• Clean, really comfy bed!

“A great hotel.....no frills. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean place to stay without the price of a fancy hotel, this one is fantastic!”

• The hotel was clean, staff friendly and centrally located.
• The elevator locations were a little hard to find; signs would be a great help.

“I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. The staff was very accommodating and the room was clean. It was located right off the highway and easy to find. There were lots of restaurants in close proximity and not far from Bakersfield College.”

• Nothing that we disliked.

“Nice and clean looking rooms with all facilities. We had an overnight break on our trip forward to Sequoia National Park. And the hotel was comfortable enough to make us oversleep and create a delay in our plans! Did not get enough chances to interact with the staff though. Nevertheless, they seemed friendly even though we checked in at 3 am. Don't expect a buffet breakfast, simple but wholesome though.”

• It had the worst continental breakfast ever.

“Really good, but awkward to get into and, as I said, the worst continental breakfast ever. No eggs or waffles but plenty of pre-packaged cereals and breads.”

• It had a pool.
• They were remodeling.

“It was as expected for what I paid. My only complaint there was an earthquake while I was there but obviously that is out of the hands of the hotel staff.”

• The front desk staff was very friendly, outgoing and accommodating. Excellent service!
• The entrance to the hotel was confusing and missed it twice. Need better signage.

• I liked the lights under the palm trees at night.
• They didn't clean the room early. Didn't leave towels.

“This hotel was ok. The hotel room was very small. Hard to fit into the bathroom and close the door. The maid didn't leave towels and then didn't leave a mat for the bathroom floor. Breakfast was ok.”

• There was pet hair in my room the 2nd night that wasn't there the 1st.

“I will never stay at this hotel again. The fact that there was pet hair on my blanket on the floor that wasn't there the first night is proof enough that this facility is has the lowest standards.”

“My first of two nights seemed fine, but on the second night it was horrible! The blankets were full of pet hair! This thing was not there the first night mind you. I will never stay here again.”

• Accommodating staff-needed crib & it was delivered immediately.

“I needed to check in a little early and leave late. We were there as my 5 Monday. Old grandson was having surgery the 15th of January, requiring us to be at the hospital at 0530. After surgery, we came back to the hotel and slept till 1pm before we hit the freeway for the 1 1/2 hr. Drive home. This way we could make sure he would be okay to get in the car and be safe on the way home, as there is nothing between Bakersfield and Rosamond. We really appreciate the hotel accommodating us.”

• It allows pet our room smelled and they wouldn't let us switch rooms because we had lain on the beds.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was in a scary location and the room was horrible. Smelled and when we asked to be moved they did not accommodate. Didn't have a very wide variety of breakfast. We ended up grabbing McDonald's on our way out.”

• Like the room space, 2 doubles, and cleanliness of room.
• I did not like the way the bathroom door. Not enough space between to close w/o hitting yourself with it. I'm a pretty small person.

“I would rate this hotel as one of the best stops for the price. Very clean, comfortable, pleasant surroundings. It's a great break from an 8-hr. Drive to our destination.”

• Cigarette smoke entered through bathroom vent.

“Nice clean rooms. Large separate sink and mirror bathroom area. Nice selection for continental breakfast. Quick check and out and ample parking. Wall mounted thermostat kept room warm and comfortable and quiet throughout the night.”

• It was convenient to the hospital, family, mortuary, it had a very nice continental breakfast.
• There was nothing we did not like. We stayed there 2 weeks ago & got other family members to stay.

• Shabby exterior in spots. The hotel sign on the street is harder to spot.

“Very nice. Exception is the location: no direct access from northbound 99. You need to know that you go to the exit past hwy 58, then backtrack a short ways. The exterior: stairwell, walkway rate a 5/6, somewhat shabby. The lobby and room, an 8. (I was nicely surprised)”

• I've been requesting a king room they would give me one this time.

• The room was large and access to the freeway was great. Restaurants were nearby.

“The hotel was clean, even though I was placed in a room that made all my clothes smell like smoke. I liked the room layout and space, but had a hard time sleeping after finding several bugs in the bathroom and on the bed. I would not want to stay at this location again unless they had the place tented and cleaned up the messy trees that left my car dirty. The staff was nice in the morning, but the evening staff didn't respond properly when I let them know about the bugs. The breakfast was good, but I would recommend adding a waffle maker as most places have one.”

• This was the 2nd time I was at this hotel. The first stay was a 10 they never said no to any request i.e. change my room to a king bed. This time no.

“The hotel is clean and for the price I paid good value. The first stay they were very friendly never said no i.e. requested a king bed this time they said no. That's usually all it takes who is behind the desk.”

• The woman that checked me in helped me with my bags to my room since I had a 1 and 2 year old with me. I was very appreciative of her assistance!
• There were no high chairs available in the breakfast area.
