• The beds were comfortable and the location was terrific. It was quiet and service was excellent.
• Parking was a hassle. It's difficult to find a spot and it's difficult to leave. Allow an extra 10-15 minutes just to leave the parking lot.

“First night was placed in smoking but they quickly moved me the next day. Accidentally left items (valuable items) when we changed to Non Smoking. Excellent service on returning items safely to me. Beds were very comfortable, pizza was terrific but parking. Parking is not convenient.”

“The hotel is in a great location with access to LAX. The shuttle service was excellent - we left the hotel at 3 AM and the shuttle was there within five minutes of our asking. The rooms and clean, comfortable and attractive.”

• Housekeeping staff was friendly & helpful.
• Needs updating badly. Not up to par with other 3* hotels in LAX area.

“Good location, but the hotel is way at the bottom end of the LAX hotels in terms of room quality. Mattress was awful, pillows were synthetic (not feather) and not comfortable, and room looked tired. Management should visit the Marriott across the street for an example of how to renovate their hotel. The Marriott rocks, sorry Crowne Plaza is not even a player.”

“This hotel has a better than average food quality and is perfectly located for an LAX layover. The common areas and rooms are showing some wear and need to be refurbished if this hotel wants to be a 3 star. Shuttle service to LAX was ok.”

• The airport view from the room.
• Hotel hasn't been upgraded for years, in the rooms there is old and ugly carped. All looked old terrible smell.

“Hotel disappointed me. They didn't have non-smoking kind of rooms available. We were placed in a 2 double bed, smoking room. I'm not a smoker and my wife neither so it was hard for as to accommodate. Hotel hasn't been upgraded for years, in the rooms there is old and ugly carped, that spoils the view, makes a bad general impression, all looked old.”

• It had a quiet zone.
• No full partition between living spaces and there was no free parking.

“They make every effort to cater to your comfort. The food was excellent and the restaurant was convenient. The rooms were spacious and quiet on the quiet zone floor. It was clean and close to the airport with shuttles to downtown and the airport. We were very comfortable and only wished there was a full partition between the sitting area and the sleeping area so we could read, while the other one slept.”

• It's located near LAX.
• The rooms were old, worn.

“The staff was very nice and helpful, but the hotel rooms were dark, worn. The first room we were in the door to the bathroom stuck closed. We called maintenance and they said there were so many coats of paint on the door jam, it would take forever to fix, so they moved us to another room.”

• Very nice entry area; close to LAX, and our kids.
• Our room showed considerable wear and tear.

“Very good value. Great location for our purposes in L.A. Clean and welcoming entry area. Great elevators--we've never seen them quicker. Would have liked not having to pay $12 every day for parking. Our room, and the hallways, showed a fair amount of wear and tear. It looks like they're due for an update. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.”

• Very convenient location if going to LAX, excellent shuttle service to airport.
• The hotel really needs a face lift.

“Walls, carpet, bedroom and bathroom decor need upgrading. At 4:00 am I was surprised to see how many of us were using the shuttle service to LAX. That service was a real plus.”

“I checked into the hotel and was met with front desk staff that was relaxed, friendly, efficient and well-informed. (How often does that happen?) Then I went up and opened the door to a comfortable, spacious room and relaxed as the sun set. Feeling hungry, I went down for an outstanding meal of fresh sushi and frosty cold beer at the mini-sushi bar with a nice and fun sushi master. Back to sleep in a heavenly bed. My wake-up call went without a hitch and the shuttle delivered me to the airport smoothly even though it was 4 in the morning. When I came back from my trip, I even stopped back to buy that Krispy Kreme donut that had beckoned me before from yet another friendly staff person. Was I satisfied? Without a doubt, this was one of the nicest experiences I have had at a hotel in a long time. I look forward to staying at this hotel again. In fact, I may go and stay even if I don't have to fly out of LAX!”

• Thin walls! A little worn; pool was smallish.

“Set up to be a solid three star hotel but looks/feels like it was last updated in the mid-1980's. Not at all a bad place! But, the walls were paper thin (could hear the entire 1 am phone conversation of the occupant next door - thought she was in the hallway but she was in her room); the outdoor pool is relatively small; the person at the front desk was great and very helpful.”

• If you were flying out of LAX this would be very easy to travel to the hotel.
• The Hotel staff was consistently messing up. We would ask for a room service menu and they brought us a bucket of ice.

“The only convenient thing was the location of hotel to LAX. Other than this was not a pleasant experience. The staff constantly was giving us the wrong order. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. The bathroom in the room was not very clean. The coffee machine down in the restaurant broke down more than once during our stay. I was very disappointed with the rating of this hotel.”

“Although there was a $12/day parking charge it did really matter as it was very close to the airport. The beds were comfortable, but the steam room needed some scrubbing or disinfecting as it smelled and looked grimy. Other than that, I had a comfortable stay.”

• I was very surprised to see the quality and cleanliness of the room and entire hotel.
• Longer pool hours, especially for adults would be a great plus.

• The front desk staff and concierge staff were extremely helpful.
• One of the rooms we were offered had some very bad stains on the carpet.

“When my husband and I checked in the front desk put us in a room on the concierge level! However, the room had not been cleaned (it was after 9:00 pm). Housekeeping was called but didn't show up for over 1.5 hours. We had gone to eat and when we came back the room was still not cleaned. The concierge and the front desk kept scrambling trying to get someone from housekeeping to get to the room. They offered us another room but the carpet was badly stained and we declined. Ultimately, the room was cleaned. The front desk manager paid for our dinner and the rest of the stay was uneventful and relaxing.”

“This hotel could definitely use a makeover. You could tell that the towels and washcloths were extremely over-used. Also there were a lot of stains on the carpet. The TV's are extremely outdated, had a red hue to the picture that could not be adjusted.”

• The parking garage staff was mostly rude. No hi how are you! no please or ever a thank you!

“I believe that little changes could go along way. More smiles, more cleaning in rooms. A little bleach and water bottle squirted twice week in rooms baths is inexpensive and keeps mold at bay (that in long run costs you more as mold is corrosive!”

• The air conditioning was dreadfully noisy. I could not sleep with it on. The common areas were worn dirty and the entire hotel smells bad.

“The service was poor at best. The hotel provided nothing in my room. If I had to do it again, I would have chosen a different hotel. Also the wait staff in the dining room spoke only Spanish to each other and argued and had a general bad disposition.”

• Poor value, incredibly noisy, well worn mattress and carpeting, microscopic pool in terrible location for sun.

“Noise from Lax and run down rooms, stopped up bathroom sinks and peeling ceiling paint, stacking pillows and comforters to block out sunlight, made for miserable sleep and pitiful value. I am going to stay a few miles further out at one of the beaches next time.”

• The beds were very nice, slept like a baby.
• Had to walk pass people smoking just to get into the hotel, very rude having people blow smoke in your face.

“Everything turned out for the good staying at this hotel, it's a very nice hotel and the location is great. Close to everything, you have to try Carl Jr.s hamburgers, I got addicted to them while I was there. The parking in the garage is very tight, spaces are very small, plan on parking at the top and use 2 spaces.”
