• Location and cost.
• Towels were adequate but thin and tattered. Do need replacement.

“The hotel provided a quiet room / smoke free and clean. All we needed for a restful night before beginning the next days activities. Free parking was convenient, close to our room.”

• Clean, good sized rooms, queen beds, and waffles at breakfast.

• Good location, and good breakfast.
• Only 2 pillows and 2 bath towels in room.

“Looks good when driving up, but the room was in need of sprucing up. The shower (no bath) was very small. If I dropped the soap I would have had to step out of the shower to retrieve it.”

• Waffles in morning good. Very clean. Good location of bath to sleeping area. staff helpful with noise next door.
• Door going to patio needs darker cover.

“We arrived to a friendly receptionist. Room was located on 3rd floor, but a convenient elevator was available. We had a noisy neighbor at 10:00 PM. Upon a quick call to front desk to complain, the noise ceased. Very convenient location to downtown and Cal Polly.”

• It was neat, clean, convenient, and comfortable.
• There was some banging upstairs for about an hour past midnight. Guests or maintenance, don't know.

“The hotel was great, overall. Served its purpose for a one-night stay, and offered affordable comfort. I slept very well.”

• Wonderful staff.
  Offered me a room away from the elevator if it was too noisy.
• The street noise was awful.

“Would not stay on Monterey Street at the hotel. It sounded like the cars drove through the room. Would not recommend this room for light sleepers. Use earplugs.”

• Amenable to early check-in.
• No elevator access to one wing.

“The continental breakfast was good, the room was clean and comfortable, with an ironing board, microwave, refrigerator, and hair dryer. The beds were kind of hard. If staying in a suite in the wing across the street, be aware there is no elevator.”

• Refrigerator and microwave in room and waffles for breakfast.
• The pool was green.

“Great location, good price, waffles at the continental breakfast were a very nice touch and it was a nice surprise to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room.”

• The location was great. The breakfast was expanded continental and the wireless internet.
• The pool was freezing and the hot tub way to hot.

“This is an excellent moderately priced hotel to stay in while visiting Calpoly San Luis Obispo. It is close to both Calpoly and the main shopping district. The room is comfortable and has a refrigerator and a safe, large enough for a portable computer. The staff is helpful. The pool is freezing though so plan to go to the beach to swim.”

“I had a third floor room and the elevator wasn't working. It was fixed the next morning. Everything else was fine.”

• Great location.
• Mold on bathroom walls, shower only, Mickey mouse electrical in room.

“The location was great for this hotel. The pool was freezing cold and not heated. The hot tub was maybe 85 degrees. Mold on bathroom wall in room and shower door did not close properly, shower only on tub; Mickey mouse electrical in room had to unplug TV to plug in microwave! I will not be staying here again!”

• Near a family member.
• Linens were stamped as being the property of Cottage Hospital.

“Having hospital linens on a hotel bed is unacceptable, given the number of virulent staff infections present in hospitals. I spoke to the front desk about the situation. I was told the linens would not be changed because the hotel did not change bed linen”

• The refrigerator should have been on the floor for better access.

• The wifi purported to be available in our room was not available to my computer.

“We spent very little time at the hotel. We were in town to visit family and spent most of the time with them. The hotel was quite adequate for our needs and we would likely use this hotel again.”

• Clean, new great location.
• Too few stuff, so service is too slow and not prompt.

“Great hotel. Clean, new. Great rooms, great bath and facilities. Great breakfast. Wonderful experience. Will visit again. The stuff is not that friendly (well part of the stuff, some were extremely friendly). Too few stuff person to take care of the guests needs. But overall great.”

• Absolutely nothing, the place was over priced, noisy, unfriendly and an unpleasant experience.
• I would not stay there if it were the last place on earth.

“The staff was not helpful. They did not respond to my request for towels. I finally had to go to the front desk and get them myself. The room was small. The room was noisy. The parking was difficult, too small spaces and too few that were by the rooms.”
