• Close to stores.
• Dirty, smelly, hard bed, old, waste of money.

“This was the worse hotel I've ever stayed in. The first time we realized we made a mistake was when we went to the elevator. Not only was there only 1 that worked, but it was filthy and smelled of smoke. On their site it says the rooms/hotel has been newly renovated but it does not look like any part of the hotel has been changed. The hallways smell, the carpet is filthy and the lighting is terrible (probably so you can't tell how bad it looks). There's an uncomfortable bed, thin covers and comforter, dirty carpet, dirty windows, small room/bathroom bad AC. We were supposed to stay for 2 nights but left early because it was so terrible. Personally, I would not spend another night at this hotel if it was free. The only good thing about this hotel is it's location. It is located near a lot of stores and not far from the freeway. But that is not enough reason to stay here. I would recommend staying somewhere else.”

• There was only one bed, the bed was very hard and I woke up with a backache, it was very small and there was no pool.

“It was a horrible experience. My kids were bored. There was a tiny TV, no pool. It was a very small room. The bed was extremely hard which me and my husband both woke up with intense back aches. The lady that worked the front was not attentive. We would ask for directions and she was not helping. It overall was horrible.”

“For price, perhaps this was good hotel. Hotel front desk provided king size bedroom on request. Convenient for travelers who would be outside most of the day & need decent sleep in place. Hotel is close to Universal Studio/attractions & has good food options within walking distance.”

• Close to a shopping center and restaurants.
• Dirty. Hotel staff unhelpful, furniture was broke, mattress was very cheap and worn-out.

“We asked for 1 pillow since we had 3 people and only 2 pillows and was told they did not have any! They did give us 1 small blanket. Would not provide 1 extra towel. Room reeked of smoke. Chair in room was broke. TV was very small and speakers did not work well. We paid too much to stay there.”

“I was satisfied with pretty much everything except, this hotel does not offer wake up calls but at least they provide an alarm clock. Also there is no radio available in case a guest wants to listen to music.”

“Generally speaking, it's a good place for the price. I typically work 14-16 hour days at the studios, so I'd just sleep and shower there. Not a bad location for the Valley Studios (WB, Disney, etc.) and would definitely stay there again for the price!”

• Good economy/homey.
• This hotel has bed bugs in my room/bed. I had to call the health dept. Other visitors complained of roaches. Pluming needs work.

“It appears as though the workers/front desk (although they acted surprised) is aware of the bed bugs infestation in some rooms and roaches in some rooms. The pluming was poor in 4 rooms (we had to move four times due to toilet did not work). It is a major inconvenience to move 4 times (there 2 week total). It is a cheap hotel and so you get unkempt rooms. Also there is no repair person for weekends. The manager did not answer his page/call for the entire weekend he was on call. For the money it was great if you can live with pests and a manager you can not get a hold of! As I say, the hotel is great at moving you to another room when you complain. But I felt that they did not resolve the challenges for future travelers. I wonder who had to sleep with the bugs next. The workers claimed they called pest control only they forgot to call him to my room!”

• It was too far outside of the area that I needed to be in which was close to the Los Angeles Airport.

“Don't go into your hotel room at night after leaving the room dark. If you do that, you will find the room full of German cockroaches. Heaven! The staff seemed to have doing you a favor letting you pass to another room which is in the same condition.”

• The view, the cleanliness, nice and roomy! Perfect for my husband and I with our 3 month old baby!!
• The bed was not very comfortable.

• Bed was uncomfortable.

“Even for an extended-stay hotel, this one was pretty bare-bones. There were no common areas, restaurant, business area, or room service, and the front desk kept limited hours. The room included a small kitchen, but was otherwise unremarkable, and didn't have a proper closet. The hotel is located in a shopping center near the airport, which was a little odd, but convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful.”

• I liked the fact that it had a full kitchen and refrigerator.
• We asked for more blankets and pillows and the staff never brought it up.

“In short, this was an excellent hotel plus the location was excellent! I was close to the freeway, my family was may be 15 minutes away and the theme parks weren't far either. The room was nice and big which made my stay that much better!”

• Extremely comfortable room close to wonderful shopping/dining areas and close to downtown la for sightseeing.
• There was no dish soap to wash the dishes (which were provided) in the room.

“A marvelous place to stay with many comforts of home provided. I highly recommend this hotel for any future travelers, and am very likely to use them again myself for future business trips.”

“The hotel is totally sufficient for the price. However, not one extended stay, and bathroom has been in good condition. This time the tub had a slow drain and without daily maid service the tub was discussing.”

• The bedding is very cheap (I bring my own) and the shower had extremely low water pressure.

• The hotel with a kitchen was very good.
• It smelled like smoke in the hallways and there were dogs in the hall.

“Very cheap and since it is newer, the facilities are in good shape. It is clear that they will be going downhill fast because staff is nearly non-existent and things such as leaky plumbing fixtures, damaged chairs and inoperable remote controls are becoming more obvious. Also it has no pool or workout facilities which, when combined with the industrial area, make this an undesirable hotel for me.”

• Everything was nice.

“Everything was extremely basic, from the entrance of the hotel to the room. Nothing was fancy like the Hilton or holiday inn, but that was not needed. A small stove and microwave where provided, everything was clean. The room did not have any noticeable odor to it. Great place to stay if you are just using the room to sleep/rest in. The room was great for a couple who was on the go for the whole day and just needed a nice place to sleep. The room had a smell when you 1st walked in, and it was very stuffy. It was the older type of motel with the exterior walkways to the rooms. ”

• No daily maid service. Room and kitchen were dirty. Bed was worn out and hard.

“I am not normally a complainer. I just wanted a clean room (nothing fancy) for my daughter and I to land in during a very busy week in the Burbank area. I requested a non-smoking room, but was given a smoking room. There were wads of chewing gum stuck to the furniture in several places, and stickers from the previous tenant's shopping spree stuck to the walls. The dishes were grimy. The bed was worn out and hard as a rock. The next day I requested that we be given another room. We were promised a change of rooms that never materialized, "Sorry, none available today. Maybe tomorrow". I didn't have the time in my schedule to keep nagging about the room, so I wound up buying my own pillows and pillowcases, and disinfecting wipes! No maid service without making special arrangements, apparently. I was not happy with this experience.”

• Bathrooms were very Nasty with stool under toilet. Poor service in the early morning.

“I was unset that the hotel had a smell. The rooms that are smoking are filled with that scent. I didn't have an option since the room I was given was Nasty. I was moved around to a different room because my room wasn't clean. The different smells were not good for someone coming into town and wanting to sleep.”

• Since they were not full, they gave us an additional room at no additional charge so my friend and I could each have our own bed.
• Each room only had 1 bed except for the smoking rooms.

“More suited for a casual business or family traveler. Each room had a kitchen with equipment (i.e. dishes, pots, microwave, sink, etc).”

“The room we got had no TV. I called the desk and was told to call the front desk in the morning. When I complained that we were only there for the night, and what good would that do, we were finally given a different room. The carpet in both rooms was dirty and badly stained.”

• Large elevators and free, accessible luggage carts.
• Ant infested, especially in the bathroom; the bed was really old and uncomfortable; the mattress literally creaked when you moved.

“I think I would have been a little more comfortable at a Super 8. For the price, I should have paid $30.00 more per night to have peace of mind from the bad bed and ants.”

• The hotel was close to the airport.
• It was next to a train track with horns blowing at 12:23 am as well as 6:13 am. beds were very hard and uncomfortable. minimum standards in every way.

“The location was to close to the train tracks to ever have been built. When I asked for two doubles rather than one queen size bed they doubled my over night charge. When I stay at the Marriott there is no additional charges for two doubles rather than one king. I had a man next door that had a dog with him in the room that barked occasionally and the walls are paper thin. I had to hear about his problems of owing his drug dealer money and begging his families to help him out from 3:30am-9:00am. I have stayed in these hotels twice and had well below stays at both places. if there was a way to back out of the deal after I was given the option of this hotel I would . ”
