“The staff is very nice. The hotel is large and clean. Nice to have a Starbuck's in the lobby. The elevators are very quick to respond.” May 15, 2008 by
John from Brookline, MA
“Weekend trip to LA to see a friend's son perform at UCLA. Had hoped to get a suite (separate BR from living area) but this worked out fine. The wait staff at the restaurant was excellent and so was the meal (though expensive). The outside pool area was fun, people lounging and playing without causing any trouble for anyone else. The adjacent road was under construction and the adjacent lot also has a high-rise going up. The street noise was a little bothersome (room was on the front side of the hotel, not the pool side). Valet parking was easy and prompt. Concierge was helpful in getting a few items mailed quickly for me. And the fact that Hertz has an on-site counter was helpful since we had a Hertz rental and needed some assistance.” May 15, 2008 by
Robyn from Memphis, TN
“The hotel was literally overtaken by an Amway convention which had the outside in chaos. However, once we figured out how to get in, the hotel expedited our check in. It was clean and comfortable but the location was not very desirable.” May 15, 2008 by
Christina from Yorba Linda, CA
“Pleasantly surprised. Fantastic staff! Accommodating. Friendly. Fantastic that it had the gym w/ an awesome yoga class! Clean, attractive hotel. I will frequent there again.” May 14, 2008 by
Judy from Napa, CA
“We only stayed one night, over Mother's Day weekend, but front desk upgraded our room and offered a late check out without us even asking. The location of the hotel was great and the guest rooms felt spacious. We had a wonderful stay.” May 12, 2008 by
Craig from Ormond Beach, FL
“The hotel had a very comfortable feeling and was convenient to shopping and lots of great restaurants.” May 9, 2008 by
Glenn from Toronto, ON CA
“No parking on site, parking near by did not have in/out privileges no onsite fitness center offsite fitness centre was $20 a day business was not open on Sundays.” May 5, 2008 by
Kirsten from Cambridge, MA
“I was really pleased with the service of this hotel. The room service came speedily and was delicious, check-in and check-out was efficient and easy, and the concierge service was very knowledgeable when we had to call them when our taxi driver was lost en route to a premiere. They saved us so we could get there in time! Beautiful pool and also just a five minute walk to Century mall with great shops.” May 3, 2008 by
Jason from Coto De Caza, CA
“One of the nicest hotels at the best price.” May 2, 2008 by
Helen from Santa Monica, CA
“Beautiful, clean hotel with very professional and friendly staff. When we arrived, a movie (with Katherine Heigel) was being filmed in the lobby which was exciting and only slightly inconvenient. The gym (free to hotel guests) had state of the art equipment (Hulk Hogan was there working out), and the spinning instructor was motivating and knowledgeable. The pool was refreshing and at the right temperature. Overall, I'd say it was a perfect weekend stay.” May 1, 2008 by
Roy from San Jose, CA
“I enjoyed the hotel because it was modern and up to date, the room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the sheets were as well. I did not like how small the ridge was and the fact that every time you moved something inside, you get charged. The internet was not free in my room as it said online, overall, the room was very nice. I would go there again. The girl I think that was her name was the friendliest and nicest front desk girl. I totally enjoyed interacting with her I was also sad that I couldn't get a smoking room.” Apr 28, 2008 by
Jeff from Jacksonville, FL
“This is a great hotel that has been around for a long time in the heart of century plaza.” Apr 24, 2008 by
Ray from Phoenix, AZ
“I thought the hotel was a nice property and overall great staff. But I requested cleaning and amenities and the response time were not there. It took the staff till after 5pm to clean the room. Plus huge charges to use the gym and parking were a lot.” Apr 24, 2008 by
Steven from Brooklyn, NY
“The hotel was fine. However, the rate for parking was over the top. They do not have their own parking and they do not validate parking for guests. Outrageous!” Apr 23, 2008 by
Sarah from Belmont, CA
“Great hotel, best location, nice staff. Towels and sheets were very rough. Covers consisted of sheet/blanket/sheet. No supervision in the pool. Loud kids, wearing T-shirts and underwear in the pool. Room was small but good. Street facing room was somewhat noisy if you're a very light sleeper. Amazing outdoor lounge with fireplace-nice on a warm, LA evening. Close to Century City Mall. Parking was valet only at $31/night or $8 first hour, $2 each additional hour.” Apr 22, 2008 by
Paul from Toronto, ON CA
“It was perfect I had an amazing stay. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and at tentative. I'd go back in a heart beat.” Apr 21, 2008 by
Chuck from Fountain Valley, CA
“I love this hotel and its location. I love to sit out on the patio and enjoy the sights and sounds of Ave of the Stars although it can get a little noisy at times. The only real downsides were that the valet was full, so you end up parking, for about the same price as valet, in a parking garage that is a good hike away from the hotel. Also, for some reason the power was out in my room from midnight to 4 am. I called the front desk and they said it was scheduled maintenance, funny, if it was scheduled, why didn't they tell me when I checked in?” Apr 17, 2008 by
Robert from Brooklyn, NY
“I recommend the Century Plaza for business travel. It is conveniently located just outside West Hollywood and Beverly Hills and is easy to find. The staff is helpful and friendly.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Sandra from Scottsdale, AZ
“I wish we were in an area a that wasn't so industrial. Seemed like a corporate park. There was a mall right next door and that was nice. Very, very close to Beverly Hills. Quite close to many attractions. Lots of people using the pool area. I'd stay again.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Liam from Tyrone, CA
“This hotel is great for people on business, or even leisure travelers, but a car is essential as it is some distance from most of the major attractions. The rooms are large and have great views from the lanai.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Karrie from Sergeant Bluff, IA
“Great hotel, perfect location! Very clean, modern hotel, within walking distance to Beverly Hills/Rodeo Drive and its just a short drive to the beach and airport. Nice outdoor pool.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Mary E. from Las Vegas, NV
“Outside of being charged for the room 4 different times it was great.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Mark from Cathedral City, CA
“Very nice stay, although it took 30 minutes to get bags to the room. All rooms have patios. We had a view of Hollywood to Downtown. The rooms and public spaces had been recently renovated and looked beautiful. However there is no coffee maker in the room, or guest fridge for self storage, although they will bring up these items on request. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I wish internet was included, but that is par for Hyatt.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Jeffrey from Los Angeles, CA
“The hotel was great, the bathroom was immaculate.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Kevin from Fresno, CA
“The Century Plaza was a wonderful find. The location was great, the lounge and patio bar were relaxing, the pool was wonderful and you can't beat the rooms with modern yet comfortable furnishings, a balcony, and the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed on in a hotel.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Corina from Huntington Beach, CA
“I would highly recommend this hotel for business and vacation travelers. It was close to attractions and easy to get to from the freeway. Hotel is hip and modern looking.” Apr 15, 2008 by
Eric from Boca Raton, FL
“Not very good, bad service, had to get out our own luggage, carry it up to the room, had to switch rooms because the view was horrible. The staff was very unaccommodating with the hotel and transaction.” Apr 14, 2008 by
Brian from Atlanta, GA
“First class hotel. Attentive staff!” Apr 13, 2008 by
Ken from Montclair, NJ
“This will be a very special spot when the surrounding construction is done, but for now you have to endure jack hammering and truck noises. Plus, the gym/spa is separate, so you have to pay extra, even if you just want to take a sauna or steam.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Ed from Henderson, NV
“Great place to stay, but beware the $36 parking fee per night.” Apr 8, 2008 by
Judy from Corcoran, CA
“Hotel was great but our room was over a very noisy bar. Hotel did offer to move us but at 1 AM I thought it was too much trouble. Now I wish I would have moved because the noise did not stop until after 3 AM. Then cleaning began about 7 AM so this was a bad nights sleep. If you go, do not let them put you overlooking any of the pools areas.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Dave from Milton, ON CA
“Overall, the Hyatt was great. We feel very happy to have stayed at this hotel as it was beautiful and had a great location. At the end of each day we looked forward to our room. The king bed was so comfortable; we could have slept all day. The bathroom was comfortable in size and feel. Friends and family were staying all over L.A. and after hearing about their hotels, we knew we made the right choice.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Berandette from Santa Rosa, CA
“They accommodated our special requests included my fiance's request to cover our room in rose petals (arranged in conjunction with the local florist). The rooms were beautiful as were the public spaces. Everyone was SO nice. The valet was quick when we requested the car. The food at Breezes was great. I would stay here again.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Maggie from Atlanta, GA
“I got two double beds, a clean room and bathroom! Very convenient for Beverly Hills - about a mile walk.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Jennifer from Rosamond, CA
“Unfortunately we did not get to take advantage of all the amenities that this hotel provides, but what we did participate in was excellent, even for children.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Laurilie from Palm Desert, CA
“Good Central Location for West LA. Dirty Room. It is not a 4 star hotel. On our next stay in LA we will choose another hotel.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Colleen from Crown Point, IN
“Aside from the parking fee, the hotel was very nice. I had no problem getting a room with two double beds (we were traveling with our two children). Traffic in this area is horrific! Allow a boatload of extra time even if you are only driving a mile or two. Your best bet, walk if you can.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Len from West Allis, WI
“Enjoyed our stay, would recommend to others.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Scott from St. Charles, IL
“A four star hotel should have some sort of fitness area. Attached to the pool area was an independent health spa, that the hotels advertising as fitness center is available during your stay. I ended up running on the streets of Beverly Hills instead. Not a bad alternative, but you need to watch the traffic.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Wendy from Miami Beach, FL
“A beautiful hotel with amazing interior design. The dining is fantastic. The outdoor areas were wonderful and there was a relaxing ambiance all around. Even the bar food was first class. The service at the front desk by the receptionist completely ruined our experience however.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Paul from Chicago, IL
“Very nice bathroom, high quality toiletries, beautiful furnishings, decent size of room.” Mar 30, 2008 by
Big T. from Bakersfield, CA
“Good stay, very busy in front of hotel parking, unloading, and leaving.” Mar 29, 2008 by
Duke from Skokie, IL
“This was supposed to be a four star luxury hotel. I thought was very average compared to other non-luxury hotels I stayed at. The curtains were stained with food matter, which was disgusting. The large room was very sparse and seemed to be missing furniture. I did not like the idea of being charged full price for parking. There should be some sort of validation discount if you're staying at the hotel. The X-Bar overcharged me for my drinks. I had two drinks and ended up paying $30 for them when I checked out! Outrageous!” Mar 28, 2008 by
Melissa from Saint Louis, MO
“This hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The staff was outstanding. With two toddlers, traveling can be challenging. However the staff made sure everything was taken care of. The first night they brought us free rollaway bed because they thought we might like an extra bed. Another evening they brought the kids cookies, chocolate dinosaurs, jellybeans and juice. The pools are perfect. There are three 1 foot pools and the large pool had stairs that the kids could play on at one end. There are wonderful (again free) cabanas that we spent a lot of time in when the kids weren't in the pool. We ordered lunch from the pool cafe and for poolside service the meals were very reasonable, especially the kids meals which were very large and less than $6. A great hotel!” Mar 27, 2008 by
Shufen from San Jose, CA
“The rooms were nice size with most things except coffee maker and space in refrigerator. The reservation for each room was 3 persons but they only supplied 2 wash towels. The Valet parking service was almost perfect except they could not find the key when we called before departure. We waited on the curbside and no one informed us until we asked. The receptionist of Valet parking finally found our key and put us in the last of the row. Luckily, one guy saw all what happening and took our key and gave us the car. He is kind of person knowing what quality service is.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Bev from Toronto, ON CA
“Great pool, nice room, well kept facilities.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Keri from Visalia, CA
“The rooms were very nice with a modern flair. Everything was clean and I felt at home.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Barbara from Costa Mesa, CA
“The hotel was beautiful, well maintained and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating - it was odd that a coffeemaker wasn't in the room, but one was delivered immediately upon request. Valet service was slow due to volume, and quite expensive. Although self parking is available, it costs $20 each time you come and go. For my valet money, I expected faster service. We called from the room as we left for a dinner reservation. We were told "5 minutes". We waited outside for 20 minutes more which made us late for our reservation. Apart from that, the accommodations and hotel amenities are above average.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Karen from Alpharetta, GA
“Great central LA location. Bonus of Starbucks in lobby. Room decor is modern w/ HD flat screen TV's. Higher floor rooms have great views of city with big porches to enjoy.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Kathy from Southbury, CT
“Friendly staff. Quick, easy check in. Great room given to me. Very costly to have a car with me for a week. Not only the daily rate of parking but the obligatory tipping each "in and out". Spa is top notch.” Hotel Representatives:
