• Rather old, a few things broken.

“What I expected for price. Room was fine, though missing 1 drape (and on the first floor was not very comforting), shower head was too loose so it kept pointing in the wrong direction with no way to keep it steady. Wireless internet was nice.”

• Near a train crossing with nightly whistle blowing; noisy due to loud travelers.

• It was in a good location (right off the freeway).
• I wish the hotel had a spa they said their pool was heated but it wasn¿t.

“I really enjoyed this hotel I am likely to stay here again, I enjoyed the continental breakfast. The pool was not heated so if they tell you that it¿s not true.”

“It was obvious that this hotel is actually where people live. It was very low class, and was in the ghetto. At one point the police had to be called because there was a lady walking around with her gun drawn. We actually had two rooms booked, and we only used one, as I did not feel the other room would be appropriate for my sister, who is a single mom, and her two small children. At least I had the safety of my husband being there with me. It was an absolute miserable stay. ”

“I have family in Fresno, we were there actually for my mother's funeral, we will be returning to visit other siblings and we will stay at La Quinta again. Also your continental breakfast was excellent.”

• TV reception out 11 hours. No internet in a.m.

“Aquinas is Spanish for lower your expectations. TV signal was out from 8 p.m. To 7 a.m. Next morning, include internal hotel channel. No explanation. My impression was that they either didn't have a plan to make repairs during off hours, or were unwilling to pay overtime. Either way, guests were made to suffer.”

“We have stayed here several times and plan to return again. It is clean, inexpensive and well located. Immediately off Highway 41 and within a few blocks of the convention center makes it ideal for us.”

• The beds were very comfortable.
• Location is in a downtown area where safety might be of concern.

“Hotel is easily accessed and close to freeway. Beds are great. In as much as I am beset with allergies to tobacco smoke, I fortunately called ahead to request a non-smoking room and the desk clerk accommodated my request but with some hesitation. In addition, when we arrived we were given a room with two full beds, rather than a queen or king size bed, which we would have preferred. ”

• We liked everything about this hotel.
• We had no problems with any aspects of our stay.

“La Quinta Fresno was in a good location, had a nice clean pool that was perfect for cooling off on a hot summer day, high speed internet access, and was a terrific place to stay! Thanks!!!!”

• Real breakfast-Eggs, waffles from batter, yogurt, etc. Most places-offer some muffins, juice, coffee-call it breakfast & you go out for real food!
• Can't think of anything.

“I wasn't there very long. I stayed the night so I could go to a business meeting in the morning. The service was friendly, helpful (got directions for my meeting & set up a wake-up call for me) & had a breakfast in the lobby that saved me the time of searching for a restaurant. I am hypoglycemic and in the morning I need protein (like eggs) & can't have too much sugar. I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience.”

• They assigned us a smoking room without asking us, and then changed it on grudgingly.

“Thank goodness they had a non-smoking room available and we were able to switch after complaining, because the room they assigned us was a smoking room, it smelled absolutely awful, and I am pregnant and I could not have stayed in that room. Please add a question to your reservation form asking if you want a smoking room or not.”

• It is located in a strange place, but they have good directions.

“They did not line their trash cans with plastic, health hazard because I am a diabetic and I have to test my blood twice a day. I told them but they said that is not their policy.”

• They had run out of shampoo and I neglected to bring any.

“For business, we would return to this hotel. They were not able to give us a non smoking room and the smell was pretty bad so we used a room fragrance which helped.”

• Bad coffee with breakfast. Need more fruits.

“Easy access to HWY 41. Personal and friendly staff. Wireless internet is a plus! Breakfast in the morning could provide better coffee and more fruit, but overall good. Motel seemed clean, despite the number of guests. Keep up the good work.”

• Housekeeping is horrible. Dirty human hair in ice chest. Sheets not changed.

“Probably the worst hotel in its class I have stayed. The location is ok, but downtown Fresno, CA does not seem to be a safe place at night anyway. The housekeeping is just horrible. I first found human hairs probably picked up from the bath tub by the housekeeping staff in the ice chest, and the sheets were not changed as there was yellowish taint on both top and bottom sheets. Front desk told me there was no new sheets, and I have to get sheets from another room by myself.”

• Noise! Traffic noise and train tracks next to motel. Several trains passing noisily during the night.

“The vending machines should always work and ALWAYS be stocked with bottled water. I hate waking up every time a train would go by. Rooms and breakfast are ok. But do not make up for the loss of sleep.”

• The train station was close by. Could hear it after we went to sleep.

“The first room we had was above the swimming pool and the train noise was obvious. The second night we asked for a room away from the train and it was so much better. The breakfast was very plentiful and fun to make your own waffles. Coffee available at all times, so nice. Room clean and staff very helpful.”

• Helpfulness of front desk staff - they went the extra mile
• The surrounding area wasn't very nice, but it was very convenient to the Saroyan Theater where we attended performances.

• The are VERY CLOSE to my meeting site. The staff was friendly and they serve a free breakfast.
• It's a motel, meaning the rooms are accessible from the outside.

“If you're looking for a budget hotel in Fresno that is very close to downtown, clean and offers good value, this is the place. I've stayed there several times and I've usually saved.”

“The "motel" was located near the train tracks and right down town so the noise level was high. The rooms were small. Two pillows were left on top of the bedspread without pillowcases. There was not an exhaust fan in the bathroom and there was the smell of cigarette smoke coming from the venting system. ”
