• Very responsive hotel staff and clean rooms.
• Was not pleased they gave us a key to a room still occupied.

“Check in was quick and however, we were given a key to a room that was still occupied. Apparently it was suppose to be cleaned. Anyway thank god there was no one in the room when we tried. The front desk was very responsive and quickly gave us another room and a $20 for breakfast. After all was said an done the customer service and our overall experience was excellent.”

• The space was generally clean.
• For the region
  I expected a hotel of this level would be cheaper.

“The hotel was basic and clean. The rooms are not bad. The linens and bath items were nothing special. For the price you may be able to find something newer in the general area.”

• Shower and bath.
• Beds were soft saggy.

“This wasn't a three-star hotel. The beds were so soft and old that we decided to each sleep in one but the better bed ended up not made properly- making us wonder if the bottom sheet was halfway off because someone had slept in it and it hadn't been changed or whether the maids were in a hurry. The bathroom fixtures are decent but the beds and wall coverings are old and outdated.”

• It was centrally located, and very nice accommodations.
• There was mold on the shower curtain and the sink was plugged.

“We truly enjoyed our stay at the Red Lion in Yakima. The bed was very comfortable, the room had a microwave, and small refrigerator. It was lovely to be there. There were a couple things negative: mold in the shower and a plugged sink, but we were impressed with the furnishings and the comfort of the room.”

• Poor construction, paper thin walls, tired.

“I would not recommend this old Red Lion except under the most extreme circumstance. The rooms have outlived their useful lives. I could hear the breathing in the other room.”

• The hotel room amenities were very nice and very comfortable.
• I did not see an elevator (or signs to an elevator) at the wing where we stayed.

• Comfortable beds.
• Nothing.

“My wife and I stayed here with our 1 year old. Huge rooms, extremely comfortable beds, excellent outdoor facilities (2 pools and lots of lawn for kids to play on), friendly staff (the security guard drove me through the Taco Bell drive-through at 2 am because I couldn't drive myself). Overall an excellent experience and wished we stayed another night.”

• Very surprised with room decor as it was very nice.
• Would have liked to have a mini fridge/micro in room as we travel with kids.

“We had a very nice over-night stay. The rooms were great, had nice view over-looking 1 of their 2 pools. They are located close to other area restaurants/fast food options/ easy freeway access. Bathrooms were supplied with Bath & Body Works.”

• Location, pool, convenient nightclub.
• Nightclub was too loud; we could hear the music from our room.

“Very conveniently located sharing a parking lot with the convention center, the nightclub however was very loud and we could hear the thumping music from the farthest wing of the hotel. Also during the later evening there were more "undesirables" standing outside the entrance to the hotel/nightclub. When returning to the hotel after dinner we saw in the hotel's parking lot a few people drinking from the trunk of their car. We had a king room which was fairly clean with a renovated feel albeit a bit sparsely decorated with the standard Convention Center hotel accommodations. Big desk, an armchair with footrest. Our room was on the ground floor which had a small "patio" with chairs which was thoughtful however we didn't end up using them. I only killed one small cockroach in the bathroom. Next time my girlfriend and I will definitely be searching for a more romantic B&B or private hotel located in the vineyard area.”

• The room was decorated lovely. The grounds and flowers that we looked at outside our sliding glass door were beautiful. The pool was the best.
• Can't think of anything.

“This hotel was lovely. The grounds and the hanging baskets were absolutely beautiful. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The pool was the best. It was warm and sparkling clean. It was a true vacation spot to enjoy.”

• Renovated room had amenities, space and pleasant decor.
• Only negative thing: terrible coffee!

“Highly recommended. Asked for a room in the newly renovated section of the hotel (the corporate building). The room was spacious, with a nice desk and comfortable leather chair, an ottoman for reading, a hidden refrigerator and microwave and a patio. The bed was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom and shower were also updated. Quiet, wonderful stay within walking distance to wine shops, restaurants, public library, coffee shop, public art.”

• Friendly staff, easy check in.
• Need to remodel the pool, old and showing its age. It appears that they are doing some outside work (painting).

“Old hotel but they seem to be remodeling. Our room had been updated, but still felt a little rundown due to the cheap feeling carpet over the concrete slab. The room also could have been cleaned a little better, it was apparent that all surfaces had not been wiped down. The pool had tiles missing, but the grounds otherwise seemed to be well cared for. They had workers painting the exterior and they were pleasant and did not bother us (quiet).”

• The Body Shop toiletries were wonderful.
• My room did not get cleaned.

“The hotel was very clean and nice looking. My room was on the back side of the hotel- very private, with a sliding glass door to a small Patio area. The bed was very comfortable, and I loved the Body Shop toiletries. The negatives: I was there for 2 nights, and my room did not get cleaned. I could have complained, but opted not to as I had not really made a mess. Room service food was very prompt and good portion sizes, but very overpriced in my opinion. Also, be careful with your room key- mine became de-activated 3 times in the 2 days I was there! It was a royal pain because the hotel is made up of small buildings and courtyards that you cannot pass thru without your room key. So you must go around the outside of the hotel to get anywhere without your key. Each time I had to make the trek along the outside of the hotel back to the lobby to have the keys reactivated. I was told it was because of my cell phone or other credit cards, but I have never had this kind of problem before. All in all, the hotel was nice, comfortable and clean - I would stay there again.”

• From the moment we checked in we felt comfortable and relaxed.
• That we couldn't stay longer.

“The staff and the room and everything about this hotel gave us peace and comfort. They answered the phones and made every effort to make us feel like we were staying in a place that had respect for themselves and their guests. The beds were so comfortable that I had the most wonderful night of sleep I think I have ever had in a hotel. It was a fun experience.”

• The service was very poor. The heated pool was extremely cold.

“Staff needs to be more on top of things. Maintenance needs to be done. Went to lounge to get a drink and was unable to get a blended drink as the bartender said oh the blender is broken.”

• Centrally located. Good restaurants in close proximity.
• Hotel is undergoing renovations. Our room was in the pre-renovated section.

“We were given a room in the section of the hotel that was not yet renovated. While it was clean, the room was quite dated. While some rooms overlooked a pool. The building that housed our room overlooked a courtyard, which is fine, as long as there isn't a party taking place in the court yard below your room - which was the case during our stay.”

• The beds were high quality, and there were four pillows on each bed.
• Water pressure in shower was low. No Wifi instructions in room.

“The room was excellent for the rate. The room was fairly luxurious, but had no refrigerator. That would have come in handy. Parking was a little tight because of the nightclub on the property.”

“Hotel was ok for a 2 star. We usually stay in a 3 star and I thought I had requested one though maybe there were none available. I understand they are upgrading the rooms, so it should improve. Our room didn't have a mini fridge, but our friends' did. Same type of room. The service in the restaurant was good but the food delivery was very slow considering there was only one other table with people.”

• The bed was comfortable.
• It was very old! The room we stayed in was in a section not connected to the rest of the hotel. It was freezing cold inside the room.

“I would not recommend this hotel to friends. I did notice that there were high school students staying there. That was disappointing. We were told when we checked into the hotel that we could order food from the bar since the restaurant was closed. When we finished registering we went straight to the bar and it was 10:00 p.m. And they wouldn't let us order any food. I thought this was poor communication between the bar and the front desk staff. Then they charge us for our room two times. It took two phone calls to get it fixed.”

“The hotel was located right off of the highway so it was easy to access. The staff was helpful with suggestions for dining and entertainment. Finally, the room was very well kept and the bed was exceptional.”

• Let's just keep it at what I did like.

“I realize that it was a busy weekend and perhaps it was the fact that the room was at a discounted rate that we were placed in the "town house" section of the hotel. The room was less than clean and in dire need of renovation. The parking area was far exceeded by the number of cars.”

“I have stayed here in the past, but this trip was a disappointment. The room was small, not well cleaned, lights didn't work and no one came to even check on them when we called. The hotel just seemed to be in a state of repair. I hope that they can turn things around as the Red Lion used to be a quality hotel.”
