• The guest services were great. Very good location.
• One of the bed sheets was torn.

“We stayed at this hotel for two nights and three days. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and the room was very nice. Very nice stay.”

• Great decor. Awesome public space.
• Location was a bit off the beaten path. No coffeemaker.

“While most the hotel was perfect, there were a few things not so great. Location was on the outskirts of the zone I picked, no coffeemaker in the room and no glassware. However, they had incredible high-definition TVs and an amazing pool.”

• Back year and balconies were wonderful.
• Beds were not the best. And parking is $31, ouch.

“I remember staying at this place years ago. The hotel has stayed updated and was just lovely. Very contempory with Asia accents. Loved the back yard. Didn't get to visit the spa but the facility looked fantastic and the rates on par with other spas. Only downer was the parking cost.”

• The rooms are very well appointed, and there is lovely view of the CAA Death Star across the street.
• Both the tub and the sink drains were clogged.

“Our bathroom drains--both the sink and the tub were clogged. These were not immediately fixed, and we were not impressed. Also, it's LA, I get it, but I don't understand why valet is expensive as it is and self-parking is no better.”

• The room and lobby were stunning gorgeous! It far exceeded my expectations.
• The parking is extremely overprice - I wish there was a better alternative to the self-parking situation. Too far of a walk from garage to hotel.

“My room was immaculate and absolutely elegant. Nothing was spared - every detail was amazing. The lobby is elegant and impressive. Easy check in and check out. My sole complaint was that we were not warned that there not free re-entry in the self-parking lot within a 24-hr period. I had to spend 40 dollars in one day just because I left the hotel once! Outrageous. Guests should really be warned of this, as I would have been inclined to use the valet had I known. Also, 20 dollars for each entry and exit is ridiculous and the only reason I would think twice about staying here again. But in terms of the elegance of the hotel and close proximity to key locations, I will be back. I just learned the parking lesson the hard way.”

• They upgraded our room to a Jr. Penthouse Suite for our honeymoon!
• The food and drinks were very over priced. Good, but overpriced.

“This hotel is amazing, I stayed here a few years back and was blown away. This time, I was so impressed with their service. The lady at the front desk upgraded us from a Standard Kind room to their Jr. Penthouse Suite! My husband and I were at the hotel for our honeymoon! It was by far the best experience either of us have had! Thank you so very much!”

“Overall I had a great time. Ordered room service, $60 for 2 burgers but tasted great. At night me and my girlfriend went to the x bar which was really nice good place to take a date. The only thing that kind of got on my nerves was the $30 for parking and that's about it. If your thinking about staying there you should you wont regret it.”

• Its nice, clean, friendly staff.

“I like everything about the Hyatt Century Plaza, the only thing I did not like was the hotel did not have a gym, we had to pay for a gym, next door, which did not bother me, but that gym closed at 9 pm on Friday, it was hard to get a workout before I hit the town, most 4 star hotel has a gym in their property with a longer hour as long as you are a guest, you can use it anytime.”

“Clean, large room, easy check-in/check-out. But like most business hotels, everything was extra and overpriced- internet, parking ($38 for valet? Please! And the self-park is off site!).”

• Parking staff/options; had to call for glasses, coffee maker, robes.

“Good place to stay, but the hotel was over-taxed by a young crowd. At a 4 star hotel, you should not have to call to have glassware and robes brought to the room- here you do. And it took quite a while. Great pools, decent location. Would stay again.”

“Excellent service and accommodations but ! I left a $5 tip for 3 nights. I left my home and other keys on a ring in a dresser drawer. Security/lost and found checked to no avail. Terrible end to trip even though my fault. Gracious but ineffectual help.”

“We loved the Century Plaza. It was the perfect get-away and do nothing spot! Our in-room breakfast was perfect from our high floor balcony. The front desk accommodated our room choice, down to the specific room number I requested and the no-hassle late check out was also great! We will return to this hotel!”

• Modern updated rooms, clean, comfortable beds, suburb location, walking distance to Beverly Hills and a nice mall next door/movie theater.
• Too many kids. Valet Parking was a mess, slow and not worth the 31.00 that they charged a day.

“Great Location, nicely renovated rooms, comfortable beds, walking distance to Beverly Hills, a nice mall next door, and a movie theater next door as well, only downfall is that it is a family hotel, not great for a romantic getaway, but that was ok as I went with a friend. A nice place overall. Valet parking was a mess, slow and not good and not worth the 31.00 they charged a day.”

• Not within walking distance to anything, no street parking so forced to pay hotel parking rates.

“This is a nice, clean hotel, conveniently located to Beverly Hills and West Hollywood. However, it is in Century City, which is a kind of dead, generic area. There is nothing within walking distance of the hotel, and there also is no street parking so you have to pay the hotel parking costs. Overall, for the price, it is a very nice hotel and reasonably well located.”

• This hotel was very convenient. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.
• We were told that the Town Car was the same price as the Taxi cabs. When in fact they were 10-15 dollars more than the taxi.

“I enjoyed our stay at the Westin Gaslamp. The rooms were small and needed an upgrade. The coffee shop has no windows and was very dreary, the food was good. To Sea World the Town car was $30.00 plus tip and the return with a taxi was $20.00 plus tip.”

• Be prepared for $31 valet parking and sometimes long wait time.

Also nice pool with Cabanas. Great for romantic weekend. Great for Business. Also kid friendly. Everything you expect in a 4 star hotel and more.”

• Horrible parking situation, especially in a car-based city like LA.

“The beautiful decor and sizable rooms spell luxury at this centrally located LA hotel. However lovely, the Century City area itself offers little by way of attractions (save for the nearby mall), meaning you'll have to have a car to get to anything of interest. Unfortunately, parking is with either overpriced valet, or ridiculously overpriced self-parking garage not attached to the property.”

• Street traffic and neighboring road and building construction.

“Weekend trip to LA to see a friend's son perform at UCLA. Had hoped to get a suite (separate BR from living area) but this worked out fine. The wait staff at the restaurant was excellent and so was the meal (though expensive). The outside pool area was fun, people lounging and playing without causing any trouble for anyone else. The adjacent road was under construction and the adjacent lot also has a high-rise going up. The street noise was a little bothersome (room was on the front side of the hotel, not the pool side). Valet parking was easy and prompt. Concierge was helpful in getting a few items mailed quickly for me. And the fact that Hertz has an on-site counter was helpful since we had a Hertz rental and needed some assistance.”

“The hotel was literally overtaken by an Amway convention which had the outside in chaos. However, once we figured out how to get in, the hotel expedited our check in. It was clean and comfortable but the location was not very desirable.”

“We only stayed one night, over Mother's Day weekend, but front desk upgraded our room and offered a late check out without us even asking. The location of the hotel was great and the guest rooms felt spacious. We had a wonderful stay.”

• The Breeze restaurant had a beautiful outdoor patio and served the most amazing gourmet omelet!
• You definitely need to take a cab or rent a car to go sightseeing.

“I was really pleased with the service of this hotel. The room service came speedily and was delicious, check-in and check-out was efficient and easy, and the concierge service was very knowledgeable when we had to call them when our taxi driver was lost en route to a premiere. They saved us so we could get there in time! Beautiful pool and also just a five minute walk to Century mall with great shops.”

• Professional and friendly staff.
• The room was smaller than I expected with no full length mirror (except for one inside closet where it was too dark to see).

“Beautiful, clean hotel with very professional and friendly staff. When we arrived, a movie (with Katherine Heigel) was being filmed in the lobby which was exciting and only slightly inconvenient. The gym (free to hotel guests) had state of the art equipment (Hulk Hogan was there working out), and the spinning instructor was motivating and knowledgeable. The pool was refreshing and at the right temperature. Overall, I'd say it was a perfect weekend stay.”
