• I loved that it was so close to the ocean and the beach, and shopping area.
• Didn't have Jacuzzi at the roof.

• He upgraded my room to a view with no extra charge.
• The $30 parking fee is not acceptable.

“I had trouble with the parking attendant. I asked if I could just keep my car in front for 1/2 or so and he said we will have to park it downstairs and did not tell me he would charge. I have left my car out front at almost every hotel and they have no problem with it. I found the parking situation very poor.”

“Dinner doesn't taste very good at all. The X Bar played loud music outdoors until 2am. Otherwise it's a very nice hotel and has a pool and Jacuzzi.”

• Valet worst in city, bathroom tub drain clogged with hair.

“Beautiful hotel and room. Pulled a wad of hair out of tub drain because it was clogged. Paid $31.00 for parking and waited 22 minutes for my car and 7 people in front of me got their car before me. Second day the Valet lost my car for 45 minutes and had to ask me what kind of car I drove. No apology no correction of problem.”

• The check-in check-out process is very easy as is the valet parking. The location is great for all upscale attractions.
• There are no robes, slippers or shower caps in the room and they don't take away the dirty towels every day unless you ask.

“Location. This hotel is across the street from the Westfield Century City Mall which is great for grabbing a meal, shopping for items you forgot to bring or seeing a movie in one of the best theatres in L.A. You are 5 minutes from Beverly Hills, 10 from West Hollywood and Melrose Ave and 15 from Culver City shops and galleries. All spa and exercise facilities of the Equinox Gym next door are available to hotel guests.”

• Great location, excellent decoration, best beds and pillows.
• Parking! Need Free wireless.

“Only there 1 night, but great stay. Loved the hotel, facilities. Two negatives: Was really hoping for free wireless. Biggest Negative: Parking! Two choices, valet or a garage. The garage was $20 for 24 hours (normal) We parked, went to hotel, checked in, swam. We went to leave 3 hours later for dinner, and we were still charged $20 for parking for only 3 hours! I am fine with paying $20 for a day, you should be able to leave and return without penalty.”

• Close to our children's home.
• Musty smell in room, 2 of 4 lamps didn't work, no luggage racks.

“The hotel is tastefully decorated, but there is a musty smell not only in our room but on the entire walk from the elevator. We had to keep the sliding glass door open for fresh air. They could benefit from less fancy and more practical such as providing luggage racks in the room. The common areas are beautiful, but if the room has a musty smell and 2 of 4 lamps don't work, what good is "beautiful"? We do a lot of traveling and stay at very lovely hotels. We were very disappointed. We left a comment card at the front desk.”

“It's an excellent business hotel with lovely decor, not perhaps the best choice for leisure, although the location makes it easy to hit the mall. The staff was wonderful, especially one person at check-in and check-out.”

• Renovation is top quality.
• Parking is over $30/night and the staff is rude.

“The Hyatt Century Plaza is a great hotel located in Century City (adjacent to Beverly Hills). Hyatt has renovated the rooms and installed the Grand Bed, which is super comfortable. Wireless internet access is available for $9.95 a day and is reliable.”

• It was very clean and fancy.
• The conceirge was not helpful in finding us a night tour of the city nor a restaurant.

“The hotel was very nice in many ways however the parking charge was excesive, there was no coffee pot in the room nor could we remove the snacks temporarily in order to put leftovers in the fridge.”

• Very spacious room, friendly and courteous staff.
• The food was too expensive, the least expensive breakfast was 18.00.

“The staff is wonderful. They anticipate your needs. Remodeling of the lobby looks top drawer and the outside bar areas are cozy. The rooms are equipped with a great desk to work at and the beds are comfortable. I just wish they would get rid of that stinky "wild ginger" soap. It reminds me of elementary school bathroom soap smell. The citrus variety was so much better!”

• The rooms and facilities are very clean and modern. The staff is very helpful and overall pet friendly is a plus!
• The gym is an additional $20.00 a day fee. It should be included in the basic hotel services for guests with the price that you pay.

“Overall, this is a wonderful hotel. The hotel is located in a very good location- not far from major attractions, great shopping and places to go. I was not happy with the fact that you have to pay extra for gym access, that should be included.”

“The hotel hardware is very good, room is spacious and have decent views. However, the service and amenities are not up to my expectation. I do not get the feeling of personable and TLC from their staff. There are no in-room cutlery, no slipper. I have asked for a pair but there was no response from housekeeping.”

“A very nice hotel but I found the meals to be ridiculously priced and much of the food to be mediocre. Breakfast especially was lousy. I have had better at the Waffle House. The rooms were well done, nicely decorated with a beautiful TV but the sat TV system was shoddy and the room had a constant smell like a mold or locker room. I should have asked to be moved the first night but I hoped it would go away. It did not.”

• Great location, screen directors Guilds Awards were held there during our stay, spa, nice breakfast.
• Pricey valet, small double beds, ceiling stains.

“There was a power outage upon arrival at the hotel, and our reservations were lost. It took quite some time to get settled into our room after being assigned a room that was already occupied. We were placed in a room with a view due to the inconvenience. The location was great. Near the mall and an AMC theatre, beautiful fountains and landscaping. Staff was pleasant, and the spa was most wonderful. The next night the front desk called and said that my credit card was declined, after panicking down to the front desk, that too was a result of the previous power outage, after haggling with the manager, he sent up a bottle of champagne. The beds were nice, but too small for two people, rooms were nicely decorated, but the carpets could stand a cleaning. They took a while getting us fresh towels, so we used the hand towels, and after more haggling and irritation received a complimentary breakfast. The valet fee for two days cost more then our rental car!”

• The staff, the views from the rooms, the interiors were fabulous.
• The lobby interior renovation activities spoiled the experience.

• Expensive parking. Valet only and very busy.

“My girlfriend and I visited for a romantic getaway for a night and the hotel met expectations: Friendly, helpful staff; great amenities; clean room. The hotel probably best services business travelers but it is adequate for all types of travelers.”

• I liked the great location near shopping and activities.
• The valet parking is expensive $31/day, would have been nice to have free wireless internet.

“My husband, son and daughter spent a night here while visiting friends in LA. The desk staff was friendly, but the reason I rated the overall staff performance lower was because the head valet parking attendant was extremely uptight and irritated because we parked in the front circle to drop off our luggage, and apparently, even though we were just there for a couple minutes, we bothered him. I understand he has to keep the flow going for valet parking, but I felt like I was at the airport and some security guard was busting my chops to get moving. I just thought he could have been lower key about it.”
