“More like a homeless shelter than a hotel. Mildew stench in room. Mold in bathroom. Broken security latch that never got fixed. Very old. Highway sounds unbearable at night. This place is ancient and never updated.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Rosa from Las Vegas, NV
“The parking was too small and dangerous. The hotel was next to a nearby railroad.” Apr 24, 2008 by
Renee from Strawberry, AZ
“Close to Convention Center, however, located in industrial area with no restaurant within walking distance.” Apr 21, 2008 by
Roberto from Fairfield, CA
“Like I said nothing was done when my son was injured.” Jan 5, 2008 by
Liz
“Easy to access, close to Burbank Airport, stayed here while attending the Rose Bowl and found it very easy to get around. Shuttle driver was excellent, recommended restaurants in downtown Burbank, bars, etc. Very friendly and helpful.” Jul 27, 2007 by
Michael from Fremont, CA
“First hotel in many years, rooms were poorly maintained, minimally cleaned. Staff was distant at check in. Parking was a nightmare. Location was not convenient to anything unless you were prepared to get back on the freeway. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.” Jul 2, 2007 by
Penny from Mesa, AZ
“This hotel, while clean with helpful staff is very noisy. You can hear every noise from the freeway. The wallpaper was patched and peeling, the door to the bathroom was coming apart. The room was next to the elevator and every time someone used it the headboards vibrated quite loudly. The windows are single pane and you can hear every conversation as people pass by. Toilet was stopped up when we got there, the staff did fix it quite quickly. The parking lot is very small and it is difficult to park and to leave the lot, even with a small car. The room was clean and the staff helpful.” May 11, 2007 by
Angelique from Studio City, CA
“My room was closed to the housekeeping office; the ladies started at 7.30 am and awake me every morning by shouting and laughing.” Mar 31, 2007 by
Melissa from Kokomo, IN
“OK.” Mar 3, 2007 by
Angela from California City, CA
“Overall okay for a 2 star. Not as bad as expected from other reviews. Parking was awful!” Feb 25, 2007 by
Flo from Gilbert, AZ
“It's a functional hotel good for budget travelers. Got called in the middle of the night by prank callers. Free internet was very useful.” Feb 17, 2007 by
Bill from Carson City, NV
“This Ramada is ok for a 2*, but is very close (actually next to) to i-5. The grounds and pool area were nice.” Feb 16, 2007 by
Eileen from Renton, WA
“Very convenient location. Friendly staff. Good basic clean rooms. ” Feb 3, 2007 by
Larry from Columbia, CA
“I would most likely not choose again due to my experience with the poor quality of this hotel. It appeared that part of the facility had been updated, however the portion that we were placed in was very dirty, and worn out.” Dec 4, 2006 by
John from Orange, CA
“We had to change rooms 4 times because of noise and moldy smell, and the staff treated us like it was our fault. We settled for a room with a running toilet and couldn't wait till morning to get out. All in all the worst experience we have ever had.” Dec 3, 2006 by
Charles M. from Petaluma, CA
“The restaurant hostess was unresponsive to our requests. We had to move to another room due to a broken TV set. In the room we moved to the plaster was loose on the bathroom ceiling. The toilet in the 2nd room was leaking at the flapper and so I had to keep bathroom door closed. The location was great, but the facility and staff were below the standard. It was more of a motel than hotel. Would not recommend.” Nov 12, 2006 by
Brian from Calgary, AB CA
“I don't think I would stay there again, I would opt for something closer to "downtown Burbank" with more of a hotel atmosphere as opposed to motel. It just seemed to be too far away from everything, if I hadn't rented a car, it would have been quite costly to cab it everywhere we went.” Nov 2, 2006 by
Tom from Fawnskin, CA
“This hotel does not meet its potential. The exterior has character but the room is rundown and uncomfortable.” Sep 1, 2006 by
Michael from Lees Summit, MO
“Just nasty dirty. Ants were all over my room. I wouldn't ever stay here again if I had a choice. ” Aug 27, 2006 by
Mike from Eagle River, WI
“Overall, I was NOT impressed. I don't like hotels with outdoor access to rooms. And this one the door bolt did not work and there was a gap all around the door that you could see through. There was also a gap around the door to the adjoining room. The workout room is basically a regular room with some home quality equipment thrown into it - some of which is broken or doesn't work. Our hotel room wasn't the cleanest - cobwebs in the corners and a stain on the sheets, and there were not enough towels or pillows when we got there. The staff was quick to respond to the towels/pillows issue - but took a day or two to get the lights to work (bulbs were all burned out). The restaurant is very nice - good food, reasonable prices and good service. Parking lot is really tight and dead ends, so you have to work hard to get turned around at night.” Aug 23, 2006 by
Scott from Fresno, CA
“Generally speaking the price probably matches the quality. However, I feel as though I get a much better value when I book with Hampton (Hilton) Inns or Marriott Courtyard for about he same cost. The value proposition just isn't there.” Jul 6, 2006 by
Sally from Westborough, MA
“They need a business center, air conditioning/heat in the room. a clean appearance would make a huge difference. trays were all over the floor outside the rooms when I went to bed and still there in the morning! disgusting.” Jul 5, 2006 by
Melanie from Tigard, OR
“The hotel was convenient. However, it was in very bad condition and in great need of renovation.” Jun 26, 2006 by
Phil from Santa Clara, CA
“Located next to busy train tracks and at the end of the Burbank runway, this property is 20 years past it's prime. The rooms are worn and in need of refurbishment The staff is indifferent and English limited. Requests for non smoking rooms are ignored and simple questions often receive a wrong answer if acknowledged at all.” Jun 22, 2006 by
Heather from Boise, ID
“The Ramada Inn Burbank was filthy and rundown. The room smelled of mold, and there were wasps outside the room and bugs inside it. Fortunately we arrived very late in the day and only spent one short night there before our early morning flight. We did, however, sleep with the lights on- the bugs seemed to stay to themselves more that way. There is no possible way this hotel could be rated at a two star level; it was just disgusting. I would never, ever stay there again, and in fact would not consider a Ramada again after that experience. They clearly do not care about upholding any decent standards of cleanliness and pest control! ” Jun 18, 2006 by
Lynn from Denver, CO
“This is an old, rundown hotel that should not be considered a 2 star location. The rooms are exterior entrance. The large windows right next to the door do not have locks on them- anyone can easily break in from the outside. The front desk did move me to a corner room. This window did not lock either, but someone attempting to break in would have to use a tall ladder to climb up from the ground floor. Both rooms had very noisy air conditioners, too noisy to leave on when sleeping. The room I ended up in also had a problem with bugs of multiple varieties. The electrical outlets were old and worn. I had a hard time keeping my hair dryer plugged in while drying my hair. I went down the stairs one time instead of using the elevator. At the bottom of the stairs were several used "room service" dishes piled up on the floor- another invitation for bugs. There were beautiful, old trees in the courtyard, but this is not enough to consider this hotel to be more than 1 star.” Jun 18, 2006 by
Kristen from Hendersonville, TN
“This hotel had a one-way in parking situation with no way to turn around. The decor was dark, old and cheap - from the 1960's Mediterranean era. The lighting in the room was dim and not conducive to business needs. I felt I was in a pay-by-the-hour hotel. I need to be on the road by 6:30 most mornings when doing business in LA. The restaurant didn't open until 6:30 and there was nothing around the area for breakfast There were 2 bright spots, Doris at the front desk and the tropical garden around the courtyard.” Jun 16, 2006 by
Pat from Bakersfield, CA
“Just in driving into the parking lot I got a bad feeling. It's overcrowded, littered with junk, and there's graffiti everywhere. We were immediately placed into a smoking room, I ask to move and the only thing we got was king bed (for four.) We were interrupted throughout the night with traffic, planes and trains - and loud neighbors. The room were old, dirty and smelly. I will definitely question using this service in the future.” Jun 14, 2006 by
Hector
“The room was hot the Air conditioning did not work. the room smell like mold and staff yelling across the hallway early in the morning waking us early. The elevator next to the room was noisy.” Jun 11, 2006 by
Anthony from Gilbert, AZ
“Hotel management did not realize that 4-5 people were playing volleyball in the courtyard at 1:45 a.m. Only after a call to the front desk did they realize there was this much "racket" going on. The noise kept our family, including our small children, awake until 3:00 a.m.” May 24, 2006 by
Jacqueline from Benson, AZ
“On vacation, a nice located hotel to come back to every night and rest. Great location, right off of the 5, with Olive Garden and Outback Steakhouse within a mile or two, we had a wonderful stay.” May 17, 2006 by
Raul from Palmdale, CA
“I had a very unpleasant experience, the staff was not helpful at all. I was told on three different occasions that there were no towels, pillows, blankets. I had small children who had to share pillows, and this made the experience very uncomfortable.” May 4, 2006 by
Gene from Havre De Grace, MD
“This hotel is horrible from the location which is about 50 yards from the major highway to the lack of service. The hotel is very old and run down and has not been upgraded for some time. The web site says they have microwaves and fridges in the rooms but ours did not have any. The television had cable but the reception was like having an antenna on the roof of your house fuzzy and snowy. The carpets were old and ripped, the beds were hard and the pillows were thinner than a wafer cracker. If someone has a bad back and you request more pillows you will have to repeat this about 4 times then get the response of we cant do that. The security doors that need your key card to get in work when they feel like it so you can rest assured that you are safe in this run down industrial neighborhood. If you like a dirty, trashy and run down neighborhood for your "adventure" I highly recommend the stay here. Oh, and don't order room service because you may or may not get it delivered depending on the mood of the staff. All in all this was just a really really really bad experience and I will tell everyone to stay away!!!!! I even chose the higher star rating hoping to get a better hotel, HA!” May 3, 2006 by
Karen from Mesa, AZ
“The hotel is old, and lies between the railroad and the 5 freeway. The hotel room smelled like an old trailer and the bathroom was moldy. The hairdryer had a cracked electrical plugged and to use it you had to hold the plug together. The pillows were flat about 1" and were stained which made sleeping the the bed creepy. This hotel should not be in the same category as a Marriott Courtyard. A Motel 6 would have been a welcome site over this motel. We got no sleep because the windows and door did not shut tightly and the noise was outrageous. We stay at hotels often so if there is some noise we put on the heater/cooler fan to drown it out. The fan would not come on without the heat or cool so we spent the night switching from heat to cool to keep the fan going. I dare someone to go to the motel and stay in room 316. You would not want your family staying there!!! If you want to know more my cell is 602-722-0436. ” May 3, 2006 by
Scott from Portland, OR
“The hotel is clean and amenities are adequate, however, as a business man some form of good Internet connection in the room is needed.” Apr 17, 2006 by
Matt from Alamo, CA
“Overall a very positive experience with the following exception. I bought 3 rooms. For one of the rooms, I wanted a king-size bed instead of two queens.” Apr 14, 2006 by
Matts from Finland
“The price is not high but compared to what you get it's too high. The room (no smoking) I got smelled, the noise from the highway was disturbing (at least at 4th floor). No breakfast was included in the price but maybe that was only good. No proper place to work at in the room (no desk). The whole hotel is a bit run down. Not possible to order anything from the restaurant after 9:30 pm. The hotel had free wire less internet! But the speed was not very high but I managed.” Apr 5, 2006 by
David from Alameda, CA
“This facility had a friendly staff and amenities such as an on site coffee shop, but the aging facility and long walk to the room was a bit of a hassle. The good news is that the hotel is airport and freeway close. The bad news is that the hotel is airport and freeway close. The setting is somewhat industrial and not amenable to young children such as my two year old.” Jan 19, 2006 by

“It's not even a hotel. The hallways are open to the middle garden or pool area and freeway that looms over it. When I first arrived I was given a room on the 4th floor. I immediately went to the lobby to let them know even with the door closed, the freeway noise was deafening. Luckily I was able to get a room on the 2nd floor which was somewhat quieter. In the morning you are awakened to the Metrolink train around 6:30 a.m. I called three times to get directions to the hotel. It's too bad there aren't helpful people at the desk to tell one how to get there. It's in a very tucked away, somewhat depressed area, only accessible by a small road one must know about to find it. At night, I did not feel safe when walking from the car to the hotel nor when I was walking to my room. The room had carpet that was so dirty and old I was afraid to walk barefoot on it. There were squares of carpet that had been cut out and replaced and were very visible. The baseboard areas looked as if they hadn't been cleaned or dusted for YEARS. I couldn't find an outlet to charge my cell phone. I moved a couple pieces of furniture to no avail. When I did find an outlet and plugged in, the plug fell out. Finally I found an extension cord that I could use to charge my phone. The bed was squeaky and very, very uncomfortable. I suppose this was due to my trip being close to Christmas. I never want to stay at this dump again. I cannot imagine anyone having a good experience at this awful place. .” Dec 21, 2005 by

“Nice hotel, family oriented with easy freeway access. Complimentary Internet access a big bonus.” Nov 21, 2005 by
M.J. from Lake Balboa, CA
“Same quality as a motel 6. I was a little disappointed that the non smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. The interior was also very outdated. The bathroom was decent.” Nov 3, 2005 by
Wayne from Reseda, CA
“Friendly, helpful staff, very clean hotel I would recommend to anyone.” Oct 24, 2005 by
Kathy from Yuma, AZ
“For the price I paid which is the price I would have paid if I called the hotel directly I would not recommend it to anyone. Not very clean and did not smell good. There were ants in the first room I was given and mold in the next room I stayed in.” Oct 17, 2005 by
Pete from Rowley, MA
“Simply put, don't stay here. She area is very bad, it is right on the freeway so noise is very bad, the hotel is filthy. Rooms haven't been updated in decades. Park at your own risk and stay away from the stairs, they are filthy and filled with trash.”
