  • Clean, friendly staff, accommodating to our needs have everything a person needs for a holiday.
  • We were on 8th floor, cleaning supply cupboard next door, staff when starting shift sometimes argued and woke us up.

  • The fitness center was well equipped with numerous Precor Ellipticals, free weights, and Nautilus machines. The pool area was inviting.
  • The only negative I can think of is that the temperature of the pools was too warm for me personally.

“The Peppermill is truly a high quality resort experience. The food we ate the various locations around the resort was excellent, although the prices were a bit higher than we would have had to pay if we had gone off-site. One addition that would be nice is to have a mini-fridge in the rooms, instead of the expensive supposed touch-sensored mini-bar. We did succumb to the convenience of purchasing a can of 100% orange juice which cost $3.75 and tasted horrible. I don't know if it was spoiled or if it is just not a good idea to buy citrus-based juice from an aluminum can. The huge pluses included the pool and work-out areas, the numerous and convenient excellent food choices at the resort, the beautiful decor throughout the hotel public and room areas, the quick and efficient valet parking staff, and man other small touches that add to the overall stay.”

  • The general ambiance was nice and clean.
  • Too smoky and locked doors in some public areas.

“In general, a very nice experience. The room could be lit a bit better, especially the bathroom. Casino area was too smoky. A Pina Colada for $9, ridiculous. Very pleasant pool area and the staff in general was very pleasant. We would stay again!”

“I was impressed with the room, very nice, just don't touch the snack tray. Someone was smoking in the hallway, and I could smell it. Dishes were left in the hallway a little too long. Other than that, It was really nice. The room was nice and had a great view. Seafood buffet was good, not great, you should do it once though.”

“Placed us in a detached building that had a poorly marked and poorly located elevator. Room was well kept and clean. All staff were rude, impatient and not helpful in the least (except those that were in a tipping position valet, bellhops). Especially bad were the reception people who were shockingly rude.”

  • Very crowded hotel. Staff
    is rude.
  • The parking, staff crowd.

“ When we arrived at the hotel the guy who suppose to take my luggages, left some of them at the car. They are very busy and treat you very fast which could cause problem. What a bad place to stay. The bellman takes 20 minutes to bring your luggages. When I wanted to check out I called the bellman and it took him around 30 minutes to come (not kidding). Also, some people said offensive words to my wife which is really bad thing. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

  • Clean, friendly, and centrally located.
  • Nothing.

“We reserved two rooms for four of us. They got exactly what we requested. (Non-smoking, two king beds in one room and one king bed in the other and adjacent to each other.) The rooms were extremely quiet from hallway traffic. Beds were pillow-top, very comfortable. Great night sleep. Large flat screen TV in room and smaller flat screen TV in bath/shower area. Would stay again.”

  • The rooms I stayed in were recently remodeled so the rooms looked new.
  • Since it was so big, it was difficult to get around because the signs were not easy to find.

“It was a good thing I only stayed one night and had the choice to upgrade my room to something nicer. The standard issue was unsatisfactory. Even the upgraded rooms had thin walls because I was woken up by people laughing in the hallway and people talking in the room next door.”

  • Nice pool, kids area and plenty of restaurants.

“Hotel is good, however not all of it is renovated. The pool did not have a close by changing room so we had to freeze getting back to the room. However it was great that they had kids area and friendly staff. Overall nice experience, but turned out to be more expensive than we expected.”

  • Behind the sink soap scum mildew in shower grout sheets stiff like they were starched.

“Nice place but not easy to go from one area to another you have to back track to get on an elevator or escolator to reach resterants to rooms to parking garage.
Must carry lugage from garage to walkway to escalotor through crowds to reach the elevators for the room towers.”

  • The bed was very comfortable.
  • No bathtub, very rude front desk staff, extremely slow.

“We had to wait half an hour to check in. The desk staff was rude and unhelpful. The check in process was painfully slow. We were also disappointed to find out the room didn't have a bathtub, just an open shower with no door or curtain. The restaurants were cheesy and overpriced so we didn't eat there.

“The casino was dark and our room was way in the back on ground level there was construction going on and it was noisy and dirty. Last year we stayed at the Atlantis and we had a great view and the food was decent.

  • Much nicer room than we expected - excellent customer service too.
  • Air conditioning.

“We were very pleasantly surprised to see such a well-appointed room in what is supposed to be the older part of the casino hotel. If this older part is so nice, we can't wait to try the newer rooms! Even in our room, it had new furnishings and extremely comfortable beds and pillows. Our only criticism is the air conditioning could not be adjusted downwards by us. We had to call maintenance, who told us that nowhere in the hotel can a guest control the temperature. Seems a bit odd and the result was that my husband was very cold, although I was fine. We will definitely stay here again; I've stayed at three other casino hotels in the area and not one came close to this one. I was very very impressed with how courteous every single one of the staff is, especially reservations and the front desk, despite their apparent youth. It tells me they have had great training and put it to good use. The best stay I've had in Reno.”

  • We ate in two of the restaurants at the Peppermill and they were wonderful!
  • No coffee pot in the room.

“We had a wonderful experience at the Peppermill. We did pay for an upgrade room when we arrived so that we would be in the new Tuscany Tower. The rooms in the Tuscany are 4 star! We were very impressed with the Biscotti restaurant and also the Steak House located at the Peppermill.”

  • My breakfast bacon was way too flabby.

“We stayed in the new Tuscany Tower, and had a beautiful room, two king beds with wonderful mattresses, and a huge flat-screen TV. The bathroom included a Jacuzzi tub, two sinks, lots of marble and tile, and another flat-screen TV. The view down to the new pool area is beautiful, even though the pool area is still under construction.”

  • The room that I upgraded to was exquisitely decorated and the service was excellent.
  • The Montego Bay building was way in the back of the hotel. Very inconvenient.

  • The hotel room was beautiful extremely well done Casino was fun BBQ Restaurant Uraunt was great!
  • Service Was Terrible! They need to get a 4 star staff to go with facility.

“The rooms were very nice I would rate them 4 star. Casino was fun and kept us playing. The BBQ Restaurant was awesome! But the service of the hotel staff and coffee shop staff left a negative mark on our stay. 8:30 am Sunday morning house keeping entered our room without a knock! Opened the door and then announced housekeeping! We were told to come back 3 times before our room was ready front desk person accused the other front desk person of not doing her job right in front of us when in fact I witnessed that person do what she was supposed to do. Bell staff very unfriendly. Coffee shop was very unorganized and unhappy doing their jobs. Valet was super efficient, friendly and professional. That Department must have a good manager!”

“The location is very good in Reno, but you do have to use your car for getting downtown Reno. We were very upset about a charge for a minibar item that we did not take. We called three different times to no avail the accounting staff did not call back two of the times and the third person would not take the charge off the charge.”

  • The rooms were spacious and well maintained.
  • Do not like the casino scene, walks were too long.

“A bright and clean hotel. The Reno casino scene was a bit overpowering, but OK if not with children, who felt out of place. The rooms were clean and newly decorated in cheesy Vegas style luxury. The hallways and walks to rooms were too long. The restaurants were good. I'd stay their again for a night.”

  • I enjoyed the convenience of nearby eating establishments and some shopping.
  • There was almost nowhere except the rooms to escape smoke when using the machines.

“I will be anxious to see the hotel after the current construction is completed, as I believe the new areas may provide more adult swimming areas and other amenities in the spa area. I would like to see some less expensive shops for more mundane purchases. Overall my 3 day stay was enjoyable.”
