• Location.
• Old, outdated, ugly furnishings, windows don't open, thin walls - too loud.

“This is not a 4 star hotel. Despite being recently built, the furnishings were old, ugly, and outdated. The walls are paper thin and you can hear people in the rooms next to you, even when they're talking softly. The windows don't open and it's stuffy. I would not recommend this hotel.”

“We were no more than 5 feet from the Elevator. The hotel website claims they have flat-screen TV's. Not in the room we received. The hotel staff was friendly upon our arrival.”

“Our stay at the hotel was one of the places I ever stayed. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our check out time was at 11:30 am and they kept our luggage for us while we waited for our shuttle to come get us at 9 pm.”

“This hotel is ideally situated for Hollywood Blvd. and many of the main Hollywood sites. It is a very contemporary hotel which makes it seem very light and airy. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel expect for the cleanliness of the rooms which let it down badly. In my room the trash can still had rubbish from the previous occupant and when I went to use the coffee maker it still contained the coffee and filter from the last person as well, gross! After this I started to question everything including whether the bed had actually been changed.”

• The Valet Stole my iPod from my car.

“I left my car in the Valet of the hotel, and did not pick it up till the next morning. When I picked up the car my iPod was missing from the center console. The staff was not helpful, and did not seem to care. It has been 5 days now and I am still waiting for a call from the manager. Would stay in the hotel again just not valet my car!”

“As close to luxury as you can get and look down on Hollywood. The staff is friendly. Only the guests have that "LA-Skinny Uppity" attitudes. I'd stay here a hundred times over rather than pay more for a Beverly Hills "nostrils in the air" art-deco place to the west. Nice rooms, albeit small. Nice view. And ask for the $40 upgrade. It gets you a decent room with a nice bed cover and breakfast and snacks in the evening on the 19th floor. A Hop, Skip and a Jump to the famous walk of stars and the Chinese Theater.”

• Location, location great spot for a Hollywood hotel.
• Traffic around the area could be deadly at times.

“I would stay at this hotel again if I were to come to the Beverly hills/ Hollywood area again. The hotel is well kept, clean. Convenient shopping, food is attached to the property. Lots of sights to be seen within walking distance. A few minutes drive from Universal studios as well.”

“The location of the hotel was excellent but the rooms were not as clean as they should have been for a 4 star hotel. The room service was horrible and incredibly over priced. It cost close to a hundred dollars for a breakfast you could get elsewhere for around $10.”

• The room was comfortable.
• The pool was dirty, the spa was broken, they ran out of food at breakfast.

“I would not go back to this hotel. It was too far out of town, the pool was dirty, and the spa was broken. The breakfast was good, but they ran out of food while I was there. We were very disappointed.”

“The hotel/staff was wonderful. My 13 year old daughter was impressed; when you can impress a teenager, you know you are doing something right. Our server during breakfast on 8/24 was great-very helpful/friendly. Should the need to stay in Hollywood arise once again, I will certainly be a return patron.”

• Pool was under construction which I was not told about.

“Room was modern and clean. Construction was going on beside the pool (on a Saturday!) could not sleep, could not go to the pool. Room had card that advertised Happy Hour. Ordered a drink at the bar, charged full price. Told bartender it was Happy Hour, he said not for the drink I chose. I showed him it was on the list, he said not half price. Had to point out the print at the bottom of the card again. Finally credited me for the half price, but charged me tax this time, not the first time.”

• Within walking distance to Hollywood Bowl. Twist restaurant was excellent!
• The first hotel room we were given smelled strongly of smoke.

“Very modern and contemporary hotel. The staff was responsive to our needs and the response was timely. The first room smelled like smoke and when I called to complain, they immediately offered to switch rooms and a bell person brought the new keys up. Room service was good and fast (30-40 minutes). The bed was comfortable and bedding was nice.”

“I can't say much about this place, as all I did was sleep there (didn't use any of the other facilities). The room was ok, but not as nice as most 4-stars that I stay in. Linens needed upgrading, bathroom was anything but posh, and the carpeting needed to be replaced. I would call this place a 3.5 star, not 4.”

• Perfect location, beautiful views of Hollywood sign and downtown, comfortable beds, and nice staff!
• Ridiculously expensive valet parking, room, and bathroom could have been decorated nicer and cleaner for a 4 star hotel.

“The Hotel and staff was really nice. Great Views and comfortable beds in an absolutely perfect location. Rooms/bathrooms could have been a little nicer and cleaner for a 4 star of that price. Overall, loved our stay. Would stay there again.”

• The hallways were full of old room service that was never picked up in 2 days. We reported this to 5 different hotel staff.

“This hotel is in a great location for seeing typical Hollywood sites. However, the furnishings are not what you would expect for this type of hotel. There were old trays of room service left in the halls during our entire stay. I'm talking the same trays. It was a smelly mess. We reported it to 5 different staff and it was never picked up.”

“The hotel was nice, but overpriced for the quality. I felt like they were charging four seasons prices for quality. However, the restaurant and the location were both good, although I only had the breakfast buffet at the restaurant, so I can't say how the dinner is. The hotel bar was not a comfortable place to sit, although the service was good. The rooms were nice but not great, and the bathrooms were small. I would stay again for the location only.”

“I had to change rooms because my next door neighbor was screaming for hours. they could not find my reservation on my arrival. parking was a nightmare and much too overpriced. You are charged every time you left the structure. this was not a four star hotel and I paid way too much money for a mediocre room.”

• Location is perfect and convenient to all Hollywood Locations.
• Parking fee is quite high.

“This hotel sits right in the middle of it all. There is a mall for shopping, Theaters for moviegoers and the Hollywood walk of fame all accessible from the hotel. Request a view of Lee Hill and if you are lucky you will see the world-famous HOLLYWOOD sign from your room.”

“The hotel is in a great location and the staff is very friendly. However, we had major issues. On arrival our room was only partially made-up. The down comforter was not in the duvet cover and pillows were on the floor. We called housekeeping and they were quick t bring the duvet cover, but expected us to make the bed. Only after I asked did they make the bed. The valet lost our car. After waiting 30 minutes for our car we were called to the valet desk and were told that we had already checked out. We had only arrived 1 hour prior. While they looked for our keys in a big pile of keys on the floor, our car finally pulled up in front of the hotel. We still don't know where it had been. Finally, the last straw was the following morning. Our 1 year old was playing on the floor and brought something over to show me. He was playing with a condom wrapper. He found it on the floor and had out it in his mouth. I am unbelievably disgusted that something like that was left on the floor. Obviously, housekeeping services are seriously lacking. I can't risk staying at this hotel again. Admittedly, the hotel staff was equally appalled by my son's discovery .”

“Great location in the heart of Hollywood, clean rooms and nice staff. Both places in the hotel to get food were sub par and reminded me of cafeteria food that was made to look like upscale food. However there were plenty of other restaurants within walking distance to choose from.”
