• Clean room.
• Overpriced; expensive parking and slow housekeeping response.

“$24 Daily parking fee should be included in the cost. One square of chocolate for two people is typical for this hotel's greedy management. it took three phone calls to get housekeeping service. The room was very clean.”

• The location and the aesthetics of the hotel were great.
• I had to ask for additional pillows and we had a burned out light bulb in one lamp.

“The location is great; the staff was extremely courteous, friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.”

• Wonderful pool.
• The walls are thin and our neighbors were noisy and up late.

“This is one of my favorite places to stay in LA because it is so convenient to Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and northern areas like Pasadena. The staff is superb; they bend over backwards to accommodate you. The internet access has a problem in that you cannot send Email through their server so you better have web-based Email as an alternative.”

• The style of the architecture and interior design was completely unexpected and mind-blowing!
• The flat screen TV (although very nice) didn't pivot for those of us who like to work at the desk with the news on. Also needed is a hand towel bar.

“My stay at the Lure Hotel was one of the best experiences that I have encountered in over the past 3 years. The atmosphere was top notched in a very modern, yet elegant quality. The front desk and valet staff was particularly exceptional!”

• The staff was incredibly friendly and food was excellent.
• The rooms were too masculine.

“I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The valets and desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The food in the lounge was great, and very reasonably priced. It was very clean and overall a good experience”

• It was great! The location, staff, rooms, food all of it.
• Only downside was having to walk up the hill to get to rooms.

“The hotel was wonderful. Very pretty and well kept. The room was very large and very clean and the help was wonderful. The concierge did a great job and was so helpful. Great experience.”

• Staff was friendly and courteous
• $18/day parking was ridiculous; pool was far removed from our room

“Nice hotel. My perception is that its better days were in the past. Location right off of I-405 was difficult at time getting in and out. It's a good drive from this location to any sightseeing activity. A hotel in Santa Monica or Hollywood would be more convenient.”

“The Luxe Hotel Sunset met my expectations and I would stay there again. The room was very roomy and very clean. The decor was not gaudy as mentioned in another review. There is a noise factor. I could hear the TV in the next room a couple of times early in the morning which was bothersome considering I was on vacation and not rising early. Also we were over the dining patio and could hear the guests. But it wasn't bothersome enough to exclude the hotel from any future plans. I am a light sleeper so that is a factor also. We were in the main building and I didn't explore the grounds around the other building so don't know how the commute between buildings is. The staff was helpful and very courteous. The hotel setting is very quiet considering how close to the freeway it sits.”

“The room was very nicely appointed - seemed to have been recently redone. The bathroom wasn't as nice as the room itself. The hotel was fairly luxurious.”
