“I arrived very late, and the lady that checked me in was very friendly, and was able to check me into my room very quickly. The room was very clean and very affordable. I will definitely stay here again and again. I have also stayed here many times in the past. I would definitely recommend Extended stay on Harvard and Arden in Sacramento to everyone I know.”

• Room did not smell good.

“This hotel is good if you are on a budget and need a place in Sacramento near Downtown/Arden Fair/Calexpo. They are really on the economy side. Bed was pretty hard, these are efficiency suites so it had a kitchen area with stove/fridge/microwave/sink, but only one place setting of silverware was provided, no serving or cooking bowl, etc. The room appeared clean, but did not smell good. No extras in the room- if you want more than 2 pillows, a hairdryer or an extra blanket, you have to go to the desk to ask for it. Also, the lobby closes at 11pm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt fairly safe, and overall it was a positive experience.”

• Excellent use of space. Good arrangement of all components.
• If you are on foot, this is a very inconvenient location. With a car, all hotels are equal.

• Kitchenette not very clean, and not enough dishes to use.

“The front desk person was very helpful and accommodating to our needs. The rooms should be cleaned (bathroom and kitchenette). It is not comfortable to have to maneuver around another persons grime and filth.”

“When we came into room it was not clean. There were somebody's hair extensions and old coffee in the make and in a cup peoples left over food. Then the last day we stay there was a bag of drugs dropped down from the second level that almost hit my 4 year old in the head. It was crack. It was being thrown down by a 14 year old boy. He was seeing of for some reason someone was looking for some. We took it up to the office and they gave us our money back and we left. There were drug deals going on during the night and everything. The office would not call the cops. Guessing they were scarred to. He said he would have security watch and that was it. We were not going to stay.”

“I've stayed here before, but not on this side of the building. The side your room is on makes all the difference. The side facing Arden Way is very noisy all night. Hard to sleep. This room was not up to the standards of other rooms in which I have stayed, both in noisiness and maintenance. The door looked as though it had been kicked in and the furniture had been damaged.”

“The first hotel room had a terrible odor and when I contacted the front desk was told that it was new carpet, yet it was very obvious that the carpet was far from being new, I was moved to a new room yet the 2nd room also had this odor and later found out that the trash was overflowing under the sink and a used bar of soap was left in the bathroom.”

“The room was dirty, the mattress was torn all the way down the side, exposing the foam and inside of the mattress, the heat/Ac didn't work and there were people hanging out in the parking lot leaning on my car and doing what appeared to be drug sales.”

“This motel is located quite close to Sacramento's premier shopping mall. The rooms are all right, although they really need a good and thorough cleaning or replacement of mattresses, carpets, furnishings and linoleum.”

• The room was clean and well laid out with easy access to a mall and the freeway.
• Noise from the freeway, the dog next door barking, and people taking at 3 am outside my door.

“The hotel was clean, well staffed and a great value for the price. The customer service was guest friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for easy travel to downtown, shopping and dinning. My room was ideal for traveling on a budget because of the kitchen et that was fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, two burner stove and full sized fridge. The down side was the proximity to Del Paso Heights, freeway noises and rude neighbors, no pool. Over all I would stay there again.”

“Would not stay here again if I can help it. Required 2 double bed (since when is this upgrade?) which would've double the cost for the room. The uncontrolled noise of very loud Hip Hop at 3 am, and the racket all around this hotel, I will be Leary of any extended stays again.”

• It was a very central location to all the places we needed to go that weekend.
• The entrance was kind of hard to find.

“The staff was very friendly and most helpful. The mattress was VERY hard and the pillows were VERY flat. They would not fluff up. I would suggest investing in new mattresses and new pillows. I have stayed at 4 other Extended Stay Hotels have always had very comfortable mattresses and pillows.”

• The room was comfortable and clean, not worn down, and in a quiet area.
• The bed was not comfortable, TV was small.

“We just had a quick overnight stay, which is not what Extended stays are for, but the hotel room was clean and comfortable, besides the be which was too hard. Not a luxury stay by any means, but it served our purpose (staying in town overnight to catch the plane) wonderfully.”

• It had a roof and cable. Basic cable.
• Location, no amenities, no pool, hot tub, only one coffee packet, limited cable channels, no remote control. Very boring.

“This hotel is fine if you need to live away from home in a hotel thats its purpose (extended stay America). I don't think this hotel should be listed in the same category as any other hotels, b/c it's purpose is different it has a kitchen and is not designed for fun or luxury or convenience as is a Comfort Inn or Holiday Inn express. It has no business facilities, like a computer in the lobby or a pool. It's not a fun place but is probably great if you are there on business for a few weeks.”

• Carpet reeked of fabreze which made it hard to breathe.

“The employees were great. The room looked nice. Loved that it was an efficiency room. And the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I was in the front and the traffic noise was very noticeable. But when I requested a downstairs room, the girl at the desk was so nice and I appreciated it. They make you pay for high speed which most places do not now. Other than that, I would use it as an option especially if my stay was for more than one or two nights. For one night I would rather have had a different hotel.”

• Heater malfunctioned, made room painfully hot.

“The room was miserable because the heater didn't work properly and seriously overheated the room, making it very difficult to sleep. The maintenance guy was gone, so no help with the heater. Maids were gone, so no other rooms were cleaned. We had three people, and they only had one room we could use. The desk clerk was very apologetic that the only room available had a heater that might not work, and the room might get cold. It was 9:00pm Christmas night, had no choice but to go ahead and take the room. It was too late to go driving around and find another hotel, so I was forced to take a chance and accept the room. To make up for the possible heater problem, he didn't charge me for our third person, also he gave me extra blankets.”

• I liked that it was quiet.
• Cleaning my own room, not toiletries provided.

“Great for someone who wants to stay for awhile? TV is very small, beds are short, but were ok for a couple of nights. Kitchenette was ok, but had to buy your own scrubbier and soap to clean your own dishes. Maid service is extra $10.00 a day, so we did it ourselves. We asked for extra hangers, soap and it was not available, they told us we could go buy it. Overall it was ok. Wouldn't book it in future.”

• Has a kitchen, and has been recently remodeled. Looks very nice.
• Bed was hard, TV small, channels limited, bugs in room. Price to high.

“Due to the renovations in the kitchen and bathroom, I was very pleased with the look. It looked just like a little apartment and functioned as such. I would stay here again, but bring my foam mattress top. The bed was painfully hard and although the room had a recliner. It was very run down and uncomfortable. I would have been content with this room if it was cheaper. The thing that I noticed the most, were the bugs. I found 3+ battles on the floor throughout my stay there. And I awoke 2 on the hardwood floor in the kitchen, flipped and just spinning on their backs. Just thought it was odd 'cause I wondered where they came from.”

• Closed the front office early. Not having shared computer (internet) in the front desk office.

“I did not like at all the fact I had to sign a form that has no amount but only my name with my credit card number embossed on it. The reason I was given was to charge my account if anything is damaged or missing in a room. When I asked the front desk to check the room for any thing missing and give me back the blank form I signed no body was willing. This could be put unsuspecting guest in greater danger. Bad, bad & dangerous for the public who stays there.”

• 24 Hour Fitness gym only 2.5 miles away (I have a 24 Hour Fitness all clubs membership).
• Security guard was rude during my midnight (late arrival) check in process.

“The location was good, the room was nice, however there were half a dozen moths flying around the room which took away from my stay.”

“The most foul dirty and disgusting place I have ever stayed. The toilets actually had diarrhea/vomit on them and the housekeeper in the hallway would not clean it. Cigarette burns in the ceiling and floor. Never would I stay here again, even for free!”
