“I would recommend this hotel. I have stayed there on many occasions, both for leisure and business. I enjoy the pool and atmosphere and the cookie you get when you check in is one of the best you will ever get.” Aug 17, 2008 by
Jeff from Sacramento, CA
“Did not like the fact that I was woke up at 8 am by maintenance workers after checking in after 2 am. I was very upset and complained.” Aug 15, 2008 by
Michelle from Sacramento, CA
“My things were stolen from the room and I have yet to hear back from the hotel management. I have phoned them twice regarding this situation.” Aug 12, 2008 by
Klara from Santa Maria, CA
“Very friendly reception, clean bedding, nice restaurant, nice swimming pool. Slightly old looking, could use some upgrading and remodeling. Overall experience was very pleasant.” Aug 11, 2008 by
Rob from La Quinta, CA
“Great location for the sights in Sacramento. A huge mall across the street. Plenty of restaurants near by. Room was very nice and the Double tree cookie is always great!” Aug 10, 2008 by
Harman from San Ramon, CA
“Good clean hotel with a lot of amenities.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Rachel from Redding, CA
“Overall I like the hotel quite a bit. Very convenient and rooms are good sized and beds comfy. Bathroom very nice too, especially since the upgrades were done. Coming into room wings though could use some new paint.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Jeremiah from Irvine, CA
“Very clean and spacious rooms. The staff was friendly and professional.” Aug 4, 2008 by
Dawn from Paradise, CA
“The bed was wonderful. The room service breakfast was less then desirable. The food was cold and small portioned.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Ali from Turlock, CA
“Being a big name hotel, we expected much more from our room than what we got. We got an old, outdated room. We were staying for a romantic evening away. But the room did not create the romantic feel we were going for. This hotel is in need of updating in order to be considered a 3 star upscale.” Jul 30, 2008 by
Hagan from San Francisco, CA
“This Doubletree is just "OK". not horrible, but not "good". the building is very old, and although the staff does a good job of trying to keep it maintained, the entire hotel is way overdue for a remodel. The location of the hotel is both great and horrible at the same time. It's right next to the I-80 freeway, which is awesome, but you can't make a left turn into the hotel and you can't enter the freeway from that intersection. You have to drive 2 or 3 blocks down the road and make a U-Turn just to get to the hotel. It's very inconvenient but also very convenient at the same time, since the freeway is just right there. You just can't get to it or to the hotel!” Jul 29, 2008 by
Ronald from Dallas, OR
“Overall a good stay, nice clean room. Guest services counter staff was not too friendly. Hotel restaurant prices were too high.” Jul 25, 2008 by
Sandra from Salida, CA
“The location was great for our needs. Handicap accommodations were perfect. Pool area, bar, workout room and restaurant were very nice. The hotel I stayed in was under construction refurbishing their rooms. I honestly believe once construction is completed it will definitely be rated a 10.” Jul 24, 2008 by
Susan from Tracy, CA
“Great hotel, beds are wonderful, TV's a bit small for husband, wish internet was free - should be.” Jul 24, 2008 by
from Visalia, CA
“The warm cookies were great to be greeted with. I did not however, appreciate that I had to pay for the internet service and for the need of a second bed.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Diane from Rohnert Park, CA
“I would stay there any time, even though it was under construction. It will be really nice when done & should get a higher star rating then.” Jul 22, 2008 by
Laurie from Clovis, CA
“The bed was so comfortable. The staff was beyond helpful to me as I am wheelchair bound. The room was spotless. I highly recommend staying here. This is our second time with them and they both met and exceeded our expectations from our last visit.” Jul 18, 2008 by
Jay from Boynton Beach, FL
“The hotel was in a decent location, but it was definitely not the quality I would expect from a 3 star hotel. The hotel was very run down and dingy, definitely needs a remodel. Paint was peeling off walls, stained carpets, on one occasion I went wandering halls to find a drink machine for some bottled water, tried 3 different machines, not of which were working, so at that point I gave up. Television remote didn't work. Some of the staff was friendly, others seemed as if I was bothering them by staying there. I wouldn't say this hotel is terrible.” Jul 17, 2008 by
Bill from Colleyville, TX
“Clean hotel with nice rooms, you can tell it is an older hotel, tile in shower from 60's - avocado green.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Paul from Alameda, CA
“Pretty good location in Sacramento, CA. Near to the Arden Fair Mall. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Older hotel in need of a modernization. Otherwise, ok for the price.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Phil from Salinas, CA
“Comfortable. Staff is friendly, especially the maids. Front desk staff needs a little coaching regarding friendliness. Rooms need renovating, especially the stained and dirty carpeting. We do love the chocolate chip cookies. A nice touch.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Einar from Morgan Hill, CA
“It was a massive place. Desk clerk was not friendly, would not budge on king bed. Room was clean and up to date.” Jul 14, 2008 by
Mike from Virginia, MN
“The room was large, restaurant very good, nice pool grounds.” Jul 14, 2008 by
Nicole from Clearlake, CA
“I overall will probably stay at this hotel again because of some of the perks but it was not what I would expect of a three star hotel. The bathroom in my room was obviously not cleaned since the last person and the staff service was amazingly slow. Hopefully next time I stay there the staff will clean & stock my room accordingly.” Jul 12, 2008 by
Nancie from Miami, FL
“The hotel staff is super friendly and even gave me an upgrade to a Club Room with nice pillow top beds. They now have a new business center with 3 computers & printers which was great for me because I did not have to bring my heavy laptop and the business center is free to use. Every time I asked for a free cookie at the front desk, they handed me a large choco-chip cookie with a smile. I usually travel alone and I feel safe with this hotel and I do not have to worry at all being in the room alone. Each room has a nice balcony in which you can just sit and watch the sun go down and then take a long shower in their beautiful new bathroom. There are 4 pillows on each bed along with 2 cute square pillows that read "SWEET DREAMS" which makes you feel right at home and they also sell these pillows if you wish to buy them. They also have a great new updated exercise room which made even me actually want to walk the treadmill complete with a TV on each machine. You can't ask for anything more in this Doubletree Hilton Hotel. I never wanted to get out of bed because they are so comfortable and I did not want to leave after my 11 night stay.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Joseph from Carmichael, CA
“It was okay, no major complaints. Nothing to get excited about.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Sue from Auburn, CA
“This hotel is close to anything you would want to do or need such as a mall, store or wonderful place to eat in the Sacramento area.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Evan from Danville, CA
“I have stayed at this hotel several times. The recently redecorated rooms are a big improvement. Staff is always very accommodating and this hotel is in an excellent location.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Carole from Yucaipa, CA
“Well located in business corridor with lovely public spaces. Good restaurant service and tasty food. Our room was clean except for the soiled carpet. We would have liked a fridge and microwave for the three star rating.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Miranda from Brookings, OR
“We have stayed at the doubletree about 3 times in a 3 month period. The first 2 stays were great! This last stay, we had trouble with our room keys as well as the front desk clerk sending us to the wrong wing. We were awakened in the night by some sort of alarm that went off for several minutes, turned off and then came on again shortly after for a few seconds. There was no apology and no explanation. We were irritated as this trip we had to get up early the next morning. My husband at 4 am and I at 5 am. Our other stays with our children the rooms were bigger and our stay was wonderful.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Chad from Lodi, CA
“Great location close to restaurants and shopping. Near Cal Expo and the waterpark. Great service from the hotel staff. Loved the pool area. I would stay at this hotel again.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Donna from Sacramento, CA
“The overall stay was great. The comforter and linens are very comfortable as well as soft and cool. The entire staff was very friendly including cleaning lady and the servers at the restaurant.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Megan from Tehachapi, CA
“First, the hotel is situated with several wings, all four floors high. They put us in the second furthest wing with young children, one in a carrier and two on foot. The doors on the outside were not labeled well and I ended up climbing four flights of stairs with all three kids, it took nearly 10 minutes for my 2 year-old to make the climb while I was lugging the carrier with an 18 lb baby and my 4 year-old was running up and down the stairs and up and down the hallway. My husband had to drive all the way around back to the front of the hotel to get a cart to bring in the luggage from the lobby area. Second, the slider to the balcony wasn't kid-proof and we had our 4 year old stay at my parents in their small trailer so that he wouldn't end up climbing over the railing or letting our two year old out to slip under the railing. The little piece of wood they put under the railing wouldn't survive more than 5 minutes with my kids. And my kids are just normal, curious kids. Third, the hotel staff were disinterested at best. Not entirely helpful. Save one of the front desk attendants. Fourth, on the second night of our stay there were two false fire alarms. We discovered that the staff had already known about a faulty wire in the fire alarm system and hadn't bothered to fix it yet. The first alarm was at 11 pm with the second following at about midnight. Fifth and finally, on our way to check out of the hotel we loaded up and headed down the hall to the elevator. At the end of the hall was an orange extension cord hanging about 4 off the floor at the lowest point, I have pictures if you'd like. We had to step over the cord while we were all loaded up with our luggage and the carrier with the baby and hold our 2 year old's hand while she tried to step over it. It was someone at the bottom of the stairs on the first floor cleaning the stairs we think. But it was a serious trip/injury hazard. It would have been nice if there were luggage carts.” Jun 30, 2008 by
Kaushik from Atwater, CA
“My car got stolen from the hotel parking and there was no security available and nothing was down in regards to the complaint filed with the hotel other than it is usual here.” Jun 29, 2008 by
Carolyn from Zephyr Cove, NV
“Great location to shopping and site-seeing. Large clean rooms. Plenty of free parking and friendly staff. Would stay there again. Bathrooms should be cleaner and even had bugs.” Jun 28, 2008 by
Patsy from Chico, CA
“On a whole it was a nice hotel. Except there were a lot of kids for a function at this hotel. They were loud and had to be asked several times to quite down. This was at 11:00 at night. We had to be up early for a flight.” Jun 27, 2008 by
Jim from Placentia, CA
“This hotel was conviently located in Sacramento. It was clean and the room was easily accessible. The negative point is that Internet access was not free. A hotel of this caliber should provide its patrons with free access.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Donna from Redway, CA
“I am always very happy with this hotel. The ambience and service are excellent.” Jun 3, 2008 by
Long from San Francisco, CA “The front desk was not quite friendly as they should be.” Jun 3, 2008 by
Suzy from Austin, TX
“Pros: convenient location; free warm chocolate chip cookies at check in; reasonably friendly staff; clean sheets Cons: disgusting bathroom - the shower was covered in mildew; uncomfortable bed; shabby decor; malfunctioning thermostat.” May 29, 2008 by
Jose from Reno, NV
“Great hotel. Great location. Don't eat at the restaurants, they are way overpriced. Other than that hotel staff is great and definitely would like to stay there again.” May 28, 2008 by
Jana from Visalia, CA
“Check in was fast, friendly & helpful. When we reached our room, it was clean and very comfortable, especially the bed. The warm cookies are quite a bonus!” May 27, 2008 by

Felicia from Oakland, CA
“This hotel is going through renovations. I rented 3 rooms. The rooms were 3 star, clean, partially updated, comfortable. The mattresses, linens, and pillows were wonderful. My only complaint was that their key card system is old and outdated. They had to reset our keys 3 times.” May 27, 2008 by
Patty from Santa Rosa, CA
“Great place. We have stayed there before the remodel and was happy but the remodel is outstanding. The beds were very comfy making for a great night's sleep. The bathroom was awesome! The spacious room really is welcomed. I will definitely stay there again and again.” May 25, 2008 by
Robert from Chino, CA
“The hotel is great for business.” May 24, 2008 by
Harold from Sparks, NV
“Overall good. The facilities are older but soon to be renovated. We requested a two bed room, but we were told they were overbooked and provided a one bed room. Management did provide a roll away at no charge.” May 22, 2008 by
George from Visalia, CA
“They are in the middle of a remodel job. Looks like it will be beautiful when complete.” May 22, 2008 by
Marianne from Gualala, CA
“This hotel has determinate since the last time we stayed there. No formal dining restaurant, just cafe type. Lounge supposed to be open at 12n, and no one at hotel knew when it would open. Finally opened at 4:00 pm on all 3 days and they didn't even know how to make a very basic cocktail. Construction on front walkway. Rooms very noisy. Air conditioning on the blink in 105 degree heat and they just said they were working on it. Lasted our whole stay.” May 22, 2008 by
Brian from Las Vegas, NV
“Although there was a problem with the air-conditioning, the staff acted in a very professional manner.” Hotel Representatives:
