  • The hotel was conveniently located to the Railroad Museum and Old Sacramento.
  • The hotel room decor wasn't up to date.

“One night at the Governors Inn Hotel was good for my family and I. At the time we were there, the Hotel was going through a remodel. The first and third floors were closed due to the remodel. Upon arrival at the front desk, I requested two queen sized beds. I was happy that she was able to locate a room w/ our needs. Our hotel room was very clean, although the decor and carpets were old fashioned. Fortunately, I prefer a clean room over an old fashion style room. So I'm not complaining. We just stayed there for one night so it wasn't a bad deal at all.”

  • Nothing. it was noisy, smelly, and unsafe.
  • In addition it was covered everywhere with construction plastic and workers.

“Shame on them for doing business during such a major reconstruction project. I would not have stayed there except for the long awaited family reunion. I had no time to look for other lodging. It was barely skirting the location I requested. The area was right off of the freeway and a bit sleazy.”

  • Potential for being attractive.
  • Under construction in the lobby area. Confusing route from elevators to lobby/breakfast area.

“Rooms were very spacious and clean. Staff was very polite and friendly. Pool was small and clean, but was constantly in the shade all day long. Good for some, I guess, but was too cold to sit in the shade. I would definitely stay again - after construction complete.”

  • The staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were immaculate.
  • Not close to activities-need transportation.

“As I shared with the desk agents and assistant manager, the stay was great, beds were very firm and comfortable. They had a breakfast service, and overall friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend to people who want a clean, comfortable and quiet stay away from home. As a reminder, if you desire to go places, a car or area land transport.”

  • Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, fairly quiet.
  • Not sure about security, since lots of foot traffic outside of hotel, no lockout after hours.

“Great location for business travelers, close to downtown and major highways; clean, comfortable, friendly staff. Adequate breakfast bar and hospitality hour set-up. It was quiet during my stay, which is important.”

  • Nothing at all.
  • The internet does not work, I could not do my business.

“There were a lot of people complaining about internet connection, when you are a business traveler you need internet to do your business, this hotel is not a 3 star as you said, maybe a little above 1 star, its in a bad area of town, many beggars and homeless people on every corner, was scared to go out after dark.”
