• Good Mexican restaurant across the parking lot.
• Train one block away runs every 30 minutes, loud whistle, all night.

“Short walk to downtown government buildings. Close to freeway. I have stayed in several La Quinta Inn's which were all very nice and newer. This motel appears to be quite old. No refrigerator, microwave, etc, although they did have access to wireless internet connection.”

• It was bad!

“I was so offended for a non-smoking room, but necessity as I have very bad allergies. This room reeked of smoke, there are horrible stains on the upholstery, the room door is open to the street and the neighborhood is frightening! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone- enemies included!”

• Our Room was not fully cleaned/serviced.

“This hotel is currently undergoing a new paint job. The room was ok, yet was not thoroughly cleaned (i.e. garbage left in the drawers). The TV is set to lock out any other input, i.e. video, or a game station, thus forcing you to purchase their inadequate game system. We rented the room, all within it should be able to accommodate as such. The Hotel is Downtown, which is grimy; the only saving grace is that it's next to a freeway entrance.”

“This is a very basic in town, low cost hotel in which everything is done right! The staff was extremely friendly. Breakfast was provided and was really a cut above other "continental" breakfasts Ive had in hotels. They had freshly made yummy waffles, and an unusual number of other items to choose from. Despite the fact that this hotel was undergoing renovation, my room was spotlessly clean and quiet. This was everything I could ask for and more in a low budget stay!”

• Nice place, been there before. Only this time work was being done.
• A lot of noise from grinder on the door where I was staying. They painted the door to our room & it was tapped up.

“I have stayed at this hotel numerous times. This time, I asked for two days and only stayed one day. There was a lot of noise and paint smell, as they were painting the building. The room we stayed was being sanded down from the outside and the front door as well. Very noisy. They moved me to another room, and that room had the door handle and key slot tapped up for painting. I removed the tape when I entered, and then left for a few hours. When I returned the door was tapped up again. There was also a three foot cardboard covering the door entry. Not very happy.”

• Clean, comfortable, and affordable and a good breakfast.
• There was a group of noisy motor cycles there that week end.

“The hotel breakfast waffles were very good, also enjoyed the I hop restaurant next door. The bed was comfortable and the location was central only about 10 minutes from the Save Mart center where we attended an event. Since we had a first floor room we had a parking spot right next to our room and that was handy with our luggage. There was also a laundry Mat across the street that we used as we were on a three week road trip.”

• The location was great if you want to be downtown.
• A total business stop hotel.

“The location of the hotel was not the best. There were some loud conversations outside in the evening. The room did not have a curtain to give us privacy; only a thin see through layer. Since the walkways went right by our window, this was a little uncomfortable. It was cheap and the hotel was what I expected it would be.”

• Front staff was very pleasant.
• Ambulance sirens all night, next to train depot, Busy road out front.

“I would not recommend this hotel at a two star rating. The pool was not heated. Ambulance sirens were constant. This is a very busy part of town. In fact it is in the heart of town. Not a modern hotel. I rate this as one star hotel.”

• Its location to the workshop I attended.
• The odor of the new shower curtain. It emitted poisonous fumes.

“The breakfast that comes with the stay is excellent. There were coffee, hard boiled eggs, cereal, bananas, and pastry. The TV stations were great. The only complaint, be it a big one. Was the fumes from the cheap plastic shower curtains, and the windows would not open.”

• The hotel was clean and had a good continental breakfast.
• The bed was extremely hard and is close to train tracks, which we heard all night.

“The room was clean and the lobby is nice, but the bed was not very comfortable (extremely stiff) and there are railroad crossings nearby that trains kept blowing their horns at all through the night. The staff was very courteous though, and the continental breakfast was better than expected (fresh waffles!).”

• The hotel staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They went out their way to help myself and other guests.
• They don't have an airport shuttle.

“Minor details such as a microwave/fridge in the room and updated carpet that closes the gap between it and the base boards could afford this hotel a better image. Overall good first impression. Complimentary breakfast and wireless internet were great amenities. Hotel staff was very wonderful, 5 star for sure. In fact, I've stayed at dozens of 4 and 5 star hotels who hired less personable staff.”

• Terrible staff service, dirty smoky room. No basic supplies even when asked.

“This hotel has potential with the location, but the staff has allowed it to slide terribly. The room was heavily contaminated with smoke. The ceiling was stained by smoke and I could smell it on myself within ten minutes of being in the room. There were insects in the night. When I asked the clerk for shampoo she told me the shipment wasn't in and made no attempt to help, or direct me to an open store (it was nearly midnight). Overall, I would have likely done better at Motel 6.”

• I liked that we had instant wireless internet access.
• The beds were extremely uncomfortable. The room was just like a Motel 6. It was not worth the price they were charging.

“Overall this hotel did not meet my expectations. For the price of the rooms, and the fact that it was supposed to be a 3 star hotel, I was very disappointed. The mattresses on the beds were thin and hard. Very uncomfortable. The room was clean, but for the price I paid, I expected more. This room is exactly what I would expect to find at a Motel 6. It was definitely not a 3 star hotel.”

• The beds were very soft and comfortable.
• Every thing else but the beds. The staff was not interested in my satisfaction.

“I work out of town at a hospital. After working 12.5hr shifts and just wanted a soft bed, a hot shower and sleep. Little did I know that the hotel allows teenagers to rent rooms and party all night? It started about 10:30pm and lasted until 5am. Needless to say I got no sleep. When I told the clerk the next morning she dismisses not only me but the 3 other people waiting to tell her about the same thing.”

• The train blaring horn many times overnight.

“Desk clerk maintained his cool while I was agitated and diffused the situation well. Staff very serious about breakfast is over at 9:00 am - must happen a lot as clerk was a little surly with guests that came in after 9:00 for breakfast.”

“This hotel was in a convenient location near the Downtown area. Although it was near the train tracks, the noise did not bother us. The room was spacious and even had a reclining chair. The check in was efficient as well as the check out.”

• Rather old, a few things broken.

“What I expected for price. Room was fine, though missing 1 drape (and on the first floor was not very comforting), shower head was too loose so it kept pointing in the wrong direction with no way to keep it steady. Wireless internet was nice.”

• I wish the hotel had a spa they said their pool was heated but it wasn¿t.

“It was obvious that this hotel is actually where people live. It was very low class, and was in the ghetto. At one point the police had to be called because there was a lady walking around with her gun drawn. We actually had two rooms booked, and we only used one, as I did not feel the other room would be appropriate for my sister, who is a single mom, and her two small children. At least I had the safety of my husband being there with me. It was an absolute miserable stay. ”

• TV reception out 11 hours. No internet in a.m.

“Aquinas is Spanish for lower your expectations. TV signal was out from 8 p.m. To 7 a.m. Next morning, include internal hotel channel. No explanation. My impression was that they either didn't have a plan to make repairs during off hours, or were unwilling to pay overtime. Either way, guests were made to suffer.”

“We have stayed here several times and plan to return again. It is clean, inexpensive and well located. Immediately off Highway 41 and within a few blocks of the convention center makes it ideal for us.”
