• The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. When we had a need they were quick to accommodate us.
• One room had a very strong cigarette odor.

“Overall we were pleased with our stay. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and fairly quiet. I would stay there again and I would recommend this hotel.”

• The room and the beddings are uncomfortable.

“I had a small handicap room. The air freshener was overwhelmingly strong. It was probably used to hide the cigarette odor. I felt that this particular room was once a smoker room. I found a lighter on one of the chairs. The hotel was noisy. The beddings were stiff and uncomfortable.”

• I liked that it had a microwave and fridge.
• I didn't like that there wasn't a hot tub. Also the painting in the room was quite depressing.

“Overall I had a decent stay. The shower was tiny and not very functional. Water pressure is awful. It wasn't the best hotel I've stayed in, but it was good enough.”

• The location is excellent with regard to restaurants, shopping center, etc.
• Not a fault of the hotel itself but this was an out of our way. We would have preferred the Red Lion Inn Pasco but overall the stay/location was great.

• It was very upscale but I still felt comfortable. I felt like a winner there.
• It did not have continental breakfast on Sunday.

• The beds were not rocks when you sat on them or slept in them.
• Hallway noise was a slight issue.

“Professional and accommodating. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant hours were excellent for a business traveler and the food was good. The conference facilities were good.”

• Pool was being fixed.

“Staff was helpful and courteous. Rooms were comfortable. All assistance was completed quickly. Rooms were decorated nicely and completely. (No DVD players.) Had cable and pay per view movies.”

• The comfort of the room.
• Poor internet connect-wireless. No business center.

“The hotel was fine, but the internet connection was hit and miss. Sometimes it would work in the room and other times it did not. I would have to go to the lobby for a connection. Also did not like that there was no real business center.”

• The staff was excellent--kind and helpful--assisting me in every way possible.
• The "business room" only had one computer with a printer. In the morning there were several people waiting for the printer.

“The hotel is well located by restaurants and the mall. The staff was up and out always cleaning making sure the hotel had a clean, welcoming atmosphere. I enjoyed my stay at the Red Lion and would recommend the hotel to others who must visit the area.”

• The outside doors were not secure.

“The room itself was very clean, the bed very comfortable, the shower nice and hot. The location was a hoppin' place, on the main drag with lots of restaurants and shopping and golf close by. The staff was very friendly. Great experience, the only problem was our stay was too short.”

• I really liked the cleanliness and the soft bed in my room. It was a very nice hotel and I have absolutely no complaints.
• My card to my room did not work the second night but I really have no complaints.

“Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel was very nice. The room was spacious and the bed was very soft and appeared to be very clean. I really enjoyed my stay at the Red Lion.”

“We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was very helpful. They brought up a crib for 6-month-old daughter who slept great! The beds were awesome! We'd definitely stay here again.”

• Poor service in restaurant.

“The location is good. Close to mall and other shopping. The only negative was the service in the restaurant. When there are only 6 people in the restaurant (including you) and you stand by the "please wait to be seated sign", for 5-7 minutes and you have to stick your head in the kitchen to find someone there is a problem.”

“This was the first time I ever had a Problem. The Red Lion in Kennewick was about 50% occupied (plenty of rooms) and I simply asked for a room with one bed because I was alone, and a room that did not smell like smoke. So I was stuck in a room with two small beds for one and smell of an old smoking room for a none smoker. Please Help and want to know your response.”

• The food selection is excellent. The toiletries are also superb. Bath and body products. The rooms are big and very attractive.
• Its just hard to tell where the hotel lobby is at when you're coming from outside and its your first time.

• Good amenities - refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, etc., and nice toiletries.
• Cigarette butts on patio of non-smoking room.

“For the price this was a very nice hotel with many nice amenities. The glass patio doors were very dirty and there were cigarette butts on the patio. Otherwise the room was clean.”

• The front desk employees, even though it was Thanksgiving they were so nice and helpful.
• The Air conditioner was on in the room when we arrived and it was 36 degrees outside.

• The room was moderately upscale, the bedding both the mattress and sheets/pillows were very upscale/the towels were excellent!
• The exterior and public places were tired/ the fitness center lacked a lot nothing but treadmills.

“The room was excellent with great furnishings and granite countertops. The bedding and mattress were fantastic! The room had a nice entertainment center and work desk but the extra was a cabinet that hid a small fridge and microwave. I used the chair and ottoman a lot. The bath towels were way above standard.”

• Overall, the room needed to be upgraded.

“Once again we were expecting a nicer room for the rating this hotel received. Had we known, we would have stayed at the best western- less money, nicer accommodations. We'll try one more time hopefully next time the experience will be better.”

• Central location safety factor for woman traveling alone.
• Had to use stairs to get to 2nd floor rooms.

“Staff was very friendly, helpful and prompt. Greeted me each time I arrived. Always acknowledged me when passing thru lobby. Upscale restaurant attached. Pricing favorable. Even maid service people were very friendly and accommodating.”

• Easy to find and very friendly at check in.

“They were very friendly when we checked in but were unable to accommodate us at 12:00 a.m. And then again at 3:00 am. When there was very loud partying going on and knocking on our door (about 20 30 people). We called the front desked and complained twice at those times and were confronted with an employee in the morning who knew nothing of the incident and consequently the manager was off that day (which was Sunday).”

• I expected, per the description of this star level hotel, for a pool to be available for use.

“This hotel has a pool but it is outdoors and not open year round. Therefore, it should not be included in the group of hotel ratings where it is assumed a pool is available. I would have stayed elsewhere as a pool was a priority to our family.”

• Rooms felt comfortable, good bed, lots of pillows, and good inviting warm colors.
• Restaurant was closed in the afternoon, including the lounge.

“Great location, lots of restaurants close. Great starting point for wine tasting, freeway close for the Tri-cities, Benton City (Red Mountain), Prosser, and Walla Walla area. Shopping close. Clean rooms and common areas. Friendly staff.”

• You guys rock!
• Our room was dirty and still had food on the floor from the prior guest. The toilet was broken along with the back door to the balcony.

“This hotel is not a 3 star hotel. I would rate this as a 2 star hotel. My room was supposed to be smoke free; when I checked into the first room it smelled of smoke. I went to the front desk and asked for another room. They seemed put out that I asked for another room. The second room they made card keys that would not work, so back to the front desk. I finally had keys that worked with the room and went for dinner. On return I noticed food on the floor between the beds that was not cleaned up from the prior guest. It was late, I was tired, and so I stayed in the room. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone passing through the tri-cities area especially if they have to pay full price.”

“My wife, daughter, and I went to the tri-cities to attend a family wedding. I was pleasantly surprised that red lion was one of the hotels available in Kennewick. Enjoyed our visit and stay. Only complaint was limited parking for a vehicle with a trailer as we brought the motorcycle on trailer so I could spend a day riding with my sister and cousin. Had to settle for a poorly lit parking area for the SUV/trailer. Otherwise, the hotel was fine. Pleasant staff, great location.”

• The complimentary bottles (2 small) of water for which I was charged later on my credit card $4.32.

“Overall it was good except for the bottle water thing. I specifically ask if there were any addition charged when I checked out and they said no. I was charged later as I already mentioned. Had I known they were going to charge for the water I would have brought in some from the case I had in the car.”
