“Quiet, comfortable, and conveniently located, this hotel is perfect for any occassion. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and well lit, and despite being adjacent to two major hospitals, it was very quiet.”

• Pretty convenient to the freeways and right across from the hospital.
• Nothing other than fast food in the immediate area.

“This is a decent hotel. Its location near the freeway is a plus and the room was adequate. It’s also right across the street from the hospital. Other than the food at the hotel there is nothing in the immediate area except for a Jack in the Box. Good overall experience.”

• Very convenient location to the hospital we were at.
• The room did not have a refrigerator and had an old smell but not bad.

“We were very pleased with everything about the hotel especially the location to UC Davis Med Center. Unfortunately though the neighborhood is not the greatest so we did not feel safe to walk around at night.”

• It was very clean and comfortable.
• Breakfast was not included in the price.

“This hotel is very clean and the staff was responsive. The beds were comfortable. It was not in a very convenient part of town, but was definitely worth the price.”

• The room and the lobby were very nicely appointed.

“The hotel was very nice but the location wasn't great. We arrived late and asked where we could get some items, food, wine etc. The front desk directed us two blocks down the road. We asked if it was okay to walk and was told yes. We strolled out in the dark with our kids to discover that it was completely inappropriate to point guests (let alone a family) down the street at night in that neighborhood. We returned to the hotel safe but very angry. Other staff experiences (in the restaurant) were outstanding.”

• Not being able to get in every time I go to Sacramento.

• Mistake checking in, little hard to find, area was bad.

“Staff checked my children and me into a room that was occupied. I used my key to open the door to find two people coming at me in surprise. I'm very lucky those people didn't have a gun, I could have been shot and my kids could have been too. I truly don't understand how this could happen. This room should have shown occupied in the computer. Plus 2 keys were already out, and they gave me 2 more.”

“Staff was friendly. I was in town for relocation purposes, and the restaurant manager gave me excellent advice! Room was nice and big with comfortable beds. Good desk and easy to use internet (no additional fees or other problems). Also has a great business center and restaurant. I was quite surprised at how much I loved the two dinners I had there. The location was also close enough to the highway and other areas of town that I was interested in exploring.”

• The walls are paper thin. No breakfast. Not in the downtown area, like I had selected when requesting a hotel.

“The walls are paper thin at this hotel. I was given a room next to a baby that wouldn't stop crying. The staff was very friendly and moved me to another room on the top floor. That room was a little better, but for some reason my ceiling vibrated and I had to listen to the sound of my ceiling light vibrating and my windows vibrating all night long. Not a great experience. In addition, I had requested a hotel in downtown Sacramento and was given this hotel which is 3.5 miles from downtown. Not the most convenient location. Also, they don't have continental breakfast.”

• The hotel is very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced.
• This hotel is not within walking distance of nearby restaurants, shops, etc.

“My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a wedding in Sacramento, and we felt that the hotel itself was very nice, clean and comfortable. We didn't have a chance to utilize the pool, but it definitely looked inviting. This hotel is very business traveler friendly, but I would not necessarily recommend it for families. Also, although it was not very convenient to Downtown attractions, shops and restaurants the pleasant hotel staff and the nice accommodations made up for it.”

• Not even the basic amenities and indifferent staff.

“We could not get any food in the hotel at noon on Sunday when we arrived (Memorial Day weekend) and restaurants were all driving distance. The outside newspaper machine was empty and they did not have a paper available for guests. Could not buy a cup of coffee and staff was indifferent and not helpful at all. They did not have anything we requested and it was the overall worst stay in years for us.”

• Lobby design was nice.
• Front desk was rude, only gave us 1 key, didn't ask us 1 bed or two.

“Front desk lady was rude and didn't even ask us if we wanted 1 king bed or 2 regular beds, just gave us the 2 bed when we'd have preferred 1 bed. She only gave us 1 key as well when normally you get two at every other motel, hotel, and even bed & breakfast.”

“Management staff was helpful in advising how to get around the neighborhood safety. The desk staff had problem finding my reservation for the second day. This was confusing since I'd talked about a two night stay when I initially checked in.”

“It was a nice hotel but when I selected downtown I was not intending on having to get back on the freeway and drive several exits from 'downtown' to find the hotel. During rush hour this 'little' diversion took 25 minutes. Hotel was nice.”

“Nice hotel, well maintained, well staffed, and a great value. It is located by the Shriners Hospital for Children at the UC Davis Med Center in Sacramento which isn't exactly what most people consider midtown. It isn't exactly close to any of the Sacramento attractions, and my be difficult to get to unless you are an expert in how Sacramento is laid out. Otherwise it would be great for business travelers, but less than ideal for pleasure travelers.”

• Desk staff was very supportive and friendly.
• Not Safe! Our car was damaged and burglarized.

“The hotel facility was very nice. However, the location was unacceptable. It was in a very dangerous neighborhood. The window to our car was broken and items were removed. We have suffered a large monetary loss. In addition I did not feel safe in the neighborhood. Not even safe enough to walk to my car alone at night. We are very disappointed with this experience.”
