  • We liked the cleanliness of the room and the swimming pool.
  • It was a bit noisy.

“It has a nice appearance driving up. As soon as you walk in the door you know it is a older building, you could see the restaurant and workout room from the front door. The person whom checked us in was very friendly. We really liked the room with two king sized beds with lots of pillows. The room was very clean and roomy. The swimming pool was located just outside our patio door which made our kids very happy. The pool area was very nice with towels provided and lunch served outside if we chose. The only thing that was a little bothersome was you could hear right through the walls so it was a bit noisy. We would stay at this hotel again.”

  • I liked the built in kitchen.
  • With two people in the room, there was shampoo etc. only for one.

“The hotel was easy to get to off the freeway. The room, bedding, restroom, kitchen area was clean and neat. I would have preferred having the Jacuzzi indoors (more private). Overall I was pleased, and would use this hotel in the future.”

  • No wireless internet, non operating wireless internet. Staff not professional but available.

“For a few nights stay the hotel is convenient. It is near the interstate and has the necessities. The rooms are clean and standard. The staff is younger and this is a job for them, so you often get the feeling they would rather be elsewhere, particularly when you request their help.”

“Replete with rusty water, worn and stained carpeting, leaking faucets, and a very smelly room this Red Lion should be a one star location. I've stayed in Motel 6's and Super 8's that were nicer. If this is the quality, then perhaps I'll start using Orbitz or another similar service.”

  • Free high speed Internet.
  • No business center or services.

“This hotel did not provide the services necessary for business travelers. They did not have a business center. This greatly inconvenienced me. When asked to fax some documents for me, they were faxed upside down, thus creating quite an embarrassing situation for my customer. I won't stay at Red Lion facilities again.”

  • New pillow top mattresses are great!
  • Two Red Lions are within several blocks of one another. This one did not have good signage so went to the wrong hotel.

“Enjoyed the pool although the hot tub was not completely working. Warm, but no jets. The location made for an easy access to the highway.”

  • The bed was comfortable.
  • The air conditioner was loud and the building was pretty old. I got charged twice for the room.

“For a one night stay it was nice. It's close to the freeway and wasn't that far from the Gorge Amphitheater where we saw a concert. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were nice. There wasn't any bonuses like a fridge or microwave. The building is older and the room had a very used feel. ”

  • No maintenance person when you need one

“Management is inexperienced, staff at front desk seem inexperienced as well. refuse to comp my friends room when she got locked out of her room (lock malfuntion) for 45 min. there was no maintenance person in the facility. she had to wait for one to come from home!!! it was 7am and she had her jammies on and they made her stand in the lobby!! bad news!”

  • The staff were wonderful and the buffet of Sunday was great!

  • I loved that our room had a refridgerator and microwave in it. Very important for young families.
  • The staff was extremely slow in checking people in. We waited about 45 minutes. The girl who helped us was sarcastic and not pleasant at all.

  • Very friendly, quick response and fix to the air conditioner being broken.
  • The directions should be improved when coming off of I-82. The turn is an immediate right, the sign is a bit hidden.

  • The staff at this Red Lion are exceptional. Very friendly and helpful.
  • The quality of the facility itself.

“the staff at this hotel were great. The hotel itself was a little disappointing. It was old, furniture was worn, carpets were in need of replacing, and walls had not been painted in quite some time. The pool was outstanding. Selection of landscaping produced beautiful colors that blended nicely. Hot tub was not hot however, more lukewarm.”

  • The hotel staff were friendly.
  • TV. too old and too small, room was run down, elevator in poor condition, no fitness area.

“This hotel is in need of an overhaul. I will never stay here again and I do lots of business in Yakima. On top of the poor appearance and lack of amenities, they charged me an extra $1.50 for taxes. I have never been charged tax even though it is optional.”

  • The location was fine- help were nice
  • could be cleaner- very poor lighting-

“Coffee pot was not cleaned, coffee not left, phone not plugged into wall, needed to vacuum better, Tub drain clogged- water up around ankles- notified desk- still that way next day.
Shaky elevator- really would appreciate fridge rater and microwave- frequent traveler”

“The stay at this hotel was good except when we first arrived the lady told me I must be at the wrong place because she didn't recognize my name. Once she looked through her paperwork our information was right there. When I got up in the morning to get ready for my appointment, I had the pleasure of taking a cold shower. Everything else at this hotel met my expectations.”

“This Hotel is older and the elevator smelled strongly of bug spray. Front desk staff needs training they charged me an extra fee, and were not helpful during check in procedure. I personally will not make a reservation if this is only hotel choice.”

“This Red Lion was a big disappointment: There was mold in the shower, dirty floors (bath and bedroom area), the toilet had a moldy ring at the water line, the wall paper was moldy and peeling around the window, the window was filthy and on our 3rd night there we were locked out of our room. If that wasn't bad enough when we went to the front desk to find out why we couldn't get into our room, they gave us a new key without even asking our names. The gal at the front desk didn't know either of us from any other stranger who walked through the door with one of their room keys. We just said 'The key won't open room # 000 and she made a new one'. Pretty scary security procedures.”
