• Noisy room.

“Upon check-in, I was informed that there was no room available for the first night. I had to reload my bags, check in to the Marriot Courtyard, reload and wait for clean room the second fifth nights. H/Inn under remodel, my room was not complete with accessories. Room located off courtyard/pool/spa. They allow children/guests to use pool at 8 AM - 10 PM. Difficult to concentrate, do business in room. You can't sleep in or go to bed early due to noise. Spa water was cold. Missed making up my room one night.”

“The hotel was decent, but I didn't appreciate being put in room not even in the main building, but at the very very back of the second unattached building.”

• We needed to change our reservation date and the staff did this without any problems.
• The room was small. Only 2 towels, I requested a roll away long before we to the hotel and long after we were there we were still waiting for it.

“It is helpful when a hotel that advertises itself as "family friendly" can actually accommodate a family in a room; ie, a small couch with a pull out bed, a set of towels for each family member, room for a roll away without bumping into furniture trying to get by, getting the roll away into the room before the guest arrives. In fact, I had to call at 9:30p.m. twice to get a roll away I had requested earlier in the day, long before we arrived. Kids eating free is nice, but I'd rather have kids sleeping soundly and the ability to walk around the room without difficulty.”

• Clerk was unconcerned with my situation. I felt like I was robbed at pen point.

“I paid for two days when only could use one. Hotel policies are unrealistic and are just ammunition for hotel staff to keep your money. Terrible. Instead of reserving a room next time I'll just rather sleep in my car.”

“Nasty, dirty stained sheets when we checked in. Problem was taken care of within 5 minutes. When we returned the second night at 11:30 PM, maid service had not been done. Again taken care of within 5 minutes. A lot less hassle for us if things had been done right in the first place.”

“Room barely accommodated the single double bed; it was a smoking room; it was the farthest in the hotel from the registration; there was no pen or pencil; the reservation had been made three days in advance; it was the worst hotel experience in memory.”

“Good Hotel for the price. Located right next to the airport so perfect for traveler. I requested and received a room with a king size bed. Nice clean room. I will stay here again.”

• There was a burn mark in the comforter.

• Heater did not work. Not enough towels or toiletry items.

“Sheets in one of the beds looked as if they had been slept in. There was a coffee maker in the bathroom - who has food in the or drinks in the bathroom! this is a big no-no in some cultures. No coffee, sugar or creamer.”

• Hotel was very clean with very comfortable bed and view of beautiful atrium area.
• The first room we were given keys to was not cleaned, so we needed to be given another room. The staff was apologetic - but it was inconvenient.

“There is still some renovation ongoing, but our room had been updated and was nice. The hotel seems to be very suitable for business travel. The atrium and pool area is very beautiful. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant was good, but nothing special; we did not try the buffet. Service was good throughout the hotel.”

• I liked the staff! They were very friendly and helpful!
• Chlorine smell of pool was a bit overwhelming.

“Arrived for a weekend stay to visit Cal State Fresno campus. Front desk staff was very friendly and willing to help us find food (other than the hotel's cafe) and activities. Room was very comfy and clean. Even though it was across the street from the Fresno Airport, you wouldn't know it! It was surprisingly quiet! And when you go to the hotel bar, ask for a black cherry! They're delicious!”

• Our bathroom smelled bad. The non smoking room smelled of smoke. It was under renovation.

• Construction work and very average rooms.

“This did not live up to expectations of a 3 star hotel. The rooms were dark and small though the beds were comfortable. Many Holiday Inns have complimentary breakfast or some kind of special. this one did not. I did not eat at the hotel though it had a decent sized bar area. They were painting and working on the halls. Overall it was below my expectations for a 3 star hotel”

“Great hotel. They are doing some renovating but it did not interfere with the atmosphere or quality of stay in any way. They have an excellent restaurant and a beautiful pool and waterfall atrium area. I'd have liked an elevator but understand they are not required unless there are more than 2 floors; Id like to see one as part of their renovation plans.”

“My room was clean and comfortable but you should not list Holiday Inns as a 3 star hotel. I have never yet stayed in a Holiday Inn that I thought was a 3 star hotel.”

• The atmosphere and it being remodeled a slightly noisy.

“This hotel is going through a revamp so there were allot of fixtures (exit signs) off the walls. Staff is super nice been there twice and she has helped me. Overall I would stay at the hotel again. Have all the amenities to just chill and get ready for a business meeting.”

• Our family was traveling with a soccer team. The indoor pool was tons of fun for the kids.
• Check in was extremely slow.

“The indoor pool and deck area were great for the kids. They were thrilled to swim comfortably in the middle of December. The hotel is undergoing a major renovation which was obvious from the rolls of carpet and excess furniture that was around. It should be very nice when done. Check in was extremely slow. Other than the staff person at check in, all other staff was very friendly and helpful, including the remodeling crews. We stayed with a group of families from a soccer team. We would definitely stay here again if attending another tournament in Fresno Clovis area.”

• It was the old design with large pool in center of (indoors) structure.
• Room Service brought wrong order or missed items, staff seemed putting out when asked for services. Hotel had construction crews working indoors.

“Hotel is Classic design of 70s-80s, liked having indoor pool during winter. But Hotel is old and showing age. 50% of staff, (all maintenance. & cleaning) didn't speak English. Bar was always closed and when open, Bartenders were too busy.”

• The indoor swimming pool and ambience was awesome.
• Stained carpets in the room.

“What the room lacked the indoor swimming pool made up for and the pool table in the bar was fun along with the bar itself. I would definitely stay again with the rate I got for it! And it was definitely much better than the place my boss was willing to pay for.”

• As a holiday Inn member, I was put in a room away from building didnt like that.

“I'm a holiday Inn member, and hotel should accommodate us in a room close to the lobby, and in another building. It wasn't convenient to keep driving to go to lobby, and back to room. I could've walked, but for security reasons at night needed to drive. There were several people after me who was accommodated in the building within the lobby area unfair.”

• The rooms had nice furnishings and the beds were fairly comfortable.
• There was a party in the building next to us, drunken noise and yelling at what must have been around 1 or 2 am our room had a really strong odor.

“This one is older than I expected. The lady at the front desk was very nice. The beds were comfortable. I was awakened a few times by the party in the next building.”

“Hotel staff unhelpful & cannot do their job accurately. Restaurant was horrible, chose the breakfast buffet, all food was room temperature (eggs, bacon, biscuit, etc) mentioned it to restaurant manager & she was very blaze & said "oh I won't charge you". I had to mention to her that it was a health risk to be serving those types of foods that have not been kept at proper temperatures, she didn't care. Never eat at hotel restaurant unless you want to chance food related illnesses!”

• It is one of the more tired holiday inns.

“This is the old classic Holidome with not a lot of updates. It looks like they are making some efforts, but it is generally overpriced for what you get. However, you can't beat the location. I walk from the airport.”

• The pool was the best part of the hotel although why inside?
• It smelled old and stuffy.

“The hotel wasn't what we were expecting. The lobby and rooms look more Motel than Hotel. The carpets are really worn, the style is outdated and then there is the strange layout and no elevators. Hallways lead to doors that lead to stairways, just to lead you back to a doorway and another hallway. Not our idea of a 3 star (upscale).”

• There is a constant and saturated chlorine smell.

“This is a good hotel, which is into the upper scales of a three stars. It offers a good variety of services, of which the spa, pool and social areas are great. If planned events are considered, this is a good place to arrange them.”
