• The room was quiet and comfortable. Starbucks is open inside the lobby for service early in the AM.
• Parking is expensive.

• Walking to/from the self parking is awkward.

“Somewhat lacking in charm but overall a nice place to stay. West-facing balconies get odors from exhaust fans from kitchens below, but I have very sensitive nose, so that might not bother most people. Also, there was a fair amount of banging and crashing from the loading docks during the early morning hours too (we had our sliding door open to get some fresh air).”

• The location is perfect if you have business in Century City.
• Lots of road noise from Ave of the Stars.

“I love this hotel, but if you stay here make sure you request a room overlooking the pool. The lower level rooms in the middle of the floor overlooking the road are very noisy.”

• The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were really nice and crisp.
• Having to pay to use the fitness center is a reason not to stay again.

“The staff was very friendly, rooms clean, bed comfortable. Outdoor seating area was very nice. We were very dissatisfied, however, that the fitness center was not open to guests for free, and there was nowhere to get breakfast outside of the hotel, so we were forced to either get Starbucks or pay 14 dollars for a side of eggs at the hotel restaurant.”

• The parking was too expensive.

“Beautiful hotel, centrally located, but parking was inconvenient and expensive. The valet was $33 and the self parking was $24 with no in and out so you are forced to valet if you want to leave the hotel.”

• Spacious room, ocean visible in the distance, and safe neighborhood.
• Immediate neighborhood was a bit sterile, valet parking (practically mandatory) inflates bill.

“Nicely appointed, large modern hotel in convenient, if unremarkable neighborhood. Rooms are spacious and, like common areas, pleasantly decorated.”

• Great location near Beverly Hills, great views off of balcony of downtown L.A.
• Some missing amenities, such as complimentary robes. Ridiculous parking rates.

“Nicely updated hotel. Not top tier, but nonetheless a very good . Location is quite good (not quite in the heart of the action, but close enough) and a short walk from Beverly Hills. The balconies are well done (although hardly extravagant) with very nice views on the one side of the hotel. Parking prices are brutal $33, but it's a big city, so one must expect this.”

• The location was great, could walk to many things.
• The food prices were very high.

“This hotel was in a great location, we could walk to several restaurants for dinner, it was also centrally located to do tourist things via driving. The decor of the hotel and rooms was beautiful. The prices in the hotel restaurants was very high, breakfast buffet $27, room service turkey burger with soda - $30.”

“This hotel is well-located near Beverly Hills and has good quality common areas. However, the beds and bedding are subpar for a hotel of this caliber. I have stayed here before and had the same experience with the beds.”

• Beautifully redecorated rooms and lobby. Great staff!
• Very high parking fees.

“This is a very nice hotel within walking distance of Beverly Hills, close to a nice mall. It's been recently remodelled. The staff was great. Very unpretentious despite the hotel's fancy location. We had a great time at the Hyatt Century Paza.”

• The beauty, balcony looking at the pool and couch area outside the bar.
• Only one choice inside for eating a full meal.

“This was an upscale hotel across the street from an upscale mall. The food court had places like Lawry's Prime Rib. The hotel itself was lovely and you truly felt you had been uptown to celebrate the occassion we were there for. The staff was lovely and the room beautiful with a balcony we enjoyed very much.”

• Century City is not hip and there are a lot of foreign group tourists there.

• Friendly and willing to help staff, fun and elegant, close to shopping.

“Great experience! We traveled from central California so my teenage son could attend a concert in West Hollywood. We were close to Santa Monica Beach, which was beautiful, Beverly Hills was we went shopping and, Hollywood was we experienced all the little eclectic people, shops, and restaurants. It was great! Not to mention there was a wonderful shopping mall, Movie Theater, and restaurants right around the corner from our Hotel.”

• Clean well appointed rooms with courteous staff.
• Wireless Internet not complimentary and is $10/day fee.

“A good business class hotel with a few warts. Overall the hotel is excellent but to find out that Internet access was a $10 daily additional cost and that even an in room coffee maker is not provided (unless requested) and when it is requested then the coffee supplies are not replenished daily unless specifically requested is unacceptable.”

• They did not have 2 queen beds only one king but they did offer a rollaway.

• Great pool, view, and next to great shopping mall. Don't miss the Brazilian restaurant in the outdoor mall!

“What a joy staying at the Century Plaza was. Everyone was wonderful to us. The concierge helped us secure a great tour of Beverly Hills mansions and the next morning we enjoyed a walk to Rodeo Drive for shopping. Walking distance to a wonderful outdoor mall. Don't miss the Brazilian Grill there. Great for business travelers but very fun for me and my 10 year old daughter to explore LA. Enjoy!”

• Very clean, modern and professional. The pool was very nice.
• Parking was not convenient and $20 a day with no in and out privileges.

“We enjoyed this hotel very much and the 4 stars were very fair. The parking charge of $20 a day was a negative since there were no in and out privileges and there were very few facilities nearby. There was a very nice mall across the street with a food court and 3 nice restaurants. There were no other activities within walking distance. The bar in the hotel was nice. The hotel restaurant looked nice but we did not use it. I would definitely stay there again but might be forced to spend $31 a night to valet park if needing to go in and out.”

• The rooms and public areas were amazing.
• Having to pay for parking and $20 to use the gym makes it more expensive.

“The Hyatt Century Plaza is truly a cut above other hotels. Many hotels have nice lobby areas, but this hotel extends that into the guestrooms. The rooms are nicely furnished in what is similar to a New York Loft. Very urban. There is a plasma/LCD TV in the room as well. The lighting is good. The grounds of the hotel are very impressive as well. Everything well manicured. The pool is impressive as is the gym and spa. Lemon infused chilled water for guests, need I say more. The only complaint that I would have is that as a guest you have to pay for parking (I believe it was over $30 bucks). Also, while the gym is superb, you shouldn't have to shell out $20 bucks to use it as a guest of the hotel. Maybe they should have a $5 bucks for 45 minutes for those of us that just want to use the elliptical and not all the other fancy services.”

• Modern, updated and very clean rooms. Spacious bathrooms.
• Pricy hotel parking ($31 dollars a day).

“Overall, my stay at the Hyatt Century City hotel was excellent. The exterior is a little deceiving as it appears somewhat plain. But the interior is impressive. The rooms are spacious and stylish, furnished with sleek modern furniture. Every room has a large balcony. The pool area was fantastic! It's definitely a place to relax and take in everything. The only downside is the parking. At $31 a day for the hotel valet, it hurts the wallet. There really isn't much of an option either as there is literally no street parking in the immediate vicinity. If you are willing to walk a few blocks to Santa Monica, you can park at some meter locations. Otherwise, you might want to try nearby mall parking lots.”

“Glamorous hotel after the remake. Great location in Los Angeles, close everything worth visiting- Beverly Hills, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Sunset Blvd, Santa Monica Blvd. The hotel is also close to the beaches as well as the Page and Getty Museums. The best thing though is the friendly staff- your sure to feel like a million bucks even if you don't happen to have it the bank.”
