-notch. I would gladly stay there again. I would (and will) rave about everything except the continental breakfast, which when I asked the front desk person if there was one, he answered "No, we offer a full breakfast buffet" inferring, at least in my mind, that it was an upgraded amenity of a more upscale hotel. When I arrived in the morning, this was in fact, true, but there was no sign stating there would be a charge for the meal. I do not mind paying for that type of meal, but I want to be assured before hand that I will, in fact, be charged. Had I known the meal would cost me more than $10, I would have looked the buffet and passed because the cooked food had either been ill-prepared or had been out too long (The food had all been set out before 7:00 a.m., but it was 8:30 a.m. by the time I'd arrived to eat.) For free, I'd endure the sub-par food, but for $14.00 I would have passed. It may seem a minor complaint, and it is, but it did serve to taint my experience. What made matters worse, is that the wait staff was overly 'in my face' with conversation. I just wanted to read the paper, wake up at my leisure, and eat in peace, but she kept coming up and complaining about how much she disliked America and yearned to go back to Africa. Other than that, the whole experience exceeded my expectations.” Apr 3, 2007 by
Jose from Lamont, CA
“I would recommend this place. Close to my business activities. And close to the beach. Very clean, great parking (free). Good area of Torrance.” Jan 24, 2007 by
Scott from Las Vegas, NV
“They gave me a king when I really needed two queens. He put me on hold and then told me that it was up to the hotel to change to two queens. So I walked up to the front desk with matt still on my cell phone and had him talk to the hotel staff, since their stories were conflicting. After all that, matt said that he told the hotel they could switch us beds if they wanted to, but that they didn't have to. Of course the hotel staff chose not to. Matt ended the conversation saying that there was nothing he could have ever done to change the bed situation, despite the fact that he told us he would change it earlier in the conversation.” Aug 9, 2006 by
Fritz from Chico, CA

“Very nice, good location for the South Bay of L.A. Friendly staff truly makes for a pleasant stay.” Jun 29, 2006 by
Mike from San Francisco, CA
“The room's TV was faulty. Half the channels were frozen. Front desk staff was dismissive and not helpful.” Apr 27, 2006 by
Anna from Carson, CA
“Good stay but could be more romantic like Courtyard Garden.” Feb 23, 2006 by
Ofelia from Torrance, CA
“Bright clean and convenient. Close to restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and beaches. Cozy lobby or lounge. Comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Efficient staff. Enjoyed exercise room and convenience and availability of a laundry room.” Feb 23, 2006 by
Adrian from Los Angeles, CA
“It's clean, but not quiet. Noise seaps through the walls. The staff is not helpful and they are abrupt. ” Feb 22, 2006 by
Caitlin from Torrance, CA
“My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay for one night while some work was done on the house. We did not need the nice desk or the phone jack for a laptop, but they were present in the room. We might have used the hot tub, but we did not find the time. All in all, very clean and rather elegant.” Feb 13, 2006 by
Ralph from Ventura, CA
“Great place to stay, when you are out of town for work and a nice place to relax with family and friends.” Dec 24, 2005 by
Dustin from Queen Creek, AZ
“The hotel was quiet, clean and well kept. We enjoyed our stay. The only improvement I would recommend is to make sure the additional cost of the continental breakfast is noted.” Nov 3, 2005 by
Jessica from Oxnard, CA
“Very nice hotel with big rooms and very comfortable beds. They advertised a patio with each room, but our sliding glass door opened up into bushes and mud with no way to really walk outside.” Sep 19, 2005 by
Tammy from Los Angeles, CA
“I hope to stay again. It was perfect. ” Jul 20, 2005 by
Xiaohui from San Diego, CA
“The room is full of smoke smell and the front desk told me that no other room to change. I saw several black people sitting in a car near the entrance, I don't feel quite safe, because they didn't stop the engine and 2 men sitting in the front and another 2 girls sitting in the rear. And another girl was sitting on the ground of the entrance to make a phone call. Everything is weird. I will never try this hotel again.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Jun 24, 2005 by

“Very good value, helpful staff, clean and nicely furnished rooms, quick check-in and check-out.” Jun 21, 2005 by
Jenny from Spokane, WA
“For the money was very reasonable. Staff was friendly. Room was roomy, decorated well, clean. Location was great, not too noisy but close to restaurants and shopping. We left for the Queen Mary/Carnival cruise terminal the next morning was only 15ish minutes and way cheaper then staying in Long Beach. AWESOME experience with this hotel.” Jun 16, 2005 by
Dean from Honolulu, HI
“This is a relatively new, clean facility. The staff is enthusiastic and helpful. The rooms were well maintained. When there were some problems with check in, the staff tried to be accommodating, and even when they were not able to check me in when I wanted to, they were apologetic and made me feel as if they had sincerely tried to help me.” Apr 27, 2005 by
Sarah from Fresno, CA
“The Courtyard by Mariott was easy to find, clean, the staff was friendly and courteous. Checkout was easy, and could be done over the room phone. We were offered a poolside room with a beautiful view. The shower includes a showerhead with adjustable spray patters. The friendly staff made us feel like valued repeat guests on our first visit. A 3+ Star hotel. ” Feb 23, 2005 by
Cliff from Corona, CA
