“The hotel was immaculate, the room was very comfortable, the staff was warm and friendly, and the location (at entrance to LAX) and shuttle bus made catching an early morning flight very easy. Parking, food choices at the hotel and internet access charges were expensive. We had a pleasant stay.”

- I was impressed by the spaciousness of the hotel.
- Walking to my room was very disappointing. The decor of the hallways can be modernized.
“Overall, this hotel was a good stay. Not a lot of noise, good service, and great location. Some modern amenities could enhance the comfort and guest satisfaction (i.e. flat panel TV's, I-pod or mp3 docking station, or contemporary artwork). In a nut shell, great stay!”

- The room smelled of smoke.
“The room was clean but smelled of smoke. There were not enough towels we had to call down and get more. The bathtub drain was slow to drain. The Elevators were very slow; we had to wait close to 10 minutes for the elevators on the 4th floor. Not what we expected for a 4 star rated hotel.”

“This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in including those I've been in all around the world! Beautiful, clean, comfortable beds. I loved the bed! Everyone was really friendly and the food in the restaurant was superb. Right at the airport, and no airplane noise! I slept so soundly. This is the only place for me at lax!”

- The location was great for what we want to do.
- If this is a 4-star than the hotels in NYC that we stayed at are 5 plus.

- Front desk clerk did not fulfill my expectations.
“When we registered we were given a King and when I requested two queens instead, the desk clerk told me they did not have two queens available. Then She said they had two queen beds if I accepted an up charge? I can't remember when two queens cost more than a King? Clerk was not very well trained in customer service.”

- Friendly staff, beautiful lobby, great rooms.
- A lot of traffic to and from if you are not flying out of lax.
“The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, roomy and the beds were comfortable. The rooms were pretty quiet, but we were on the third floor and did hear some noise from road and hallways. There are meeting rooms on the third floor as well. There is a Starbucks in the lobby, so could get coffee in the morning. It was a good value for the quality of this nice upscale hotel.”

- Parking (fee) is inconvenient and there is no refrigerator/minibar.
“Wonderfully decorated rooms with a modern touch - no "surprises". Great night sleep due to the extra comfortable beds. Perfect for LAX business travelers, although the business center is not always open. Parking for fee is a bit of a hike.”

- Elevators out of order, no fridge in room, airplane noise.
“I will never stay at the Sheraton Gateway again. This hotel was terrible. Self-parking was $13/day and a block away, which meant hauling luggage to the main entrance or you could pay $24/day for valet plus tip. This place is soulless, absolutely void of personality, character, and ambiance. Our room felt like a holding cell, good enough for a business person staying over one night, certainly not meant to feel hospitable, comfortable, homey, etc. On top of that, this particular Sheraton is outdated, internet via cat5 instead of wireless; no fridge; 2 of 5 elevators working for like 18 floors; room service food littering the hallways, how long does it take to pick that stuff up? Needless to say, this hotel did not meet my expectations for a 4 star hotel. Stay at the Hyatt instead you won't regret it.”

- Shula's was a wonderful restaurant.
- Had to share a King bed with my Mom- no other rooms available.
“Forgot my toothbrush and they brought me toothpaste and two toothbrushes. Very nice. The bed was comfortable but as I was traveling with my mother, it would've been preferred to have separate beds. Shula's (restaurant on site) was delicious.”

- The gym and pool areas were very nice.
- The room cleanliness was fair at best, there were stains on the carpet, and the bathroom was just ok.
“The location is great to leave from LAX. The staff was wonderful and the amenities were great. The rooms do not reflect the star rating. Worth a 3 star at best. I stayed at The Pasadena Hilton the following night (4 stars) and there was a night and day difference between the room. We could smell the smoking for other floors through the bathroom air ventilators.”

- The overall facility was nice and comfortable and the rooms were as expected.

- Exactly what one would expect from a star wood property. A comfortable nice experience.
- I can't think of anything.
“We stayed at 3 hotels on our trip. A 5 star in Aspen, a 3 star in Denver, and this Sheraton property. We were as comfortable in this room as our pushy 5 star hotel room in Aspen (minus a few amenities), and grateful to be here after a horrible stay at a Radisson in Denver. I would recommend this hotel, more for business travelers, couples, but not necessarily families. A nice experience, the staff was especially professional & courteous!”

- No breakfast.
“The staffing at the hotel was quick and efficient. The hotel was very clean. The bed and bedding were wonderful. The decor in the room was very pleasant and updated. They have a small star bucks for early travelers but no breakfast. It seems a hotel of this caliber would do well do at least have a cont. Breakfast for customers catching early flights. I did not even see a restaurant? But I slept well, and that was what I was there for. Thank you.”

- Food is good, but fairly pricey.
“We stayed overnight at the Sheraton before flying out the next morning to Hawaii. The location near the airport was very convenient with frequent shuttle service. The accommodations are extremely clean and well-maintained. Security is very good (you have to use your key card to go up the elevator). The room was large and comfortable. Lobby, bars and restaurants are stunning. Excellent place to stay.”

- You can hear flights landing and taking off. No frig in the room.
“The hotel and room is good. However, as an airport hotel, you need to take hotel airport shuttle and 40 minute ($3) flyaway bus to connect to other public transportation or find some places to eat. No frig in the room is a little disappointed.”

- Close to airport, beach. Very nice for price!
- Parking was expensive.
“The only thing I did not like was that my hotel room bathtub was in need of a fresh painting. Had several areas where the paint had peeled/chipped off. Other than that, the room was very clean; hotel staff appearance was very professional. The hotel was nice and quiet, with a nice pool area and sufficient workout area.”

- The whole room had 2 drawers for storage.

- Location to airport.
- Bathrooms were unacceptable - black mold on shower tiles.
“His hotel is the super convenient because it is so close to the airport. In general the hotel is dark and gloomy, needs refurbishing. The bathroom shower tiles had black mold and the grout on the floor tiles looked stained and unclean. The bathroom sink was cracked.”
