Jerry from La Mirada,CA
“The location near the airport served me well. We ordered out, don't. There is nothing good outside or near the hotel unless you want Subway. So, we should of chanced it and ordered in and payed the premium. The parking is pricey. Overall not bad, but not great. I would experience other places before deciding this is the place I consistently want to stay if I am doing business in the LA airport area. Thanks.” Oct 26, 2009 by
Henry from Jacksonville,OR
“Doesn't measure up.” Oct 25, 2009 by
Vicky from Winchester,MA
“The lobby looks great and everything, but the exterior design tells tales of an old motel six being remodeled. Interior/upstairs is very run down, needs new carpet, interior, bathroom. Need a better cleaning staff, as well as concierge.” Oct 23, 2009 by
Mario from Milpitas,CA
“The price was good but the fee to park is too high and the room was not ready although i was checking in close to midnight! it was ridiculous.” Oct 16, 2009 by
Sue from Menifee,CA
“This is a wonderful, luxurious, comfortable, very clean hotel.” Oct 2, 2009 by
Chuck from Castaic,CA
“Valet is way overpriced, Hotel is nice, rooms are dated, restaurant is horrible.” Oct 2, 2009 by
Alex from Grass Valley,CA
“I could not wait to write a review of this hotel. Being tired, and just needing to get a good nights sleep, we arrived and were greeted by the worst bell staff that I have ever encountered. We unloaded our bags, on a cart, and were then told to make sure we did not keep the cart. The offer of assistance was after we had already taken care of all that needed to be done anyways. The shuttle to the airport had several stops, so you better give yourself at least an extra 30 minutes to get to the airport. Almost missed my flight, as United Airlines is the last stop at LAX.” Oct 1, 2009 by
Gabby from Los Angeles,CA
“Very nice when you first walk in to lobby. Easy check in and check out. I don't think the room was a four star. Carpets had stains and things looked old.” Aug 31, 2009 by
Carol from Chattanooga,TN
“I have stayed at most of the hotels near LAX as a stop over. Would be good to have a cheaper spot for quick sandwich etc.” Jul 12, 2009 by
David from Cincinnati,OH “I was there for less than 9 hours. So it is near impossible to answer the other questions.” Jul 2, 2009 by
Thomas from Ft. Lauderdale,FL
“I've stayed here before and was pleased.” Jun 25, 2009 by
Arlene from San Miguel,CA
“This is a decent hotel for what we paid but not a 4-star. The Hilton Garden Inn is much better. I would recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn if you are in the LAX/El Segundo Area. Our friends stayed there and their spa, rooms, and customer service was 110% better. Plus they paid less then we did after the parking fees of $18 per day were applied. I think the biggest disappointment was the customer service. They never explained where to park or how much is costs, how to get to our room, the location of the pool/spa, room or guest services. I had to go back and ask. I would rate this Hotel at 2.5 stars. I slept well and thought the meeting facilities were nice.” Jun 4, 2009 by
Aisha from Papillion,NE
“Overall my stay at the Westin was a good one. They accommodated me to the best of their abilities. I also appreciated the discount I received on parking because I was staying so long (9 nights total). However, like I said before, it was a great inconvenience not to have free Internet. I know that less expensive hotels offer free Internet, a continental breakfast, and free parking in a lot, and they are good quality hotels. I know that this is an upscale hotel, but to gain goodwill among the customers, free Internet is a must. If that isn't an option, then either get rid of the parking fee or offer a continental breakfast.” Jun 1, 2009 by
Tracy from Kansas,OK
“I wasn't impressed by the sheets softness or the size of the towels. I thought it should be cheaper to park if you are a guest. It was $2/more a day than park & fly rates.” May 31, 2009 by
Kit from Nashua,NH
“Great hotel, friendly and accommodating staff. Clean, centrally located in the LA area. I would definitely stay there again.” May 28, 2009 by
from Las Vegas,NV
“The quality of the hotel was not up to our expectation of a 4 star hotel. Staff was not friendly. Concierge gave us wrong time information on City Walk so we wasted entire night driving around. After complaining to the front desk, we received 2 complimentary breakfast. Will not recommend this hotel.” May 28, 2009 by
Daniel from San Francisco,CA
“Staff was friendly however the hotel in general did no seem the cleanest.” May 19, 2009 by
Eric from Castro Valley,CA
“I have no complaints about the hotel other than having to pay that much for being a hotel guest.” May 18, 2009 by
Gary from Bayport,NY
“An upscale property very close to the airport.” May 13, 2009 by
John from Batavia,IL
“Very nice room, wonderful accommodating staff and extremely reasonable.” May 13, 2009 by
Christina from San Francisco,CA
“Good place to be for business and family getaway, very clean and good staff. Excellent parking place.” May 12, 2009 by
from Ardmore,PA
“My impression is that this hotel is going overboard in trying to get much extra (unjustified money as possible. Has no refrigerator - the only refrigerator is a mini bar, that automatically charges if you move (not remove) an item, and it has no space to store anything else. The on-site restaurant cost $41+ for a run-of-the-mill breakfast for two (pancakes and coffee). $18 parking.” Mar 25, 2009 by
Jennifer from Slo,CA
“Good location-close to airport, Santa Monica pier, and downtown. Beds were very comfortable. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were tiny. Didn't hear airplane noise inside hotel at all.” Mar 22, 2009 by
Cherie from Santa Ynez,CA
“The Westin was conveniently located near LAX. When we walked inside, it was very nicely decorated. The staff was very professional and very helpful. They even had parking for our car while we were gone.” Mar 7, 2009 by
Tish from Gatineau,Canada
“Great location for travelers catching a plane. Take advantage of the trolley system when you are there, so that you can find restaurants and shops if you have extra time. This way you don't need to rent a car.” Mar 6, 2009 by
Fred from San Diego,CA
“This hotel looks good from the outside, but inside, the room is old and dirty. The carpet looks like it has been used for decades. The bathroom is decorated like lower scale hotel. The desk has many cup stains on it. TV is old and small, and it's hard to get the remote control to work. Bed and linen is okay.” Mar 3, 2009 by
Linda from Thunder Bay,Canada
“It was a quick overnight stay and for what I needed, the hotel met my needs.” Feb 25, 2009 by
Chris from Calgary,Canada
“Not bad, but no 4 star. Stayed at Westin St. Francis in Frisco same time last year, which is easily 1 star better. But staff helpful in LA Airport version, and great location. Supper at restaurant was 2 1/2 star. Good service, mediocre meal. Nice to have an in-hotel Starbucks in the morning.” Feb 24, 2009 by
Susan from Reno,NV
“Excellent location and value. Close to airport for flying in and out of LAX.” Feb 22, 2009 by
Chad from Bakersfield,CA
“Didn't sleep well because the rooom was too hot and my sleep was disrupted by barking dogs and dump trucks.” Feb 20, 2009 by
Brian from Calgary,Canada
“The rooms were in very poor shape. Our first room had a window hanging out of its frame. We had no bath towels at 8pm. Floor and bath tiles were cracked; grout discolored. The bathroom sink had a large crack as did the vanity. The carpets were stained. The night - table had veneer missing from the top. Not 4 star quality.” Feb 11, 2009 by
Brenda from Puyallup,WA
“It was nice. I was not in the hotel for very long though. I wanted to order in-room service of a bowl of soup because I was tired. It was $8.50 (which was fine, a $1.00 more than dining downstairs) but then there was a $4.00 delivery fee and an automatic 15% gratuity. This $8.50 soup becomes almost $14.00. I just decided to go to bed hungry.” Feb 6, 2009 by
Michael from Garden City,KS
“The Westin at LAX made me feel very uncomfortable for many reasons.” Jan 28, 2009 by
Sherry from Tucson,AZ
“We were extremely pleased with the reception and restaurant staff. We were not as pleased with the cleanliness of the room. Also is in need of updating. Furnishing starting to appear a bit shabby.” Jan 26, 2009 by
from Pocatello,ID
“Extremely dirty. I felt it was misrepresented in the price as one MUST pay for parking. Parts of the elevators don't work.” Jan 25, 2009 by
Jesus from Chicago,IL
“Good for a business stay.” Jan 13, 2009 by
Lori from Gig Harbor,WA
“Excellent location. Very clean and cozy. Easy parking. Every member of the staff went out of their way to make the stay easy from getting directions to breakfast to go. We will absolutely stay at the Westin again.” Jan 10, 2009 by
Melinda from Beulah,MI
“Good location for LAX business, Roy was helpful, but even though I was told due to the extenuating circumstances I might be able to stay another night, in the end they chose to stick to 'regulations' rather than value the relationship.” Jan 8, 2009 by
Lou from San Francisco,CA
“This particular Westin I felt fell short of Westin usual high standards. It felt like a dressed up Holiday Inn. The bed was the center piece of the room. The TV was old, the bathroom was not too exciting, but the bathroom toiletries were good.” Jan 2, 2009 by
Audrey from Abbotsford,Canada
“ice and clean, large rooms. Close to LAX. Would like to have more restaurants and shopping around.” Dec 25, 2008 by
Roxanne from Anchorage,AK
“Excellent choice for staying near LAX.” Dec 19, 2008 by
Manfred from Aschaffenburg,DE
“It is a very convenient hotel for short or long stays in the L.A. area. The short distance to the airport makes it hustle-free to rest right after a flight or go to the next flight.” Dec 5, 2008 by
from Ridgecrest,CA
“This hotel was amazing. I really enjoyed staying there except for the fact that at 3 am there was a fire evacuation because some of the cleaning people activated the fire sensors by accident. Other than that it was great!” Dec 4, 2008 by
Brandon from Visalia,CA
“This was the 4 time we had stayed at that hotel. The first room we were assigned had a shower and tub that was dirty and full of soot. The second room given had a toilet that was full of brown water (didn't look too closely.) The third room we were given was already occupied (which was kind of embarassing). Our fourth room was nice, but 15 minutes after unpacking, other guests tried to get in as they were given that room also.” Nov 17, 2008 by
Sue from Chicago,ID
“Very friendly, staff, clean room, nice health-club, excellent food. When I placed a 6:30 AM wake-up call, they asked if I'd like another call 10 minutes later -- very nice touch! The shower had two shower-heads, which made for an excellent water-pressure -- that's the first time I ever saw a double-headed shower and I really liked it. I really thought that for the price of the rooms, a continental breakfast should have been included. I was also surprised that a small room fridge was not provided. But the location was great, and I really have no complaints, and would likely stay there again.” Nov 17, 2008 by
Michael from Lees Summit,MO
“This is a very nice hotel. It is close to the airport and not as expensive as other hotels of it's quality.” Nov 16, 2008 by
Anna from La Jolla,CA
“It is a good hotel, it is not the closest to the airport but well connected and conveniently located close to rental car facilities.” Nov 9, 2008 by
Deborah from Mill Valley,CA
“This hotel is an excellent choice if you are traveling into LAX for business or for a quick layover on your way to another destination. The hotel staff is friendly, courteous and very interested in pleasing guests. They even comped my parking without my asking! The hotel lobby has a starbucks which is quite convenient. The rooms are spacious and relatively updated. I was very satisfied with my stay.” Nov 2, 2008 by
James
“Nice hotel.” Oct 30, 2008 by

“The room itself was clean and the staff were friendly. However, my friend arrived first and asked them to clean our room so we could check in early, and this was never done. So I arrived an hour later, and the room was still not cleaned and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes. We had to go pick up the rental car and didn't check in until the evening. Also, after we had our room cleaned the first time, they took both our towels and didn't leave any new ones. We had to call housekeeping and get new towels dropped off that night.”
