• The location was excellent, food & service excellent.
• The carpet in my room was dirty in one corner of the room near the bed.

• Nice facilities including the a gym.
• I cannot believe that a hotel like this charges you for internet service. You can't even use their computers in their business center without paying.

• Extremely clean, beautiful room, and friendly staff.
• Noisy. Young ladies next door who partied all night.

“This is a beautiful, modern hotel with large lobby areas. The bartender on staff was very friendly, providing us with cheaper sodas than the mini-bar $4 rate. Unfortunately, this Saturday proved to be very busy with weddings, and the two young women in the adjoining room returned at 2 a.m. and continued talking and laughing until they left the room for breakfast at 7:30 a.m. We got very little good sleep. The front desk said they'd send security up, but the noise continued. And there was absolutely no ice in the ice machine on our floor at 7 p.m.”

• The hotel had recently been updated. Beautiful rooms, great bathroom.

• The valet seemed a little overwhelmed.

“The bar staff, bell staff and front desk were all very professional, courteous and efficient, it was a pleasure to speak with them. The hotel room was very spacious and well furnished. I loved the hotel.”

• Great location, awesome staff, classy public areas.
• Beds were good, but other furnishings a bit worn.

“Very nice building and unbeatable Sacramento location, across the street from the Capitol. Right between downtown and Midtown. Front door staff were impeccable, always there to welcome you with an open door. Visitors were able to leave a car in front for a while for free. Front desk folks were great and generous with coupons. Classy lobby and hallways, but room furnishings such as chairs and table were a bit threadbare. Bed was good, though, and bathrooms was nice.”

• I liked the clean rooms and bathroom!
• I didn't like that I had to pay extra for parking.

“The Hyatt is a gorgeous hotel right across from the capital building. The rooms are clean and attractive, and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms were plenty spacious also. The restaurant (breakfast) was also great, and the service was excellent!”

• Consistently good visits.
• Rooms and bathroom need some modernizing, TV and/or bed should be relocated.

“This Hyatt is the best hotel in Downtown Sacramento. Staff is always very courteous and helpful. Breakfast while somewhat expensive is always well prepared, generous portions, easy to get substitutions, and excellent service. Hotel is well located in respect to local attractions and restaurants.”

• The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.
• Room was nothing special-beds were comfortable but everything else was standard.

“The lobby was impressive - large and very nice. The rooms left some to be desired. Very basic hotel room - nothing special. Newer linens and beds but the TV was small with not very many channels and the bathroom was nothing special either.”

• It was like clockwork. There were no snags.

“We were charged for something we did not buy at the gift shop. They were very gracious and removed the charge at once. We didn't have time to eat at the hotel or experience other amenities but our stay was very enjoyable. We will probably stay there again.”

• The hotel operator could use some improvement in dealing with incoming calls to guests.

• The entry way is open and spacious and the people are friendly.

“The room was spacious. The room had an old time air conditioner with two speeds; on and off! The valet parking, which is almost forced upon you because street parking is limited, is $25 per night. Cocktails in the bar are $10 each. They are charging like a four seasons and the accommodations are moderate. The hotel was clean, safe and the staff was friendly.”

• The bed was comfortable and very modern.
• The bathroom could use some updating. Does not match the modern feel of the room.

“The hotel rooms far exceeded my expectations. It was very roomy and clean. It was perfect for the overnight getaway with my husband. It is centrally located near several restaurants and nightclubs.”

• Comfortable bed with a nice view and convenient to restaurants and theaters.
• Charging for parking, internet and the grout in the bath tile was getting moldy.

“Would have been a lot nicer if they had not nickel and dimmed us for things like parking on the premises and use of the internet. Lesser hotels include both of these things in the price of staying with them. Poor practice for such a prestigious name as Hyatt Regency.”

• Friendly staff made us feel comfortable; my grandson loved the unexpected workout room.
• When the sun shown on it the sliding glass window was not clean, in fact very not clean. Ruined the perfection.

• The room service, very timely.
• Bellhop didn't mail a UPS box we left with him, we tipped him, too.

“This is a great hotel for access to downtown Sacramento. The capitol, the river and Sutter's Fort is close. We went for the CA state fair, and it was located near Business 80 and Cal Expo. The room had a cute balcony, a nice view of the pool and great room service. Very handy with a 3 year old.”

• I was in Sacramento to have surgery and was looking for a place with comfy beds and good service and this hotel had that and more.
• I did not like the $17 a night parking fee.

“I will stay here again when I have my next eye surgery in about 6 to 12 weeks.”

• The hotel had an amazing view of the capital building. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
• The types of food in the restaurants. It made it hard to find something to eat.

“This hotel was amazing other than the types of food they served which made it hard for a picky eater, everything was amazing! The views were spectacular!”

• The beds were so comfortable, I slept like a baby. Staff was excellent!
• Self park was $17 - valet parking was $25.
