“Its been bought by Hurrahs, maybe this will help update the hotel. It's dark and dreary. Not impressed by the restaurants in this hotel. Better choices at Hurrahs across the street. Lake Tahoe is beautiful, so it's easy to overlook some of the minor flaws with this hotel.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Nov 2, 2005 by

“If all you do is gamble and smoke, this is the place for you.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 12, 2005 by

“This room was no better than a very modest motel.Certainly not worthy of the price we were charged. There are other areas of Lake Tahoe much nicer than the casino area. The smoke in the hotel was awful! ” Sep 9, 2005 by
William from Phoenix, AZ
“Great location, large room with great views of Lake Tahoe. Would stay here again ....” Aug 29, 2005 by
Kent from Belleville, IL
“Hotel has a great location with all kinds of shops close by and within walking distance. The Pacific Seafood Buffet was excellent but pricey.” Aug 24, 2005 by
Tammi from Elk Grove, CA
“Nice hotel, but lack of Harvey's security completely ruined the venue.” Aug 3, 2005 by
Sarah from Oak Hill, VA
“We initially stayed in the old tower of the hotel and had a serious cleanliness issue. Expecting four-star service we spoke with the night manager who said first that it was only a three-star hotel and then that he couldn't guarantee any of the other rooms would be any better. We were able to move to the new section, but were very disappointed that such a serious cleanliness issue had been handled so disrespectfully by a manager. In the morning we spoke with the day supervisor who was aghast with our earlier treatment, apologized and upgraded us. The next night was wonderful, but we felt that the hotel should have only been rated at three stars.” Aug 1, 2005 by
Scot from Sacramento, CA
“Don't skip the Cabo Wabo Cantina.” Jun 25, 2005 by
Pam from Sunnyvale, CA
“Harvey's has a great location in Stateline, NV, with views of Lake Tahoe even from the Mountain Tower. Staff is terrific - from the check-in desk to the parking valets. On the third day of our stay we had a leak from the room above and were given the keys to a suite within minutes. Close to everything - the gondola to Heavenly Valley is two blocks away.” Jun 23, 2005 by
Dawn from Citrus Heights, CA
“The hotel and the staff were great and quickly resolved our room problem and placed us in another room immediately.” Jun 23, 2005 by
Cherie from Sparks, NV
“Our room was located in an older section of the hotel, right next to the elevator which we could hear at times. Our room was clean and very large but there were absolutely no amenities, such as a coffee pot, microwave, mini-bar or refrigerator. I think that price was great for the room and location but I know that other rooms in the property would have been more deluxe. Harvey's should not be rated a 4 star hotel.” Jun 23, 2005 by
Jennifer from Portland, OR
“This hotel is conveniently located near the Heavenly lift with shopping closeby. It has a beautiful view of the lake. There is plenty of free parking. There are many amenities in the hotel including a casino, 6 restaurants, a comedy club, Starbucks Coffee, and a health club.” Jun 7, 2005 by
Jaime from Houston, TX
“I would stay here again, but I know to ask the taxi drivers where to eat, not the hotel staff.” Jun 7, 2005 by
Renaldo from Long Beach, CA
“This is a very good hotel, with a very friendly staff, for the most part. I liked almost every aspect of the hotel;the location, cleanliness, overall service, etc. . The only exception would be the rude staff at the hotel's restaurant the "Sage Room Steak House."” Jun 5, 2005 by
Lynn from La Habra, CA
“The room was looking over the lake and the view was beautiful.” May 31, 2005 by
Jeff from Bakersfield, CA
“This is not a 4-star hotel and did not meet my expectations for what I expected. The food was overpriced, the internet connection is not free and was not working anyway, but the checkin person (who also checked me out) was excellent and very personable.” May 26, 2005 by
Kellie from Cameron Park, CA
“It was fine but a little less quality room than I'd expected. I also believe the hotel charged less than the price charged.” May 12, 2005 by
Chris from Eagan, MN
“for the money we spent I was not too impressed. rooms were nice but nothing fancy. overall the hotel could use a renovation. the room service was as good as a fine dinning restaurant.” Apr 20, 2005 by
Natalie from Brentwood, CA
“The concierge sent me two blocks down the street for wireless internet. I later found out (on my own) that they had wireless capabilities in the lobby. No one from the staff was aware. Lobby staff/concierge were rude. One god thing was that our room was close to the casino. Rooms are old and not updated and stink.” Apr 15, 2005 by
David from Vacaville, CA
“Harvey's has become the premier source for quality rooms. Specious, beautifully appointed with both walk-in shower and bath. Large, suite like accommodations. Every room has a beautiful view. Parking via valet was free and very convenient. Service with a smile must be their motto. Having stayed at all of the casino hotels during the past several years, Harvey's is a step up from the rest.” Apr 10, 2005 by
Russ from Santa Clara, CA
“The four-star room I was given was dark, old and next to the laundry room, which made noise the entire time we were there.” Apr 9, 2005 by
Sam from Pacific Grove, CA
“The casino floor layout is confusing and hard to navigate, presumably to keep you close to machines. One great restaurant (Cabo Wabo), two with staff tainted by attitude. It was odd that we had to request a coffee maker, but the front desk and housekeeping staff were unfailingly pleasant. ” Mar 28, 2005 by
Robert E. from Agoura Hills, CA
“This is the best property in the Lake Tahoe area. We have stayed there before, and will return some time in the future. ” Feb 28, 2005 by
Lori from Lafayette, CA
“Stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. Staff (housekeeping, restaurant staff, casino staff, front desk staff, clothing store staff) were very friendly and helpful. Location is very close to skiing, restaurants, shops. Casino did not smell too badly of smoke. Hotel was clean, bathrooms in casino were very clean.” Feb 20, 2005 by
Joel from Livingston, TX
“Overall, it is a nice hotel/casino. However, you have to walk from the garage to the hotel through snow and ice.” Feb 20, 2005 by
Jody from Louisville, KY
“great place to stay if you want a little of everything. gambling, food, shows, four star quality, right next to the gondola to take you up to heavenly ski resort.” Feb 19, 2005 by
Jerry from Petaluma, CA
“Once we we complained that the original room we were given was not 4 star as was promised, we were re booked in a very nice room. from then on it was a good hotel and very kid friendly” Jan 21, 2005 by
Chris from Anaheim Hills, CA
“Good location. Convenient check-in. Prompt valet parking. Great view from room. Room was clean & nicely appointed.Easy checkout via video.” Jan 19, 2005 by
Nicole from American Canyon, CA
“We really liked our experience and will be going back to Harveys soon.” Jan 3, 2005 by
Ryan C. from Virginia Beach “This hotel is the epidemic of convenience. We lacked for nothing during our stay.” Dec 22, 2004 by
Michael D. from Pacific Palisades “It seems that they always give you a smoking room regardless of request or follow-up calls after booking. Then when you tell them it must be non- smoking due to allergies...they only offer a handicap room. Smoking preference must be part of the reservation process.” Dec 3, 2004 by
Nick H. from Gilroy “This is a great place to stay for the avid skier, only a two block walk to Heavanly Valey Ski Lifts.” Dec 1, 2004 by
Carol H. from Coarsegold “We were pleased with the hotel and the pleasant employees. The room we were given was very small but it was clean and comfortable. We would recommend Harvey's to others and also the resturants were very good. I just wish our room would have been larger.” Nov 30, 2004 by
Kathy B. from Paso Robles “The staff at Harveys are outstanding. I would say the best I've encountered. Housekeeping was extremely fast when we asked for a roll away bed and when we asked for extra towels. The dinner buffet was the best I've had. The location is perfect. I'll definitely go back.” Oct 20, 2004 by
“Nice, clean, larger room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay.” Oct 14, 2004 by
“Harvey's Casino Hotel should not claim to be a four star accommodation. Their service is worse than most one star hotels I have stayed in. The service I received was very poor. The hotel had given me incorrect information on three occasions and when I went to the front desk to let them know that they are giving out false information, I was met with, well that's the way it is. And this was from the manager on duty, not a front line staff person. There was no apology, no attempt to rectify the situation, just the statement above. And then the manager just walked off, leaving me standing at the front desk. Needless to say, I was very unhappy with their treatment. I assume since Harvey's is a casino, their hotel operation is an afterthought. Needless to say, the service was horrible and there is no way they should be listed as a four star property. I plan on never returning to this hotel. It makes me wonder if other Hurrah properties are as poor.” Oct 6, 2004 by
Michael K. from Mcmurray “Nice room. Excellent cleaning/maid service.” Oct 4, 2004 by
Holly W. from Canby, OR “When we got to the room it stunk so bad. I was also in the old part of the hotel that they say had been refurbished. I followed the directions that they had gave me since I didn't know how to get there. Needless to say it, took me four hours to get there when it should have only taken two.” Sep 21, 2004 by
Jennifer S. from Rsm “Room was smaller than I though it would be but overall stay was fine.” Sep 21, 2004 by
