• Horrible little rooms and bathroom, cheap amenities, unfriendly staff.

“Only for the most budget travelers. The rooms and beds are very small, bathroom is tiny, the amenities in the room are cheap and make you feel like you're in a place that won't spend an extra dime on their clients' comforts. Glasses in bathroom are made of Styrofoam, beds aren't even doubles (full - slightly bigger than a single), toilet stopped up the first time we used it. The desk person was very unfriendly - wouldn't give us a 3rd key even though there were 3 of us in the room. Can I have a 3rd key? NO. Would not stay there again.”

“The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the peacefulness of it. It would be nice if they had a Jacuzzi and open all year round. It would have been nice if the bed had been more comfortable and not so hard. It was easy to find. Overall I would recommend it to travelers.”

• It had convenient location, and was economical.
• We needed 2 rooms with at least 2 double beds rather than a king size and couldn't get them.

“People were friendly as we checked in. Due to a cancellation, we were able to get one room with 2 double beds, although we needed two. The rooms were clean. The location was convenient to our event and places for dining. The area is safe.”

• Clean rooms, comfortable, quality amenities, and nice staff. Perfect for bus. Traveler.
• A little noisy but not unbearable. It is Stockton after all.

“I liked the hotel. Comfortable room with nice amenities. Perfect for the business traveler who wants to relax and get work done. It was a bit noisy with I-5 running right next to it, but takes in the Old Spaghetti Factory. Good food. Hey, you're in Stockton for gosh sakes.”

• Clean facilities, great breakfast choices, nice sized towels, clean rooms, coffee pot in room, easy access TI city.
• Honking horns, noisy freeway close to hotel which affects sleeping, lack of parking on west side of hotel.

“La Quinta, Stockton is very nice for business travelers. It is always clean and the breakfast choices are great. The staff is very nice. I stayed 2 nights and the room and linens were changed between nights, which were a surprise. The hotel's disadvantage is noise. Car door banging, horn blowing, shouting guests, and closeness to the freeway are all noise makers, to no fault of the hotel staff.”

• Quiet room this time. Breakfast, Water pressure, linens, clean room & setting.
• Parking, Business Guests blowing horn "I am up, so should everyone else!", slippery stairs when foggy or cold weather.

“My room was on the east side this time. Much more quieter. Breakfast was wonderful, as usual. The towels and soaps that are provided are great. I appreciate the strong water pressure and clean room. I also like that the heat or air stay on all night and are not controlled by the office staff. Great Job La Quinta, Stockton, CA.”

• Breakfast, coffee in room or in lobby 24 hours, easy access to freeway, clean, towels.
• Too close to highway very noisy from freeway traffic at all hours!

“Super location and price for me, a student studying all night. Need ear plugs to sleep though, very close to freeway and all the noise. Breakfast selection is great. Linens in room are nice and thick. Facility is always clean, in and out. Staff is pleasant and nice.”

“The room smelled like urine and oldness. Very outdated, the staff was not friendly. The beds were awful. There was mildew in the shower. I also got a room for my son with the same star value and location and he stayed at the courtyard Marriott down the street, on down comforters.”

“I enjoy staying here, although being close to the freeway is a bit noisy. Everything appears clean. It is nice they provide breakfast. The staff is always nice and pleasant, eager to provide help. Thanks for the stay!”

• I found the hotel to be in a great location. It provide a true family friendly environment.
• No negative comments.

“When I checked in the room was not ready, simply because we arrived two hours before check in time. The hotel did provided with instruction. All I needed to know upon my return to get my key. The external and internal environment was great. The staff was excellent and friendly. The room was in great shape. The pool areas was very clean. My family's overall stay was a 10.”

“The Stockton la Quinta doesn't look so great on the outside, but the room was clean and nice and the common area for check-in and where the breakfast was served also was nice. So, it was nice where it counted and a good value.”

“The lady at the front desk told me that a got what I paid for, because I was wondering I they can change my room because the bathroom looked dirty, there were people drinking beer outside of my door, there were all guys getting drunk, and I just wanted one bed not 2 doubles, I understand that they did not had any kings avail. But what they said to me was very rude.”

• I enjoyed the coffee pot, the big luxurious towels and the breakfast.
• It is right on the highway and very noisy.

“The hotel was very clean. The room was very nice, but I think they use too much Clorox in the wash. I broke out with a rash after drying with the towels and sleeping on the pillow case. The breakfast was outstanding. I was totally surprised to see all the different choices. The hotel cannot help that they are located on the freeway. Hopefully all guests will bring ear plugs like I did! Great job guys.”

• Original room had insufficient heating, next room a bit bettered.

“Good location, friendly staff. Heating units do not work well. I asked to be moved to another room, but required an additional blanket because the heating units weren't up to the cold weather. Excellent free wireless internet. Undersized breakfast area is a little tight for the volume of this hotel. Has a better stock on location. Convenient to freeways. Car rows restaurant, (next door) was closed due to refurbishing. Crispy crème donuts are across the street, Marie calendars within two blocks. Shopping closely.”

• The staff was very friendly.
• The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the carpet should have been vacuumed.

“The hotel is located near many restaurants, a pharmacy and gas station. We did not have to travel far for the necessities. We arrived before the check in time, and the staff rushed to get a room ready for us. We really appreciated this since we had been driving with 2 kids for about 12 hours.”

“The hotel was in a great location with easy access to the freeways and dining. The room could have been a little more modern looking with the walls being painted to make it feel cleaner. When arriving at the hotel there was long black hair in the tub, which made me feel at first that it was not cleaned properly.”

• The barking dog in the room behind us which we did report and it finally stopped about midnight I guess.

“We'd stay again, only ask if there were animals in rooms near by. The people probably left the hotel for pleasure in Stockton and left their dog all afternoon and evening.”

“Each La Quinta has exceeded my service expectations. This hotel has easy freeway access and shares a parking lot with an Old Spaghetti Factory and a Carrots for low-priced meals. There is a nice pool, ice machines with plenty of ice and a coin operated laundry. Free Internet access was easy and reliable.”

• The gal who checked us in that night about 10:30 p.m. was so friendly. I appreciate personable, friendly people.
• The lobby is not clearly marked from the outside. I drove past it by mistake.

“They need to put their name on the outside of the lobby. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast is served from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 am, what a nice amenity.”

• This motel is
  very clean!

“We stayed on the side opposite the freeway, and it was very quiet. The beds were comfortable and the room was pitch black when we shut the curtains. We slept great. The room was extremely clean! The bathroom looked brand new! The free breakfast was okay. All prepackaged stuff, bagels, danish, waffles, yogurt, but there was also coffee, juice, cereal, and fresh fruit. Just right to hold you over until lunch.”

• When I had to select two stars I was really worried about the hotel I might get. LQI exceeded my expectations.
• The way the bathroom was layed out was very cramped and the tub had a slow drain.

“This hotel is very nice and for two stars very, very nice. The room was adequate and clean, the beds were comfortable, staff was friendly, location was very convenient, and the breakfast was good! This was a real bargain for our family in our time of need! ”
