Danielle from San Diego, CA
“The room was okay, the beds were really comfortable and it was close to Universal Studios and to the freeway. I enjoyed the convenience of having a fridge and microwave, and the closet was really big. However, the plumbing in the bathroom was horrible, the sink took forever to drain and the shower took forever to heat up and the hot water had low water pressure.” Jun 1, 2008 by
Howard
“Adequate rooms for the location, close to airport. But a bit high for the quality of the room. Only redeeming factor was location. Of course it is an older hotel so the size of the rooms was smaller than todays standards. Hotels around this location are much higher in cost but also much newer.” May 27, 2008 by
Vanecia from Newark, CA
“Staff was extremely friendly. Located near shopping areas also right by Universal studios. Springs were felt on every part of the bed.” Nov 15, 2007 by
Ruthie from Visalia, CA
“Bed soft and clean room clean with microwave and fridge pastries and coffee in the morning. Parking is bad some must park on street and when you park in the lot must back out to get out onto a very busy street and only one handicap space in the whole lot.” Nov 14, 2007 by
Candace “It's just a cheap motel, not terrible or anything, just cheap. The main thing I didn't like was the lack of security. It's an open horseshoe design, and so you feel vulnerable after getting used to hotels with a front desk. ESA, has key-entry outer doors at night.” Nov 10, 2007 by
Adrian from Acoma, NM
“I would not recommend this hotel.” Nov 5, 2007 by
Ed from La Verne, CA
“Spartan, dirty, noisy traffic early am, and under poor repair.” Aug 28, 2007 by
Jerry from Tucson, AZ
“When I checked in I was told that the water to the building was off. Once the water was restored the hot water pressure was too low to take a shower. I had to shower at a local friends home. The TV did not catch all of the channels listed on a card on top of the TV. The iron was leaking water and the ironing board was stained and dirty. The toilet water tank was leaking and the refilling every hour, thus waking me up through the night. The office clerk was unaware of where to log my trip reward account number for my stay.” Aug 27, 2007 by
Cheryl from Chandler, AZ
“This hotel was the worse Ive ever stayed in. I have pictures on my camera to show you; mold in bathroom, doorjamb with exposed wood like someone tried to break in, screens on window falling off, windows themselves didn't lock, smelled, dirty, trash from last occupant. Outlet in bathroom built halfway in shower. Very unsafe. Outlet in bedroom overloaded, refrigerator unplugged; afraid to plug it in for fear of fire hazard. Extremely disappointed with everything! Will use another source next time that doesn't list bottom of the barrel hotels.” Jul 25, 2007 by
Bala from Orangevale, CA
“Hotel is in a good location (close to airport). Parking is a bit narrow. The staff was nice. Complimentary breakfast ran out quite soon. I ended up just having the coffee. Overall, recommend it if you are staying alone and/or on a short trip.” Feb 24, 2007 by
Lloyd from Nevada, MO
“It appeared as a hotel that a person might want to rent by an hour with a new friend.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 8, 2007 by

“Very efficient check in. Room had microwave, refrigerator, coffeemaker w/coffee, good a/c, clock radio, HBO. Also, coffee and Danish in the lobby in the morning. Use today. Good hot water in shower stall. Fresh towels every day. I was very pleased.” Jan 16, 2007 by
Jemma from Gainesville, FL
“I would not recommend this hotel to seniors or females traveling alone. For the area and the price I expected better.” Dec 27, 2006 by
Marcella from Crescent City, CA
“It was very quiet and clean. It's located in the hub of things. I was very pleased with my stay.” Dec 8, 2006 by
Drew from Fullerton, CA
“Parking was tight, but the person that checked me in was pleasant and informative. I expected the room to be small, so that was ok, but it had a strange odor. The beds were 3 feet from where the door of the bathroom was which was odd, but for some might be convenient. For a 1 star hotel, and just me wanting a quick overnighter, and the price, it was ok. I would not have stayed more than one night.” Nov 22, 2006 by
Amy from San Diego, CA
“We chose to travel on a busy weekend where a majority of the nearby hotels were booked, and stay near universal studios-- and ended up getting what was available in town for a 1-star property. We found the beds to be small, and the room to be dated, but a good choice for us when all we were doing was coming in late at night and leaving early in the morning.” May 18, 2006 by
Michael from St Louis, MO
“The room I was assigned to at the Burbank Travelodge was filthy and disgusting. It smelled like "1000 ashtray's" The shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor. The toilet "ran" constantly, and the maid service was pathetic. The bathroom towels were old, stained and were only fit for car washing. The furniture was old, dirty and too large for the room. The bed was lumpy and uneven. I have no intentions of ever staying at the Burbank Travelodge again.” Apr 30, 2006 by
Michelle from Umatilla, OR
“I will never stay there again nor would I tell a friend or family member about this place rooms looked dirty and needed repair.” Apr 26, 2006 by
James from Grover Beach, CA
“It looked clean on the exterior and was accessible from the freeway. However, our room was the smallest and smoke-filled room we have ever stayed in. We ordered a room totally different than what we were given as well. The bathroom was clean, but the air conditioner was broken and busted. I had to air the room out for an hour to be able to breathe comfortably.” Apr 8, 2006 by
Hugo from Austin, TX
“This hotel upstairs floors creaked and had prostitutes working in upstairs rooms and at the same time the smell of what ever they smoked in their room penetrated bottom rooms it was a long night and very stressful.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 6, 2006 by

“The hotel was way overpriced. The rooms were dirty, the carpeting was all spotted. We arrived at check-in time and were told the room was not ready. The clerk said we could leave our luggage in the closet. There was no closet and we were told the door had to remain open, so we kept the luggage in the car while we parked at the train station for a day trip. When we got back after 10 pm, after having to leave expensive electronics in the car for the whole time, we called the front desk because there was no remote. The operator told us to "look for it under the bed." The coffee that was left-over in our room in the morning was not poured out so the pot was dirty. There were many electronic things plugged into outlets that were unsafely split and still I could not plug in my computer to recharge without moving furniture. When I got up at 8:30 and was dressed by 9, I walked to the office and was told the free breakfast ended at 9, although there was no literature in the room which said that. When we got back after a full day (at 5 pm) the maid still had not cleaned the room. The parking spaces were too tight and several times my car nearly got hit when I tried to negotiate the lot. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 16, 2005 by

“A bad maid can happen anywhere. But this place had the worst attitude in the office. Any problems with maid service I was clearly given to understand were not their problem, take it up with the maid. Apparently Travelodge isn't really a chain, they just rent out their name to any scummy motel that wants to use it. They appear to have no quality control whatsoever. I'm a long-time user of chains like Super 8 and Motel 6, and have usually been quite satisfied. But I will avoid Travelodge now. Don't be fooled by the "continental breakfast". At the Mill Valley Travelodge this was a decent spread, but at the Burbank Travelodge it consisted of only caffeine coffee and plastic-wrapped Danish, not even any juice.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 17, 2005 by

“Travelodge is located nicely off and busy street. quite small but understanding the area was ecceptable.room was not very clean ,as I went to plug in my ac adaptor which was near the bed I found an empty candy wrapper as well as somebody's plastic dental tooth floss pick. looking in the bathroom there was film from the previous occupants shower on the shower door. most of the experiences that I have have been fairly good. this one was one of the worst.”
