  • Great lobby area and comfortable bed.

“ I'm not sure the hotel knows what "clean" means. There was a thick layer of dust on the nightstands that was never removed during our 3 night stay. There were dirty things on the walls and the shower curtains. I hardly dared to take my shoes off. There was a big, dirty chair that I would have never dared sit in. There was no where to eat nearby (not even close). ”

“ A good 3 star hotel. Nothing special to the rooms really, and drawers were broken, making it difficult to use. Very dusty and I was really disappointed after seeing dirty cleaning rags left in our room after we generously tipped housekeeping. Not a very classy place. Also, front desk could be friendlier. They have a 5 star hotel attitude which is really disappointing when you're staying in a 3 star hotel. ”

  • Location near the airport.
  • Parking fee expensive, Rooms are beginning to show wear and tear.

“The location near the airport served me well. We ordered out, don't. There is nothing good outside or near the hotel unless you want Subway. So, we should of chanced it and ordered in and payed the premium. The parking is pricey. Overall not bad, but not great. I would experience other places before deciding this is the place I consistently want to stay if I am doing business in the LA airport area. Thanks.”

  • Clean sheets and towels.
  • Old rusted carpet, doors and everything, toilet was not clean.

“The lobby looks great and everything, but the exterior design tells tales of an old motel six being remodeled. Interior/upstairs is very run down, needs new carpet, interior, bathroom. Need a better cleaning staff, as well as concierge.”

  • The first room smelled of mold, staff is terrible.

“I could not wait to write a review of this hotel. Being tired, and just needing to get a good nights sleep, we arrived and were greeted by the worst bell staff that I have ever encountered. We unloaded our bags, on a cart, and were then told to make sure we did not keep the cart. The offer of assistance was after we had already taken care of all that needed to be done anyways. The shuttle to the airport had several stops, so you better give yourself at least an extra 30 minutes to get to the airport. Almost missed my flight, as United Airlines is the last stop at LAX.”

    decor was
    old.

  • There were towels available by the pool.
  • Paid $18 for parking each day, old dirty furniture, no fridge, bad customer service, had to ask for everything.

“This is a decent hotel for what we paid but not a 4-star. The Hilton Garden Inn is much better. I would recommend staying at the Hilton Garden Inn if you are in the LAX/El Segundo Area. Our friends stayed there and their spa, rooms, and customer service was 110% better. Plus they paid less then we did after the parking fees of $18 per day were applied. I think the biggest disappointment was the customer service. They never explained where to park or how much is costs, how to get to our room, the location of the pool/spa, room or guest services. I had to go back and ask. I would rate this Hotel at 2.5 stars. I slept well and thought the meeting facilities were nice.”

  • Large rooms.
  • No free internet which is especially tough for business travelers.

“Overall my stay at the Westin was a good one. They accommodated me to the best of their abilities. I also appreciated the discount I received on parking because I was staying so long (9 nights total). However, like I said before, it was a great inconvenience not to have free Internet. I know that less expensive hotels offer free Internet, a continental breakfast, and free parking in a lot, and they are good quality hotels. I know that this is an upscale hotel, but to gain goodwill among the customers, free Internet is a must. If that isn't an option, then either get rid of the parking fee or offer a continental breakfast.”

“I wasn't impressed by the sheets softness or the size of the towels. I thought it should be cheaper to park if you are a guest. It was $2/more a day than park & fly rates.”

  • Hotel was outdated, staff was not friendly, concierge provided wrong information.

“The quality of the hotel was not up to our expectation of a 4 star hotel. Staff was not friendly. Concierge gave us wrong time information on City Walk so we wasted entire night driving around. After complaining to the front desk, we received 2 complimentary breakfast. Will not recommend this hotel.”

  • Automatic mini bar records purchase if you move an item; no refrigerator.

“My impression is that this hotel is going overboard in trying to get much extra (unjustified money as possible. Has no refrigerator - the only refrigerator is a mini bar, that automatically charges if you move (not remove) an item, and it has no space to store anything else. The on-site restaurant cost $41+ for a run-of-the-mill breakfast for two (pancakes and coffee). $18 parking.”

  • It was perfect because it was close to the airport and had a free shuttle as well as a trolley service for $3 per person that you could travel around.

“Great location for travelers catching a plane. Take advantage of the trolley system when you are there, so that you can find restaurants and shops if you have extra time. This way you don't need to rent a car.”

  • The lobby is spacious and open. Easy drive in and out of the hotel.
  • The room smells and looks old. Desk has stain. Bathroom does not look clean.

“This hotel looks good from the outside, but inside, the room is old and dirty. The carpet looks like it has been used for decades. The bathroom is decorated like lower scale hotel. The desk has many cup stains on it. TV is old and small, and it's hard to get the remote control to work. Bed and linen is okay.”

“Not bad, but no 4 star. Stayed at Westin St. Francis in Frisco same time last year, which is easily 1 star better. But staff helpful in LA Airport version, and great location. Supper at restaurant was 2 1/2 star. Good service, mediocre meal. Nice to have an in-hotel Starbucks in the morning.”

“The rooms were in very poor shape. Our first room had a window hanging out of its frame. We had no bath towels at 8pm. Floor and bath tiles were cracked; grout discolored. The bathroom sink had a large crack as did the vanity. The carpets were stained. The night - table had veneer missing from the top. Not 4 star quality.”

“It was nice. I was not in the hotel for very long though. I wanted to order in-room service of a bowl of soup because I was tired. It was $8.50 (which was fine, a $1.00 more than dining downstairs) but then there was a $4.00 delivery fee and an automatic 15% gratuity. This $8.50 soup becomes almost $14.00. I just decided to go to bed hungry.”

  • A tragedy struck in my family, and the hotel chose not to accomodate me - I couldn't book later.

“Good location for LAX business, Roy was helpful, but even though I was told due to the extenuating circumstances I might be able to stay another night, in the end they chose to stick to 'regulations' rather than value the relationship.”

“This particular Westin I felt fell short of Westin usual high standards. It felt like a dressed up Holiday Inn. The bed was the center piece of the room. The TV was old, the bathroom was not too exciting, but the bathroom toiletries were good.”

“This hotel was amazing. I really enjoyed staying there except for the fact that at 3 am there was a fire evacuation because some of the cleaning people activated the fire sensors by accident. Other than that it was great!”

“This was the 4 time we had stayed at that hotel. The first room we were assigned had a shower and tub that was dirty and full of soot. The second room given had a toilet that was full of brown water (didn't look too closely.) The third room we were given was already occupied (which was kind of embarassing). Our fourth room was nice, but 15 minutes after unpacking, other guests tried to get in as they were given that room also.”

  • Double-headed shower! Also, Starbucks coffee in room.
  • No contintental breakfast; no fridge in the room.

“Very friendly, staff, clean room, nice health-club, excellent food. When I placed a 6:30 AM wake-up call, they asked if I'd like another call 10 minutes later -- very nice touch! The shower had two shower-heads, which made for an excellent water-pressure -- that's the first time I ever saw a double-headed shower and I really liked it. I really thought that for the price of the rooms, a continental breakfast should have been included. I was also surprised that a small room fridge was not provided. But the location was great, and I really have no complaints, and would likely stay there again.”
