• Nice staff, clean room with better than average beds for a 1 star.

“Nice staff, very clean room that seemed to have had a recent upgrade. Good mattress! Very convenient location. I would stay there again.”

• Nothing.
• Everything-staff was not friendly or helpful, dirty hotel.

“This was an dirty rundown hotel and the staff was not helpful. I ask for extra sheet they ask me why and that I already had one on the bed. No mattress pads nothing over box springs, it was dirty on the walls & doors, carpet and furniture.

• The front desk person was very helpful.
• The towels need to be replaced. They were terrible.

“The hotel was not horrible, but it was not the best either. They need to replace their towels. Rooms are far enough from the street that road noise was not an issue. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The bathroom had been refurbished recently which was a plus.”

• We had a few issues with using the card keys.

“Decently priced for a frugal family of four, good location, clean, nice bathroom and helpful staff. All in all we were quite pleased with our stay and would probably chose this location again.”

“Hotel was average for a cheap traveler type stay. Not a tourist hotel by any means. You don't look forward to going back to this one after a long day of sightseeing. It's just a place to crash, and expensive for that.”

• The bathroom was remodeled.
• Rooms too small. Front desk clerk not helpful, wanted to argue with me about not having king rooms.

“Front desk clerk was a jerk. Wanted to argue with me about not having a king room. The clerk wouldn't just give me a double room. I had to pay extra out of pocket at a 1 star hotel. The room stunk like cleaning products. I had to air out the room so we could sleep. The beds seemed brand new but extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom was remodeled and nice. There was a refrigerator and microwave which was convenient. Overall my experience was not good and I would not recommend this hotel. We tried to save a few bucks because we just stayed at a 4 star in LA. I won't be doing that again.”

• The location was central to access to the college campus.
• At first I thought our neighbors would be a problem as they were all gathered outside the door in a large cluster, but were courteous and moved.

• It was across the street from the location of my business. Thats only reason it was so great for me.
• No hot tub.

“This hotel is no frills. Clean. And just fine for crashing. It had a clean bathtub (always important to me) and bathroom. It also had a small fridge and coffee pot. This was immensely helpful to us. As we had a conference across the street. And could brew our own coffee and stock the fridge w/our favorites. Also enjoyed the cable TV. Something I don't have at home.”

• I liked that the area was not in a bad part of town.
• We found a beetle bug crawling up the bed.

“Good location. Office staff was attentive and friendly. The carpet, kitchen area, and bathroom were clean with the exception of a beetle crawling up the bed. I attributed this to the trees that hang over the back of the hotel.”

• Good location, very clean, neutral staff.
• The mattress had springs, springing! It was a terrible bed to sleep on. No iron or ironing board!

“For a quick overnight trip, this hotel was at least very clean and conveniently located. However they need to upgrade their mattresses! Ours had springs in it that creaked and poked at us - not a restful night! The driveway is very narrow but opens to a spacious parking lot with a turn around. The rooms were clean - no closet and no iron or ironing board. I would rate this hotel higher if it added new mattresses and an iron and ironing board.”

• It was just too expensive for what we got.

“I will probably never again stay in an economy motel during the summer. I will stick to Motel 6 for the best summer deal and stay at other places during the rest of the year. I have better places for my money to go, such as, to a charity!”

• My nephew really liked the heated pool.
• The continental breakfast consisted of coffee, juice and pastries only. I expected more.

“The hotel was clean and centrally located to downtown and calpoly. We arrived an hour and a half before check-in. The front desk attendant literally ran down to ask the lady to clean our room next, which was very nice! I would stay here again.”

“Desk manager very friendly. However, we prepaid for this hotel because website said "pets welcome" (we have a small dog). On arrival, we were told "no pets". Manager allowed us to keep our dog if we paid $15.00 extra, which we did. Otherwise, we would have lost the entire amount prepaid.”

• Did not change sheets on bed. Room did not smell fresh.

“The only reason I would go back to this hotel is because it is near Calpoly, my son's school. Otherwise, I believe it is overly priced for the next to nothing amenities it provides its clients.”
