- Next door two yelling children. Husband was due in hospital next morning so needed rest, but not worth switching rooms for 1 night.

- The tower area of the hotel is actually nice.
- The court yard building is just a cheap sleep place that is not well maintained.
“We ended up leaving a day early because the hotel room was so Smokey and poorly maintained. The actual casino building was very nice and the staff is friendly but stay away from booking in the court yard!”

- It was close to the friends I was visiting.
- Everything else. It was not the hotel I thought. It was a building behind the hotel I thought I was getting. Everything about it was inconvenient.
“It was not the hotel I thought. It was a building behind the hotel I thought I was staying in. Everything about it was inconvenient for a mom traveling alone with her child. I had to wait almost an hour for them to bring my luggage because they wrote down the wrong room. When I tried to check in at the main desk, the woman told me I was registered at a different building. I had to walk through a smoke-filled casino, with an infant, and then outside to get to it (they had already taken my car to valet). The doors were not automatic in this building and it was very difficult to get in and out. It was not a good experience.”

- The trains that kept me up till midnight and up by 7:00.

“At the check in desk the receptionist made me wait while she prepared food in the microwave in the office, not once but twice. She was eating the entire time she took care of me the first time. The second time smoke poured from the microwave because her food was on fire. She began running around to open doors and windows to air the lobby and office out so the fire department would not come. The elevators were very slow and housekeeping in the room was poor.”

- Cleanliness was excellent, ventilation from smokers was well equipped.
- Hotel desk clerk was very impatient with some questions I needed to ask. (impression of like I was ignorant).
“Pretty much our stay was nice. I have to say though, your indoor pool and hot tub was a disappointment. There was a sign stating that children under a certain age were not allowed in the hot tub, but the pool staff did nothing to remove the children under age. Two teenage boys were doing flips off the edge of the pool and sliding down the rails that enter the pool, and pool staff did nothing to escort them out. I confronted the pool staff with both issue's and one was aware that the two boys were not guest and had been lingering around for some time, but did nothing to correct the problem. The other staff member (second night) told me if he would remove the children from the hot tub, that they would just return later on. I believe a few more pool staff members (like lifeguards) would create a more well controlled and safe environment for our children and all guests. My family and I visit Reno often, (my brother and his family live there) this was our first visit to the nugget, as we have stayed at other hotels, as well. I will say though, we will return to the nugget for our next visit.”

- Our room was right next to the elevator and vending machines.
“This is an older part of the Nugget. The room was a good price, but it was located right next to the elevator and vending machines. We woke up a lot during the night to loud guests and noises. I'd stay here again if they would give me a different room and if I brought earplugs which they didn't sell in the lobby.”

“I have stayed there before so I thought it would be ok, but upon arrival I was sent to the Garden annex. Off location not in the main facility. This section was old, dirty and even the patio door was broken and difficult to lock. Really no amenities for the business traveler.”

- Safety is an issue here per hotel staff.
“They have a room service menu that states 24 hours, except in very small type it states not after 10:00 PM at the Courtyard. There is no restaurant on site. If you go over to the main Nugget hotel for dinner, it is not safe to walk alone back to your room if it is after dark. I was told many women are attacked there. A security guard drove me back. It should be stated that this is not connected to the main hotel, nor is it of the same quality, or anywhere near, as the main hotel.”

- The pool at the main Nugget was great.
- Extremely rude staff and located right next to the freeway.
“We reserved a room at the Nugget and what we got was a room at an adjacent hotel which was nowhere near the quality of the Nugget as portrayed in the advertisement. It was like an old run down Motel 6. They add on a mandatory $5 resort fee per day, which since it is mandatory should be included in the advertised price. Food at Trader Dicks was very poor. Meatballs not cooked fully. The iron in the room was chained to the ironing board, making it very tough to use. I travel a lot for business and see all types of hotels. I will never stay at any Nugget hotel again.”

- The employees were rude, house keeping locked us out of our room. Extra charges after arrival.
“The hotel is located between a railroad switching yard and the freeway. We had to go to the 24th floor to lessen the noise. While the Bell hops were very good the valley attendants were very rude. Upon arrival we were met with an additional charge of $5 per night "Resort Charge", another way to nickel and dime their guest.”

- Been going for nine years. Great for family vacation.

“This is my 9th year at the Nugget for 4th of July. We now go with two other families. We love it and will continue. Awesome value. We actually book in January to make sure we have rooms. I would highly recommend.”

- Nothing at all.
- Poor service. Hotel out of pillows and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
“We complained to the hotel manager and they talked to us in a very ugly language. they have no idea about customer service what so ever. I would stay there if if it's for free.”

- Need complimentary coffee in room.
“Good location off freeway. Would like to see complimentary coffee in room like the Marriott. Would like to have access to a printer to get airline Boarding passes”

- Bed was comfortable, hotel was easy to get around from place to place.
- View from room was a junk yard and train track, parking was far from room.
“Hotel was easy to get to from the highway. The restaurants were expensive accept for the cafe. The casino part of the hotel was fun. I enjoyed my stay.”
