“Perhaps isolated issues during our stay at the Sheraton, nonetheless annoying after a busy travel schedule. The toilet flush mechanism was broken in one of our bathrooms; air conditioner unit in both rooms percolated loudly and squeaked whenever the system turned on (evidentially "major work was done" on the climate control unit that day). The swipe card key system was undependable, preventing us from room access and forcing the front desk to assist us twice with entry. The child's breakfast buffet is somewhat overpriced, unless you're feeding a hefty kid. No redemption with the black lacquered furniture and decor. The modern, Asian sequel look ensures a cold, temporary stay feel. Not a family friendly hotel, which is not uncommon for hotels with a built in club scene. Expect inconsiderate, and loud club goers to forget they're might be guest who actually intend to relax and sleep! The only convenience the Sheraton provides is its locale to lax.” Sep 14, 2007 by
Cava from Davis, CA
“Nice hotel staff. The restaurant has a bad case of bar flies; as in the real flying bugs: Gross. Also, they charge .75 cents for the paper and make guest call to refuse the charge: Tacky. If you want to use the internet to print your boarding pass or get directions, you have to pay by the minute. But they don't tell you that: you get the "business" and discover that you must go back to your room to get a credit card. They won't charge it to your bill. But still, in this day how tacky cheap can a 3 star be? The woman in the business center is really snobby and rude to boot. They have no shuttle to rental cars, you have to take a cab or walk. And, they pack their hotel guest shuttle with people who use a parking lot near the hotel but are not staying at the hotel. Huh? Guest gets crammed in and parking lot people get a free ride? I would not stay here willingly again.” Sep 9, 2007 by
Hannah from Houston, TX
“Definitely need parking. It was a struggle every night to find a parking place on the street. After paying for the hotel we were not paying extra for parking, that's ridiculous!” Sep 7, 2007 by
Claudia from San Francisco, CA
“The front desk staff was very nice and did not even question us when we arrived 3 hours prior to the standard check in time. The room was very modern and nicely furnished. The bed was very comfortable. The location is central and the valet service made getting in and out of the hotel very convenient.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Ann from Culver City, CA
“We enjoyed almost everything that the hotel offered. They gave us great service. The only negative was that the drains were slow.” Sep 5, 2007 by
Aric from Santa Ana, CA
“It is more like a 3 star hotel. It's still nice, but I would not classify this as a deluxe hotel.” Sep 4, 2007 by
Kuok from Santa Clara, CA
“Parking costs $24.20 a day, or very limited spaces for self parking a long walk away for$13.20. The elevators took forever to reach though there was hardly anyone using them. The tub did not drain properly, and everything looked old and needing a major repair/upgrade. It is definitely not a 4-star hotel, 3-star at best. I see why they had a good size room during Labor Day weekend - they are just not worth 4-star money!” Aug 31, 2007 by
Jay from Brookline, MA
“Great location. Easy to get to airport and rental car companies. Pool area is clean and well kept up. Great to have a Starbucks in the lobby. However, the room I stayed in should have been renovated long ago. The tub was missing its' finish in multiple areas. The hot water sink handle was broken and only the stem remained. The desk chair was covered in dried ink. The windows in the room and at the end of the hall were covered in grime and difficult to see out.” Aug 29, 2007 by
Larry from Clinton, CT
“Perfect location for business in the LA area. Easy access to everything from restaurants to sporting events and business locations. I would stay here again.” Aug 29, 2007 by
Nedra from Oakland, CA
“I had a very pleasant stay. My late night room service was excellent. I love French onion soup, it was so tasty. The waiter was efficient and quiet. My suite was grand but I wish the bedroom area was a little more secluded, ex divided. I will certainly return to the Sheraton.” Aug 28, 2007 by
Kent from Auburn, CA
“Convenient location, clean, courteous staff, and quality rooms. I would stay here again.” Aug 26, 2007 by
Patrick from Longmont, CO
“This hotel has all the amenities of a 4-star resort, at a very good price. Terrific pool area; nice lounge/bar area; and a general top-shelf feel to the entire hotel. Although it is located next to the airport, noise was unnoticeable. The only concern is for travelers with an automobile, valet parking is expensive and the self-parking area is a block away from the hotel.” Aug 25, 2007 by
Deedee from Cleveland, OH
“We only stayed overnight to catch an early morning flight. Our room was nice and clean. The front desk staff and concierge were great. The concierge even called a restaurant away from the hotel to make sure they were open and gave us several options when we wanted dinner after 10pm. This alone made our stay great. We checked in and out with no delay. We didn't get to use any of the facilities - we flew 10 hours and then had to turn around and fly 5 more. Our room was ready early and we slept until late, the concierge helped two tired, jetlagged people find a great meal, just a short taxi ride away. He went above and beyond, we called him from our room and he made arraignments for us over the phone. When we went to the lobby to thank him, he was swamped with people. We couldn't believe he had taken so much time to help us. We hope we tipped him enough. He was awesome! And dinner at McCormick and Shmick's was great. The Sheraton LAX is really a business hotel or Id like to be close to the airport for an early flight hotel. The free shuttle was wonderful too.” Aug 24, 2007 by
Mark from Ft. Lauderdale, FL
“This stay the room was not as clean as in the past. They need to update rooms.” Aug 24, 2007 by
James from Denton, TX
“For a 4 star it was not what we were expecting. Lobby and room were dirty with lost of dust build up. The tub did not drain and we both had to take a shower standing in water. Worst of all when we arrived it was pretty late and we figured we would ask for an upgrade just to see if we could and the guy working the front desk said, No.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Angel from San Jose, CA
“The room was great. It was updated in decor and beddings. Bed was comfortable. The bath tub was a turn off.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Tom from Rome, GA
“Hotel was great for our needs since we were there only 2 days waiting on a flight to Guam.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Danee from Los Angeles, CA
“Very nice hotel, except when you order delivery other than room service you have to go to lobby for pick up.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Jennifer from Cleveland, OH
“I checked in around noon, and the person at reception told me there were no non-smoking rooms since I had booked, but for $30/night more I could get one on an "exclusive level" of the hotel. Someone on an airline crew behind me offered to take the smoking room because they wanted it but the hotel refused to do it. I don't believe for a minute that they only had smoking rooms available that early in the day, and the way they were dismissive to the airline crew person proved it to me. It was all the person behind the counter could do to keep the "yes, Im lying but what are you going to do about it" grin off of his face.” Aug 23, 2007 by
Christina from San Francisco, CA
“I did not like this labeled 3 star hotel. I'm sticking to luxury Westin hotels in the future.” Aug 22, 2007 by
Cheri from Moreno Valley, CA
“Clean room, friendly staff, and overall pleasure!” Aug 22, 2007 by
Floyd from Bayville, NJ
“For our purposes it was adequate but hardly a 4-star hotel.” Aug 22, 2007 by
Don from Las Vegas, NV
“Very nice restaurants, great pool settings, and excellent rooms.” Aug 20, 2007 by
Robin from Dallas, TX
“It was not a 4 star hotel. I would not even give it 1 star.1. Hotel staffs were snippy.2. Room was shabby.3. Sink leaked.4. Tub cracked.5. No shampoo.6. Lights burned out.7. Noisy all night long.8. A/C was noisy. Hotel was empty. That may say something about why people don't stay there. This was not a good value for the money.” Aug 18, 2007 by
Ben from Chandler, AZ
“This is absolutely not a 4-star hotel. This should be rated as a 3-star hotel. The hotel restaurant food is overpriced for the quality. The location in relation to traffic and other businesses such as restaurants is awful. The parking fees for the location are utterly ridiculous. The room's bathroom needed immediate attention as the paint was peeling off the tub and walls. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and efficient and extremely helpful in locating restaurants and other destinations.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Michael from Scottsdale, AZ
“I use to travel all the time (within the US) and have stayed at comparable hotels; this one was by far one of the best, simply because of the amenities (Hotel restaurants and the Starbucks store in the lobby. The showers water pressure was low, and the beds were a little firmer then I would expect, but with no doubt with the price I paid, I would stay there again no questions asked.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Tony from Louisville, KY
“Very comfortable room and great facilities.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Travis from Colton, CA
“The LAX Sheraton is an upscale hotel with the expected conveniences. It has 24 hour room service, concierge, pool, fitness center, restaurant, and more. The friendly staff is used to servicing a diverse international clientele. The price was more than right!” Aug 16, 2007 by
Hilary from Lodi, CA
“The hotel was nice. No airport noise even though I saw planes flying by my window all night (not a problem though I enjoyed watching the planes just closed the curtains when I was going to sleep). The parking is stupid 2 per night then they wanted a tip on top of that yeah right.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Felicia from Washington, DC
“I had to get another room because the first one smelled like dog urine and the second had a leak in the bathroom. It took 3 calls to get it taken care of, however once those things were handled, my overall stay was good. We enjoyed the pool and had a great view of the city and incoming plains.” Aug 16, 2007 by
Yannis from Menlo Park, CA
“Stayed at this hotel in august 2007, very good surprise about the quality of the room, extremely comfortable and spacious, zero noise despite the airport being very close, I did 4 or 5 hotels near LAX, this one was the most comfortable. However wireless is not free compare to other hotels around.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Kate from Los Angeles, CA
“Nice hotel, quite, I would recommend it to my friends who want to relax after traveling.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Dannette from Torrance, CA
“Extremely helpful staff. Clean and comfortable bed / room. Super fast room service. I loved it.” Aug 14, 2007 by
Taejun from Denton, TX
“Good!” Aug 14, 2007 by
Paula from San Marcos, CA
“This hotel was completely disappointing. Only valet parking for an additional $25/day, bad air conditioning, no water pressure, water stain in hall, Jacuzzi was yellowish green and unusable, no place for snack except room service, no fridge in room, and pool was cold. No way is this a 4-star hotel.” Aug 3, 2007 by
Kenneth from Apo, CA
“Decent hotel for business travelers but was not a four star hotel.” Aug 3, 2007 by
Sofia from Roswell, GA
“It is the worst hotel to stay I have had. I would not recommend to anyone. From the front desk, concierge and room service staff is rude and make you feel unwelcome. The hotel is not good for business travelers due to lack of internet service. The hotel appearance dark, dingy and dirty. All in all, this is not a 4 star hotel more like a 2.5 star. I would never stay there again.” Aug 3, 2007 by
Ron from Sherman Oaks, CA
“The valet parking attendants were very helpful. The overall hotel experience was definitely an excellent experience.” Aug 2, 2007 by
Vanessa from Miami, FL
“When I confirmed my reservation on the day of arrival I was told that we were in a smoking room and that there were no other rooms. When we arrived, we were moved to a non-smoking room in the club level, at no extra charge. We were very satisfied with the service provided.” Aug 2, 2007 by
Terri from San Rafael, CA
“Front hostess told us there were no double bed rooms available. We called the next day to ask and there were rooms with doubles available. They wanted our extra fee instead.” Aug 2, 2007 by
Bob from Washington, DC
“The hotel was perfectly adequate and quite convenient to LAX (particularly with the complimentary shuttle), but given the 1970s era motel bathrooms, was not a 4-star property.” Aug 2, 2007 by
Becky from Verona, WI
“I loved this place, except for the parking. We should have returned our rental car and then gone to hotel & used the shuttle service (don't know how that operated since we didn't use it) The hotel was clean and very quiet, considering how close it is to airport.” Aug 1, 2007 by
Aamir from Rochester, MN
“When I arrived, the room was messy, smelly, and had no soap/shampoo. I tried to get on the internet, and it didn't work. I had to get switched to another room, which was even worse. To top it off, they charged me for valet parking even though I never used it. They refused to take it off the bill.” Aug 1, 2007 by
Frank from Omaha, NE
“I wanted a non-smoking room. I was offered an upgrade for $30 which would then make a non-smoking room available. I couldn't help but feel a bait-and-switch was what happened. The room ended up then being more expensive than I would've hoped for. The hospitality area on the 14th floor was quite nice; fresh fruit, etc. But not worth $30 more.” Aug 1, 2007 by
Ernest from Elk Grove, CA
“Star rating appears inflated. Hallways were littered and room service dining utensils were not always promptly cleared. Bath area showed excessive ware without intervention of hotel maintenance crews. Had I paid the prevalent rate, I would have been highly annoyed.” Aug 1, 2007 by
Elizabeth from Gurnee, IL
“The room was very comfortable and large. We enjoyed our stay very much. Room service was excellent. I was not informed, however, of the charge for valet service of my rental car until I checked out. That would be my only complaint.” Aug 1, 2007 by
Penny from Jefferson City, MO
“Could not have been happier with the room, the service or the amenities. It was top notch all the way!” Jul 31, 2007 by
Maureen from Thousand Oaks, CA
“Right next to Lax. Very comfortable room with nice modern decor.” Jul 31, 2007 by
Gyurng from San Diego, CA
“Very nice and comfortable hotel.” Jul 31, 2007 by
