• Location and free dough nuts.
• Horrible beds, very noisy bath fan, faulty light switches, inconsistent shower temperature, noisy morning neighbors.

• Location, small playground for children. Free dough nuts.
• Ridiculously small hot tub for a large place. TV too small. Pool house too cold. Swimming in winter not realistic. Rooms not impressive.

“The location was great. The indoor pool is the reason I chose this place. Unfortunately the indoor area was freezing making the swimming pool unusable. The hot tub only seated 5 people. This is way too small for the size of the place. We could never get in to the tub because it was always full. I would not recommend this lodge.”

• 3 minute walk to heavenly gondola.
• Extremely dated with extremely old "mushy" beds.

“Good location. Only a 3 minute walk to heavenly gondolas. Fifty bucks got five of us in a room, but rooms are really out of date, gas wall heater and old mushy mattresses. All in all. It is what you would expect for a 1 star. A roof over your head with somewhere to lay your head.”

• The holiday lodge was the most disgusting hotel/motel I have ever stay at in the more than 20 years off travel.
• The biggest problem with the holiday lodge was it's total lack of cleanliness. during our 10 day stay my wife was the only one who cleaned the bathroom.

“The holiday lodge would get 0 stars from my family and myself. the overall lack of service and utter lack of cleanliness really disappointed us. Were all really expected much more the room we stayed in each just plain filthy and poorly maintained by it's housekeeping personnel. I don't why it is the responsibility of it guest to maintain their rooms, I've never had to do so at any other hotel or motel, just a really bad overall travel experience. I was very disappointed.”

• Had a heated indoor and outdoor pool - but dirty.
• No continental breakfast as advertised, very dirty, ice far away, dangerous area.

“I had to contact the office about the toilet not working 3 times, the bathtub stopped up with every shower, the housekeeping did not speak English at all, and there was only coffee and cocoa for the breakfast, no donuts at all, each of our 5 days there. The area was dirty and crowded, I would not recommend staying here at all, there was a fight between some teens on the street right outside our room and police activity. I guess that is what happens when you are close to a casino, so not that big of a deal, but the pool and public restrooms were very dirty, nothing was in good repair, I would not even step foot into the hot tub, for fear of a disease! - the only thing good about this hotel was the price!”

• The Hotel was in a very convenient area of south lake Tahoe, walking distances to recreation places and to the nice plaza with variety of stores.
• It was a clean good hotel but what we wanted was a small refrigerator and microwave.

“We stayed there for two nights, we got to go swimming in the indoor swimming pool and the clerks were very informative if we had any questions. It was four of us, my wife and two children's and myself, It was walking distance to Nevada. Its a good quiet place to sleep, because there is so much to do in South Lake Tahoe.”

• It was reasonably clean, and in a good location

“I would not recommend Lake Tahoe Holiday Lodge. Motel 6 is about 40% less cost, and is newer, however much farther away from the "action". This is a very basic motel. Don't expect any "extras" to speak of.”

• Sauna was broken.

“Overall good. But some facilities, like sauna and shower room, were not working. Is this common during off-season?”

“The hotel location and personnel were excellent to the downtown area of Tahoe. Very good walking location for casino's, eating, shopping. The hotel was old...clean inside, so-so outside.”

“It was awful and we did not end up staying there. The air freshener or whatever it was in the room was horrible and overpowering. We both had headaches within 15 minutes of being there. The beds were not comfortable and the amenities were not good. We were not impressed with the place at all.”

“Hotel was close to everything, advertised continental breakfast which was coffee and donut. Rooms had not enough towels, not very clean. Air conditioner didn't work.”

“Lake Tahoe Holiday Lodge in South Lake Tahoe. We stayed there over the Labor Day weekend. It's an older hotel and could use some updating but on the whole we had a pleasant stay, and was what I would have expected for a 2 star hotel. My only real complaint was the inadequate # of parking spaces available, esp. on Saturday night, when we had to park several blocks away. To be fair, we were warned of that possibility from the office staff.”
