• Outdoor space (deck, gazebo) were beautiful, free wireless internet.

“Friendly staff who went above and beyond to answer our questions about area attractions. Internet access to view/print directions. Clean, comfortable and quiet place to stay. Pool looked inviting too but we didn't have enough time to use it. buffet breakfast was fabulous!”

• Staff was always smiling and helpful, beds were excellent.
• The breakfast was not worth the cost, I've stayed at 21/2 star that offered a free breakfast that was almost as good.

• Clean, clean, clean. The staff was friendly and service stayed consistently so around the clock.
• It may not be a well kept secret much longer and a lot of travelers on my 3rd trip in a month were rather loud.

“The price was great for the service, cleanliness, comfort and amenities available. The location is wonderful, with easy access to major freeways. It is also close to the Roseville Galleria Shopping Center and a newer one which recently opened. It is easy to see why this energetic city was one of Money Magazine's recent top 100 places to live. I am highly likely to return to this hotel.”

“This hotel is in a nice, safe area with easy access to highways as well as restaurants. The staff is very friendly and had good resources that they referred me to. The hotel also has lots of things to choose from to make the stay more like home. Where else can you pick up microwave popcorn, pop it and wine and then go to your room?”

• I loved the indoor pool.
• Room didn't have a small fridge.

“The room was nice, and had an indoor pool which the kids loved. However we really needed a small fridge when traveling with young children. There was a miscommunication with the staff as well although it was resolved, it took a little while.”

• Nice workout center, hot tub and pool, the rooms were spacious and balconies with sliding glass doors are a plus when the weather is warm.
• Nothing.

“Overall a great place to stay good bang for the buck. Wireless internet in the room was a big plus! Rooms were clean, workout center and hot-tub were fairly well maintained and people were very friendly. I'd stay here again.”

• Room a bit small.

“Upon check-in, I asked for a room with two beds, and the clerk said they could not change the king bed. I said I was willing to pay an upgrade and she said okay and would check with the night auditor. Upon leaving, the bill indicated they had not charged us at all, which of course please me.”

• There was a charge of $8.95 for breakfast, could find a cheaper meal in town.

“After being put in room 128 (which was a great room), it turned out to be next to the kitchen. I was woken up by the noise and talking of the kitchen staff at 5:45 am, preparing for the breakfast buffet. When I went to the front desk to speak with them, they felt really bad, and bent over backwards to find an open room to move us into. They moved us to room 317, which was outstanding. Even though the hotel was full both nights, the staff did what they could to help us out. The only thing I didn't like was they had a price for their breakfast buffet of $8.95 per person. I could go into Roseville to one of many restaurants and find a meal equal or better than the buffet for a lower price.”

“I had called the hotel prior to arrival and spoke with the manager about getting two double beds. She claimed there was no way they could do this because their computer system wouldn't allow it. This was the only place I have ever had a problem like that.”

“This hotel was very nice. I would rate it as a 3 star not 2 1/2. The staff was friendly and the room was very clean and very spacious. It is one of the better Marriott hotels that we have stayed in. We would book this hotel again if we are in the area. It is located across from a water park and there are several good restaurants to eat at close by.”

• I loved the access to the gym and pool.
• I wanted two queen beds and was given a king bed. Staff called and said there was nothing that could be done. No restaurant on sight for dinner.

“The hotel location to Thunder Valley and shopping was very good. The only real problem I had was the room, was not two-queen beds and there were hardly no guests. I was traveling with my mother and had to sleep on a pull out bed after major surgery.”

• Loud banging doors all night, highschoolers roaming the halls.

“This was a terrible stay. I don't know how many more things could go wrong. First, before arriving - I called the day before to order a mini fridge. I'm a mother of an infant and need a fridge to store milk. I was told - no problem. I got there, and told the front desk that I had ordered a mini fridge, he said it wasn't on my reservation but that he'd order it right away. It never came. I left to go to dinner, came back and asked if they had delivered one while I was out. The guy said no, and that they were all out? I was very upset and ended up using the ice bucket and ice and constantly refilling it. Then, I went to bed at 10pm but ended up having to soothe my daughter back to sleep over and over again because the doors along the hall slam shut so loud you think everyone is leaving their rooms angry. I was completely horrified at how loud the doors were. To make matters worse, there were high scholars and/or college kids who were making noise until 1am. Walking by my door, stopping in front of it and talking. At 1am all the noise finally stopped, but only to start with the door banging at 4am when some were getting up to start their day. It was the worst stay I've had in a long time and I will be asking for my money back or at least a partial refund. I complained heavily at the front desk and all I heard for 2 days was "sorry. This was a terrible night's sleep and a very low-service-oriented hotel.”

• Good location. The staff was friendlier and met our special needs. I felt welcome.
• Rooms were not cleaned until late afternoon. This did cause us inconvenience.

“This hotel meets our needs. The staff was friendlier than in past visits. The location is great. I feel safe walking around the area to restaurants and other businesses. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean.”

• The location, the ambiance, very comfortable bed and excellent staff.
• I liked everything, no complaints.

“The Courtyard by Marriott is a very comfortable hotel to stay at. I arrived early and was able to check-in early. (which was a big help, since I had traveled over 7 hours. After I checked out and was on my way home, I realized I had forgotten a piece of jewelry in my room. The maid had found it and I received a call informing me it had been found. She deserves my thanks for her honesty. ”
