“The hotel is an excellent value for those traveling with a large family. Our suite was very spacious and had 2 queen beds and a sofa-bed.” May 28, 2008 by
Will from San Diego, CA
“Overall good place to stay. Close to town and in nice shopping center. The complimentary happy hour and the breakfast buffet were both excellent additions to the stay. The facility was nice and clean. The room was good sized and had a living room attached. Good sized bathroom. Would recommend it to someone.” May 15, 2008 by

“First room assigned to us had a one foot wide window facing a wall, no balcony and very dark. Upon complaining, second room had wide sliding glass door with balcony. Adjacent to big mall (Sears, Best Buy, Cost Plus) and Madonna Inn. Not walking distance to Downtown. High cost reduced by free breakfast (inc. Made to order omelets and free drinks at Happy Hour). Clean and modern lobby, rooms are dated, at least the two we saw. I'm a frequent guest at Comfort Suites; this one is a mild disappointment because of dated rooms and motion activated A/C is terrible at bedtime leaving you to bake on warm evenings. As a frequent San Luis Obispo visitor, will keep checking out other hotels but probably would return in the future mainly due to the free breakfasts and not having to spend the time to get breakfast.( a huge plus time wise.).” Nov 26, 2007 by

“We arrived and had a late check in. The staff accommodated us perfectly and informed us that we still had an hour to use to indoor swimming pool - somehow they totally read my mind! Room was very large and cozy, up to date furnishings and roomy for my 3 boys. Free breakfast was a huge bonus and made us choose this one over the quirky but famous Madonna Inn across the street. I'll be staying here every time I go to San Luis for sure!” Oct 24, 2007 by

“The hotel is nice. I did not like the fact it was located at the end of a busy mall but once you were inside you never noticed.” Aug 14, 2007 by
Lynne G. from Thousand Oaks, CA
“Bad location behind shopping center. Non-smoking room was filled with smoke. Lobby was nice. Good breakfast.” Jul 17, 2007 by
Kenneth from Patterson, CA
“The employees were very friendly and accommodating some what disappointed in the shower area. Loved the breakfast and the general layout of the facilities.” Feb 18, 2007 by
Carolyn from Henderson, NV
“Everything I had expected and more. Staff was very friendly and helpful, rooms were very clean. Happy Hour was completely complimentary as well as a nice breakfast buffet in the morning with 'made to order' omelets. I would stay there again when in the area. ” Jan 5, 2007 by

“Good for a place to stop on way to your ultimate destination.” Jan 3, 2007 by
William from Atlanta, GA
“The price of the room was augmented by the free breakfast. Our typical room service or hotel breakfast. The coffee, in particular, was excellent, which is not always the case at many hotels. The breakfast was so popular that by closing time each morning, you could not get quick service and had difficulty getting a table! So, except for one late breakfast, we ate before 8 am. The kids loved the selection and ability to get finished in less than 30 minutes each day. The indoor pool was a great source of fun for the kids when the December weather was otherwise not accommodating for outdoor swimming. The free, adjacent parking was convenient and very safe.” Sep 13, 2006 by
Jeanine from Stockton, CA
“I would say that it is OK. I probably will not stay there again. For 225.00 per night, I can find something with more personality.” Jun 28, 2006 by
Terry from Irving, TX
“Located near the south end of SLO, the hotel is easy to access, is adjacent to shopping and is a good value. Breakfast was well appointed and the cooked to order eggs is much nicer than the typical cold cereal and sweet rolls that other hotels provide. "Happy Hour" has improved here with the offering of hot snacks to accompany the complementary cocktails, beer, wine and soft drinks provided to guests. The Wednesday night wine tasting is a nice treat and I met a friendly local wine maker who I visited later in the week at his wine cellar/retail outlet. I believe it was Saturday afternoon, a portion of the atrium was set up with games, puzzles and activities for kids - a very nice touch, and it was being enjoyed by more than a few of the hotel's younger guests. The hotel restaurant and bar are very fine, friendly staff, great service and the BBQ ribs were surprisingly tasty. The hotel's pool is clean and more than adequate, but the small workout room needs a new exercise bike. Perhaps a recumbent bike would be a good idea there? The SLO Embassy Suites is now my first choice for hotel accommodations in the area and I'll be disappointed if they are booked up during my next visit.” Mar 5, 2006 by

“Everything was great just what I expected from a very nice hotel.” Hotel Representatives:
