• The hotel was very comfortable.
• The hot tub was in a room open to the air on one side and was not hot.

“We found the motel difficult to locate using Map Quest directions. The motel staff and rooms were very nice. Marriott Fairfield includes a continental breakfast. Marriott Courtyard does not.”

• The staff was nice.
• There was a cracker from previous guest in the room.

“I think this would be a great hotel for the business traveler. Not really great if you have a family. There are a lot of close places for food and entertainment. I got my room in record time. But the rooms are pretty small, and nothing at all to write home about.”

• A little difficult to arrive off of freeway. Lots of local traffic.

• The price, fresh cookies, tea, coffee, lobby.
• Personally we usually like a mini frig in the room, but not a big deal

“We have stayed here before but it enjoyed it more this time. The TV selection was a bit better than the past. We visit our nephew and he came over and enjoyed the indoor Jacuzzi with us. Good stay and good memories made.”

• The bedding was absolutely heavenly!

“Although we were there for a very short stay, we had one of the most comfortable sleeps away from home. The bedding was fantastic. Located to many eating establishments made meals very convenient. Check in and check out was very smooth. It was nice to find hot coffee/tea/ cold water with fresh lemons available at anytime of the day.”

• Courteous, clean, spa, restaurant.
• Bathroom vent fan did not work, no phone book, TV lacked station directory. First night, cable, not accessible.

“For the price it was very comfortable and convenient. The weekend was a little noisy with tournament kids there, knocking on doors, running through halls, just being kids and unsupervised. My wife and I managed to ignore it all and they quieted down quickly. Weekday(s) were very quiet. We have become very accustomed to Marriott upper class dwellings, and this one was a little below par. Overall though we enjoyed our stay, for the price.”

“Will not stay here again for this price. Although it was close to family, for the money there are several others nearby newer hotels that offer larger rooms and the breakfast for same or less price. They seemed to be geared more to business folks. Fewer amenities, older hotel.”

• The most comfortable bed and pillows I ever enjoyed.
• Was promised breakfast was included in price -- but it wasn't! Very bogus!

“A very good room -- comfortable beds, good TV with hbo, good shower, clean room. The hotel staff left a lot to be desired -- when I booked, they advertised "breakfast buffet" but when I arrived I was told that it would cost $12 per person per day for tge buffet. I hate false advertising!”

“Cheapest breakfast is $10.00. No room service even though they have a restaurant? Would only rate it a 1-2 star if that! They also said someone may knock on your door to replace the shower head with a memo taped to the sliding door. Toilet ran until you jiggled the handle. Difficult to heat the room.”

• The amenities of the hotel were very nice for the money spent on the room.
• The hotel was undergoing renovations--windows were taped with plastic.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Good amenities, good locations, clean, and helpful staff. I would recommend waiting until renovations are complete however.”

“The courtyard by Marriott in Camarillo is your best bet due to its proximity and freeway close location. There are a number of restaurants around and an excellent breakfast buffet. The rooms are clean, and I will stay there again. For soccer tournaments and staying in Camarillo this hotel is your best bet!”

“The hotel was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was convenient and the breakfast buffet very nice. We liked the nice touch of lemon water available in the lobby and cookies in the evening.”

• Located 20 minutes from la and 5 minutes from Ventura easy to find.
• No ice machines on upper floors had to go to lobby to procure ice.

“Clean and comfortable, great black out shades in the room. The staff more then anything made the vista with their helpfulness and directions in the area. All that you would expect from a Marriott hotel.”

“It was very clean and convenient. The best part was this nice restaurant bistro 13.you can order thru hotel but I suggest you avoid the 20% hotel fee and walk over there. This is some of the best pasta I have ever eaten. I went 2 out of 3 nights and would come back just to go to the bistro. I use to work in an Italian rest. For 10 years and the food here was just as good.”

• A smoker (or many) had been in the first room I was in, but they did let me change.

“Unfortunately, the first room given me smelled heavily of cigarettes, but they did let me move. In fairness to the hotel, each room is marked non-smoking. I know they can't control what people do in the rooms. However, when housekeeping goes in after the smokers have left, they had to smell th3e same thing that I did and they didn't do anything to resolve the problem. Instead, housekeeping ignored it and went to the next room after they did their normal cleaning. ”

• Have stayed in courtyard by Marriott previously and do not care for the difficult time orienting yourself to the hallways without signage to lobby.

“Bright clean hotel. Reasonably priced. Have gotten disoriented in hallways several times, unless you are right by an exit door. If not, good luck, you will get turned around. Some simple signage will help.”

• The staff and the Halloween goodies at check in.
• The breakfast buffet should have been included.

“Clean, friendly, located in a strip mall with a nice variety of restaurants (deli, sushi, Italian, BBQ, and Starbucks) within a very short walking distance. Small outdoor pool with plenty of lounge chairs. Staff was very accommodating during a town-wide blackout and also when we thought we'd lost a pair of sneakers by the pool. The smell of sausage and coffee had permeated our hallway by 6:30. Breakfast was over-priced for Continental-style, so we walked to the deli and got bagels, pancakes, and breakfast burritos for half the price. Overall, a very pleasant stay, well worth the price we paid.”

“The hotel was clean and in a great location. However, the beds were horrendous. They offered no support. They were extremely soft and broken in. Rolling over in bed felt like you were trying to climb a mountain.”
