- Love the decor, bed, and atmosphere.
- Parking garage is a long walk, ottoman is a knee killer.
“I love this hotel and its location. I love to sit out on the patio and enjoy the sights and sounds of Ave of the Stars although it can get a little noisy at times. The only real downsides were that the valet was full, so you end up parking, for about the same price as valet, in a parking garage that is a good hike away from the hotel. Also, for some reason the power was out in my room from midnight to 4 am. I called the front desk and they said it was scheduled maintenance, funny, if it was scheduled, why didn't they tell me when I checked in?”

- I liked the location. Noise level is low, so complete quiet and privacy.
- No real character. In an industrial area, big buildings.
“I wish we were in an area a that wasn't so industrial. Seemed like a corporate park. There was a mall right next door and that was nice. Very, very close to Beverly Hills. Quite close to many attractions. Lots of people using the pool area. I'd stay again.”

“This hotel is great for people on business, or even leisure travelers, but a car is essential as it is some distance from most of the major attractions. The rooms are large and have great views from the lanai.”

- Redecorated rooms with flat panel TV & helpful staff.
- Very small vanity and bathroom, no coffeemaker or refrigerator without request.
“Very nice stay, although it took 30 minutes to get bags to the room. All rooms have patios. We had a view of Hollywood to Downtown. The rooms and public spaces had been recently renovated and looked beautiful. However there is no coffee maker in the room, or guest fridge for self storage, although they will bring up these items on request. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I wish internet was included, but that is par for Hyatt.”

“The Century Plaza was a wonderful find. The location was great, the lounge and patio bar were relaxing, the pool was wonderful and you can't beat the rooms with modern yet comfortable furnishings, a balcony, and the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed on in a hotel.”

“This will be a very special spot when the surrounding construction is done, but for now you have to endure jack hammering and truck noises. Plus, the gym/spa is separate, so you have to pay extra, even if you just want to take a sauna or steam.”

- Our room was over a bar that had screaming people and music way too late into the evening. Worst night's sleep ever!
“Hotel was great but our room was over a very noisy bar. Hotel did offer to move us but at 1 AM I thought it was too much trouble. Now I wish I would have moved because the noise did not stop until after 3 AM. Then cleaning began about 7 AM so this was a bad nights sleep. If you go, do not let them put you overlooking any of the pools areas.”

- Valet parking was $31 dollars. No choice.
“Overall, the Hyatt was great. We feel very happy to have stayed at this hotel as it was beautiful and had a great location. At the end of each day we looked forward to our room. The king bed was so comfortable; we could have slept all day. The bathroom was comfortable in size and feel. Friends and family were staying all over L.A. and after hearing about their hotels, we knew we made the right choice.”

- The staff was dressed well and were very polite/professional. The public spaces were beautiful and the location of amenities were clearly labeled.
- Construction next door made lunch on the patio very noisy.
“They accommodated our special requests included my fiance's request to cover our room in rose petals (arranged in conjunction with the local florist). The rooms were beautiful as were the public spaces. Everyone was SO nice. The valet was quick when we requested the car. The food at Breezes was great. I would stay here again.”

- View from the 19th floor was stunning.
- Parking cost $30 a day!
“Aside from the parking fee, the hotel was very nice. I had no problem getting a room with two double beds (we were traveling with our two children). Traffic in this area is horrific! Allow a boatload of extra time even if you are only driving a mile or two. Your best bet, walk if you can.”

- The rooms were great and the lobby and additional store like Starbucks was great.
- The fitness center was not part of the hotel stay, and for $20.00 per day you could use.
“A four star hotel should have some sort of fitness area. Attached to the pool area was an independent health spa, that the hotels advertising as fitness center is available during your stay. I ended up running on the streets of Beverly Hills instead. Not a bad alternative, but you need to watch the traffic.”

“This was supposed to be a four star luxury hotel. I thought was very average compared to other non-luxury hotels I stayed at. The curtains were stained with food matter, which was disgusting. The large room was very sparse and seemed to be missing furniture. I did not like the idea of being charged full price for parking. There should be some sort of validation discount if you're staying at the hotel. The X-Bar overcharged me for my drinks. I had two drinks and ended up paying $30 for them when I checked out! Outrageous!”

- The staff made sure that we we're happy. They resolved a small issue we had quickly and exceeded our expectations.
- Parking was expensive but that's what you get in LA.
“This hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The staff was outstanding. With two toddlers, traveling can be challenging. However the staff made sure everything was taken care of. The first night they brought us free rollaway bed because they thought we might like an extra bed. Another evening they brought the kids cookies, chocolate dinosaurs, jellybeans and juice. The pools are perfect. There are three 1 foot pools and the large pool had stairs that the kids could play on at one end. There are wonderful (again free) cabanas that we spent a lot of time in when the kids weren't in the pool. We ordered lunch from the pool cafe and for poolside service the meals were very reasonable, especially the kids meals which were very large and less than $6. A great hotel!”

- The receptionist was very nice to give us connected rooms.
- Coffee maker in request. No refill the coffee powder for 3 days. No tea bags.
“The rooms were nice size with most things except coffee maker and space in refrigerator. The reservation for each room was 3 persons but they only supplied 2 wash towels. The Valet parking service was almost perfect except they could not find the key when we called before departure. We waited on the curbside and no one informed us until we asked. The receptionist of Valet parking finally found our key and put us in the last of the row. Luckily, one guy saw all what happening and took our key and gave us the car. He is kind of person knowing what quality service is.”

- Valet is very expensive and took about 25 minutes after calling from our room.
“The hotel was beautiful, well maintained and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating - it was odd that a coffeemaker wasn't in the room, but one was delivered immediately upon request. Valet service was slow due to volume, and quite expensive. Although self parking is available, it costs $20 each time you come and go. For my valet money, I expected faster service. We called from the room as we left for a dinner reservation. We were told "5 minutes". We waited outside for 20 minutes more which made us late for our reservation. Apart from that, the accommodations and hotel amenities are above average.”

- All of the employees were extremely courteous.
- The restaurants were way over priced and the service for breakfast was very poor.
“Overall the hotel was excellent except for the food and beverage services were way overpriced. I found all of your employees from management to bell hop was incredibly gracious. The restaurant in the morning was terrible; the waiter was very slow and ignorant. The service was excellent in the evening for dinner but well over priced. - From the TV, to the bed, to the view, and the lobby and grounds.
- Self park-$11 for 75 mins, valet @$30 better.
“This hotel is right off Santa Monica Blvd. Not too bad of a drive to UCLA/Westwood area, Mulholland Drive or Santa Monica. Really close to Melrose, Beverly Hills and West Hollywood locales. Service was right, room service breakfast-on the spot, view from 12th floor was grand, beds always a Hyatt plus, pool and outdoor areas relaxing and so nice. The Xbar, a weekend lo-key hidden hot spot, driving in under the canopy-special feeling each time. Would stay again def. Especially if the price was great like it was, great getaway from Vegas.”

- Good location, short drive to anything LA has to offer.
- Youre not likely to sleep long at this hotel, noisy Valet parking area with honking cabs outside.
“All in all this is an excellent hotel; we encountered some problems with disturbances (from the inside of the hotel). Staff manager handled it in an excellent manner, "immediate guest recovery" in an almost Disney- like -manner! Will recommend others staying here.”

- Brand new remodeling, classy interiors.
- No parking.

- The fixtures (faucets, countertops, doors, etc.) were awesome. Details make the difference.
- The bar seemed to be a really popular place on Saturday, so the lobby was loud and there was a line out the door to get into the bar downstairs.
“The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza spared no expense making the hotel luxurious. It's clean, beautiful, and I felt like I was a five-star guest. The staff was friendly and personable and I really felt taken care of. We asked a housekeeper in the hallway for mouthwash and then went to our meeting and came back about 25 minutes later to find it sitting on our counter. We really appreciated that (and so did the people we sat next to in our meeting!).”

- I loved that it was so close to the ocean and the beach, and shopping area.
- Didn't have Jacuzzi at the roof.

- Very clean and nice pool area.
- Bar was pricey.
“Overall a nice hotel. A bit far from downtown Hollywood, but on the border of Beverly Hills. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.”

- The pool area and lobby areas were very nice.
- Self Parking was not available.

- He upgraded my room to a view with no extra charge.
- The $30 parking fee is not acceptable.
“I had trouble with the parking attendant. I asked if I could just keep my car in front for 1/2 or so and he said we will have to park it downstairs and did not tell me he would charge. I have left my car out front at almost every hotel and they have no problem with it. I found the parking situation very poor.”
