  • Everything appeared to be top quality; Christmas decorations were being put up and they were gorgeous.
  • Parking is expensive--also long $$$ cab ride to LAX.

“Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The room was exceptionally nice, staff did a great job, location was excellent, the workout room is unsurpassed, the pool is huge (did not use), and basically it lives up to expectations for a hotel in Beverly Hills.”

“The hotel has 2 wings: a deluxe wing (Wilshire Tower) and the older wing where they put pay in advance guests. The room is ok but the bathroom is tiny, the smallest bathroom I have ever had at a hotel. For the price I paid, it was fine but don't thing you are getting a luxurious room.”

  • Nice bathrobes in room.
  • Room was small and cramped. Timeliness of service requests was in excess of 45 minutes and unacceptable- multiple calls made

“Rooms were small and cramped. Paint was peeling in places in bathroom and walls were banged up from where furniture had hit them and not been repaired in bedroom. A/c was extremely noisy.”

  • The rooms had been attractively upgraded.

“We were delighted with the quality of the room for the price. But as far as customer service was concerned, every minor request - can we get a corkscrew, can we get a late checkout, can we get a queen or king bed - were met with a smug, determined, No. So from that point of view the hotel was very disappointing - it felt like a 3 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star, not in order to provide better service, but the better to gouge guests for every extra penny. A nice room, in other words, in a horrible clip joint.”

  • Parking in the self-park garage was expensive.

“Fantastic, romantic and cool spot for adults of any age. Tons of history, glamour and a great location make this a very fun place to stay. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly, the amenities were first-rate and you feel like a VIP when you're there!”

  • I used to live by there and I liked the familiarity of the area. The staff was excellent, and my massage was wonderful.
  • There was a lot of black mold in the shower on ceiling and grout.

  • Excellent staff. The front desk clerk gave us a rollaway bed free for charge. ice cold bottles of water were distributed all over the hotel.
  • A room with 2 beds was not available, despite my request.

“Excellent hotel recently renovated. Rooms were small but beautifully decorated with first class amenities (Occitan shampoos, etc). Staff was lovely and very responsive. ”

  • The front desk staff was not welcoming and rather rude.

“Very nice hotel from the inside. The outside is very classic and dates back to the original opening of the hotel. The room lobby decor and room was very classy. The front desk staff are not professional and are rather rude on the phone and in person. They always made comments about my booking not directly with them. Called for 10 minutes to have bags brought down to car, no answer at front desk or bell desk. Then they charged my credit card after I left the hotel for the mini bar, which we did not use.”

“The hotel is nice, huge heated pool. we had one complaint and they gave us free breakfast to make the issue right. the only complaint I have is that they charged me 7 dollars to print four pages off the internet.”

  • Poorly maintained, dirty room, noisy AC, lackadaisical staff, overpriced drinks/snacks poolside

“The location was excellent and the poolside service was quite good, but the remainder was nowhere close to what I expected for a 4-star hotel. Outside the pool area service was lazy and surly, the AC roared and blasted straight onto the bed, the Sunday paper was thrown at my door and scored a hit at 4 am, and I felt nickeled and dimed in a very overpriced fashion. Parking was the most expensive around at $22, but at least I had in/out privileges.”

  • When running a blow dryer, the electricity was cut. I would expect that a hotel like this one could handle this output.

  • Great location, friendly and helpful staff, good sized rooms, 42" plasma TV.
  • Daily parking fee.

“This was a great place to stay. Rooms are a good size, and very clean with nice touches (L'Occitine products, thick bath towels, etc.). We traveled with older children and they enjoyed the Olympic size pool and the friendliness of the staff. The location of this hotel is fantastic; 30 minutes. to LAX, 20 minutes. to Santa Monica, 5 minutes. to Rodeo Drive. I would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend this hotel to those visiting Los Angeles.”

“We had a great experience at this hotel. I would recommend requesting a room in the main tower as they are nicer than the rooms on the side wings. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and did not treat you any different than those paying full price. The rooms were spacious and very clean with some nice little touches (L'Occitane products). The location is fantastic; 5 minutes. from Rodeo Drive, 20 minutes. to Santa Monica, 30 minutes. to LAX. I highly recommend this hotel .”

“Hotel staff were great--friendly and courteous -- particularly the gentlemen valeting my car. if I wished a cup of coffee, I didn't want to pay that much for one cup brought to the room so would have appreciated not so long a wait at the coffee bar in the lobby -- it was about half an hour at least.”

  • The location was perfect. It is only a few short blocks away from the wealthiest shopping areas in North America.
  • Our room was at the end of a long hall. It was far from the elevator. This was the only thing I could complain about.

“We were given a room with no balcony area what so ever. It was the last room at the end of the hall and the outside sitting area was 3/4 closed in by a wall. Room location was horrible!!! Have pic to send if needed. Very old room and bathroom was old and outdated. Tried to change to a room with a balcony but was told we weren't allowed (the balcony rooms were standard rooms, just newer). I was very upset by the room and quality of a so called 4 star hotel. My room was barely a 2 star. You should have seen the wall blocking our room in. It was obvious we were given the WORST room! Like I said above, I have pic to show the terrible room. ”

  • We only paid forty dollars more for an upgrade to a Cabana room by the pool.
  • There was some construction. When this is done they will have a bar & restaurant pool side.

“I brought my wife & teenage sons and we stayed in a cabana room by the pool. Each room has a 42" plasma TV hanging on the wall and a 14" TV in the bathroom. We all loved it and agreed we definitely are going back.”

  • They treat you a little different when they know you got your tickets discounted.

“The stay was excellent, but when I initially checked in the room they assigned me wasn't totally clean so they upgraded me to a very nice room, the service in that area of the hotel was a lot better for some reason (I think because the room rates). The staff was very helpful from the valet, doorman, house cleaning pool attendants. I surely give it four stars. ”

  • Beautiful renovated rooms; friendly, helpful staff.
  • Self-parking is $22 a day and there are no other options.

“The hotel is in a prime location, close to downtown Beverly Hills and Century City. The public areas, including the pool area, are well-maintained and attractive. The hallways are decorated with black and white photos of movie stars from the '50's. The renovated rooms are sleek, modern and comfortable, with fine quality bedding and very comfortable beds, yet the exterior of the hotel maintains a '50's look which we found charming. The staff is exceptionally accommodating We love this hotel!”

“Perhaps because it was the newly remodeled Beverly Hilton, I expected a 5 star experience. The room was very small, wall texture and paint were more worthy of an older campy beach motel, "brand new" furniture was broken and poor quality, bathrooms average at best (and toilet ran). The plasma TV was very nice and a great added touch. The bed was very comfortable. ”

  • The only available rooms were for 2 double beds, so not compatible for traveling couples.

  • Perfect location & beautiful.
  • Not a hotel for young children. Not cheap to stay there!

“We had a late check in and they had everything set up for us. The parking is $22 a day but it's to be expected. This is an older hotel but very modern in the room and very well maintained. The hotel is great for couples or business people but really not for families. However, this place is in the middle of it all and the location can't be beat. There is a gas station a block away for things you might need.”
