• This was a horrible experience.
• This hotel was dark, dreary and basically unfriendly.

“I was very disappointed. This hotel was not worth the price paid. They do not have enough parking spaces. For the most part the front desk was curt if not downright rude.”

• We liked that they gave us a ride and since we didn't have a vehicle the location had places to walk to.
• The hot tub was cold.

“I would definitely stay here again. Although it was a little ways from the airport, we were picked up by the shuttle bus right away. The location had a small shopping mall within walking distance. The continental breakfast was better than normal. The staff was extremely friendly.”

• Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.

“Tidy motel style rooms and great breakfast of cereals, donuts, bread, fruit, juice, and coffee. The location is its downside. It is not a dangerous area at all but just a nothing area. Perfect however if you need somewhere 5 minutes from the airport but not so good if you need access to other parts of LA. The Ladera shopping center is across the street.”

• Hard to drive onto hotel premises. Funny location.

• It had a microwave and fridge when many 3/4 stars didn't, free parking!
• Parking area small and cramped, awkward location of spa, no pool, breakfast was pitiful.

“Service was quick but not necessarily friendly. The maid service barged in on us every morning (knocked while entering) luckily we had the top lock on. But the room was clean and neat and it included a fridge and micro and many of the other rooms we stayed in did not. It was also close to expressways and many restaurants and shopping.”

• Noisy hotel. Open courtyard invited more noise.

“The rooms are well appointed and clean, but the overall layout of the facility invites noise. Rooms are situated above carport-type parking area so you can hear car noises as other guests come and go. This hotel, really a motel, has outdoor walkways around an open courtyard. You constantly hear everything going on outside: other guests walking down the walkways, doors slamming, and really loud housekeeping carts. Also this place is near busy unattractive triangular intersection of Cantilena, La Cinema, and La Tijeras. Not exactly LA's most attractive location. If you're a really heavy sleeper, you might do OK. Try to get a room in the back on the 3rd floor so no one's stomping above you.”

• Convent location, friendly staff, reasonable cost.
• Scratchy linens.

“This hotel was quiet even though it was close to the airport. The sheets and towels were a bit scratchy although the second night's sheets were a vast improvement over the first. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but an improvement over the $30 average breakfast we had at the coffee shop a block from the motel. For budget traveling, I would stay there again. Centrally located to most points of interest of a 'tourist' in la.”

• The room was nicely furnished.
• Hard to get into the hotel parking lot.

“The room at this hotel was nicely furnished and very clean. The high-speed internet required a password (provided by the front desk) and so was not "overworked" by non-guests. It was very difficult to physically get into the hotel. It is on a street which is a de-facto one-way street, and you have to make a u-turn to go in the proper direction. The continental breakfast consisted of a half-dozen day-old donuts and coffee from one of those new foamy coffee vending-type machines. I won't be staying there again.”

• Proximity to stores and freeway access.
• Staff, accommodations, cleanliness were all poor.

“This facility is close to LAX, the 405fwy and stores, but the cleanliness and lack of professional staff left a lot to be desired. I would not recommend this Best Western to my family or friends.”

• Quick checkout.
• Inadequate parking.

“Not enough parking spaces for all guests, so we had to search for parking on the very busy main street out in front. Cigarette butts on walkway in front of non-smoking room next to us was there for 2 days we were there. Room shakes when someone walks by outside.”

• Coffee in room was not refilled 2 days in a row.

“Clean, warm, quiet-fridge was noisy! Had to turn it off to sleep. Plenty of towels and soap refills daily. Internet was easy and fast. Vending machines full and with a variety of treats. Some soliciting outside upon arrival by a tall young lady in short shorts, my 8 yr. Old daughter saw and asked what she was doing there.”

• No bell captain.. but bell captain service.
• Nothing. Very pleased.

“Looks like a dive... but 2 miles from lax.. and across the street from Magic Johnson everything.. gas station.. his TGI Fridays. I was pleased. The room was clean.. The staff was good and helpful.. I could see my car and for the area.. I felt safe... even though I was in the "WOOD"A darn good bang for your buck.”
