“Did not like the self parking area which was also used for airport parking. Too far away for after dark return to the airport. Housekeeping did not come to my room until after 3:30 pm. When I asked them to come back in 30 minutes they never did.”

- On my trip I stayed in 4 hotels - this was best priced and just over all best hotel. Thank you.
- Nothing bad to say - everything and everyone was wonderful.

- The beds and pillows were really nice.
- The TV sets are horrible, I've had better in 2.5star hotels.
“Great hotel if you are aren't planning on using the room for relaxing and enjoying a movie/TV at night. Other than the horrible 10y/o television. The room was great and the wireless signal for the internet was top notch (I know the company that installed the wireless, so that opinion is bias, but true).”

- The lobby area and restaurant were too cold, needed to turn up the temp!
“We stayed at this hotel only because of a forced overnight due to airline schedules on our way home from Mexico. It was very nice and the restaurant was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the convenience to LAX..”

- Hotel was very nice, loved the decor, coffee shop, sports bar.
- There was no parking for our daughter to park her car picking us up, always had to pay 2.75 for 20 minute, also a microwave and small fridge would have been an advantage.
“We enjoyed our short stay, food was expensive but always very good. Room was very nice. A few more amenities would have been nice. I loved the view of the city. Decor was very nice. A very friendly atmosphere.”

- The room was very comfortable, it was a great location and for the most part the service was great.
- The bathtub was slow-draining. Though it was non-smoking, someone had smoked in the room which then smelled of smoke and the towels smelled too.
“The service at the bar wasn't so great, the food and drinks were way overpriced and the quality wasn't so great. I definitely wouldn't suggest eating there. The bellboys were great, they even helped my husband to tie his tie.”

- Bad location except for airport, parking is a rip off, staff was not very friendly and a bit disorganized!

- Room was small, bathtub did not drain, staff was not friendly, and parking was a rip off, only close to the airport and nothing else, not 4 stars.

“The Hotel was definitely upscale with an appealing decor and friendly and helpful front desk and concierge. The room was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable although without a microwave or fridge. The hotel was busy with lots of large groups but the rooms still were quiet. The biggest drawback was the parking. Valet parking was expensive. Self park, while slightly less expensive, was a bit of a walk.”

“Room was clean and convenient to LAX. However, not good for leisure travelers. Hotel staff informed me parking was 11-- in actuality it was 13.20. Annoying to get wrong information. Hotel is more of a three star then a four star. No mini fridge in room. Noise from the hallway travels through into the room waking me up at 3 a.m., then 4 a.m. etc. Bed is also lumpy.”

“Overall, the hotel met our needs. The room was very spacious, clean, and upscale. The bed/linens/pillows were very comfortable. The desk was big and spacious, and there was a couch for extra seating room. The only downfalls we encountered were: 1) when we called the hotel to confirm our reservation the day of our arrival to ask for double beds, the front desk told us they could not tell us until we arrived if there were any available. We were lucky, however, that they did honor our request upon arrival. However, once we arrived, the hotel staff was extremely nice and honored everything we asked. The other downfall to this hotel is parking. If you don't valet, then you have to park pretty far (in the back of the hotel, it is literally airport parking). My toddler loved looking at the planes that arrived at the runway. Yes, we forgot to mention that we had a pretty high floor and great view of all the planes going by.”

- Very accommodating in every aspect of our personal needs. Shuttle service great and staff able to direct you to things to do in the area.
- Bathroom was not as nice as I would have liked. Showers/bathtub is old need updated.
“All staff was professional and friendly. They were very accommodating for all of our personal requests. All of our flights were changed and we needed to extend our stay for a late check out. Rates were reasonable for this request. Rooms were nice and clean; bathroom was small and could be updated. However they were functional. We would stay at this facility again.”

- The bathroom was bigger than the Hilton down the street. The decor is nice as well.
- Housekeeping did not bring towels when requested and front desk did not answer phone to request checkout extension.
“The hotel honored my request for two beds, which they did not have to do, especially since they were totally booked on the night we checked in. The hotel is a better value than the Hilton down the street for travelers sharing a room and not a bed, as the beds are Queen size at the Sheraton rather than a double at the Hilton. The bathrooms were bigger as well. The hotel was pretty clean and the pool area was very nicely done as well.”

- It was close to the airport, the bed was comfortable.
- There is no place to eat near here, hated the parking 1 block away.
“This is not 4 star. We had to change rooms due to a very loud ac unit, but merely at reception were very accommodating with that. There was mildew in the tile grout in bath area. The room was very small. We had to either valet park or park over 1 block away and across the street in an outdoor lot, too far from the hotel. There is no food nearby the hotel, and the hotel breakfast was not great, but the price was $17.00, which was too high. The lobby is nicely decorated but it was very cold and windy (felt like outside.) All and all, I have stayed at much nicer 4 star hotels here in new Orleans.”

“This upscale hotel is convenient to LAX as well as the freeway system. The bar, although pricey, was cozy and intimate. Very good place to stay. Would definitely recommend.”

- When we arrived there, the bathtub facet was leaking. We reported it and it was fixed promptly.
- Hotel self parking was inconvenient and far away.
“We loved our stay at the Sheraton. It was quite convenient to the training meeting that we attended and the staff was friendly and professional. The rooms were extremely clean although we were very close to the airport. The room was very quiet.”

- Great food in restaurant and bar, nice service off stuff.
- The internet does not work in many rooms, the bathrooms are very much like in a cheap motel and in 2 rooms from the 5.
“If you stay in the lower floors the rooms are not so clean. The minute I was moved to a suite by the Hotel Manger everything was prefect. With that there is a door between one suit to the other and the noise is very much a problem, especially when airlines crew members are checking-in all night and early mornings and you hear every word from the other room.”

- Walls are paper thin.
“Great hotel to stay at if you are staying for a short period of time. Try to recommend a room with no neighbors beside you because I woke up to someone else's alarm. Staff was great and helpful although if you look young, they brush you off.”

- Good value.
- Poor and expensive parking.
“The Sheraton Gateway is a top notch hotel that caters to the business traveler. There were a few children, but they seemed out of place, except on the weekends. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms and facilities what I expected. The down side is parking, which is expensive at about $13/day and not convenient. The exit procedure is lengthy if you have in/out privileges and should be modernized.”

- The room was large and had a great view of the LAX runways. Watching the planes is like meditating over a fish tank, a mellow ballet of movement.
“The room was large and had mostly modern decor, but a funky table and armchair looked outdated. A tiny bit more attention to making the room feel extraordinary and special would be necessary for me to consider this a four star, especially in Los Angeles.”
