• Continental breakfast was fresh, location was very good.
• We were assigned a corner room on bottom floor with very loud guests upstairs.

“We were put in a first floor rear corner room and had very loud people above us who danced and played loud music until well after 2 a.m. on a Sunday night. Two calls to the front desk did nothing to alleviate the problem.”

• I liked the continental breakfast, the freindliness of the staff.

“This Travelodge offers a reasonably clean, decent place at more a more economic price than most hotels in Santa Monica. Lesser priced hotels would have not been this decent. It's not in a great location, but it's not a horrible one either.”

• Handy for what we needed.

• Pet friendly, although they charged extra.
• No swimming pool which was on my list of requirements.

“They did accommodate us, although my dog could tell where others had been in the room. Parking was incredibly tight and there was only 1 ice machine located upstairs in the middle building, inconvenient. Room was comfy and all extras, towels, iron, pillows, requested were quickly delivered.”

• Location and parking.
• Very noise. Poor Breakfast.

“Good location and free big parking. No sound proof which -being in the middle of a road with a parking on the other side- you will get no quality sleep. Engines from parking and cars on the streets will wake you up several times during the night. Air conditioner didn't work and only made noise. Breakfast was very poor consisting in toast, juice and coffee. Wouldn't stay here again.”

• Kitchenette included which was not expected or advertised.

“Busy street, smoking in common areas drifting into room, no elevator for upper levels, little direction, poor parking, difficult to find hotel, all around poor choice.”

• It's convenient, within 5 miles by surface streets of where I was working.
• I got a smoking room--horrible! "No others" were available. And the walls were paper thin.

“The hotel was within a block of a great (and highly-recommended by my local colleagues) Mexican restaurant called lire¿s. If you go to this hotel, ask for a room in building one, where the lobby is located, toward the back, to avoid road noise. My room was in building 3, and so I ended up hauling all my stuff about a 1/2 block down picot blvd. To get there. In the morning, when it was pouring rain (rare in la); I had to haul all the stuff back to where my car was parked, near the lobby. Not pleasant. Also, if you go, confirm a non-smoking room. All they had "available" was a smoking room for me, which was miserable, but since I¿d pre-paid, and I was so exhausted, I took it. They were sold out, and there were no other options. Not even for a room upgrade (I would have paid!) To one of their Jacuzzi rooms. The room was clean, though, and had a mini-kitchen with micro and fridge, table & 2 chairs; the bed was comfortable enough; walls were paper thin.”

• Continental breakfast.
• Beds are very flat and very hard.

“I asked the front desk staff about the hard beds and she said they were hard because they are new. I asked if they had any rooms with older softer beds and she said no.”

• Nothing it didn't have a shower.
• It did not have a shower for me to bathe in, what a joke!

“Hotel was horrible, no shower curtain, lots of work done on the wall in the shower. the water was scolding hot then ran extremely cold so I had to bathe in the sink!”

• I really like the location and the amenities the room had.
• I wanted a downstairs room not an upstairs room.

“The hotel location was one of the biggest factors for me choosing the room. Its close to Hollywood, downtown, beach etc..”

• Sink near bed, smell, view, breakfast, beds and sheets, taxes were high in Santa Monica.

“I had an expensive cab ride back and forth to the event to pay for. I thought I was going to Santa Monica to stay on Ocean Avenue, not inland on Pico.”

• The rooms were clean and large.
• The parking was difficult.

“We were in a small courtyard that had a security gate. However a few times we found the gate unlocked. The rooms were large and clean. The bath and kitchen area looked well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. No excessive street noise but the parking lot we were in was difficult to get out off due to it being very narrow. Otherwise a nice place to stay.”
