• Rooms were nice, great happy hour, great location for entertainment shops etc.
• Pool had to be closed for poor water quality.

• The ceilings on the top floor were really high.
• The bed was slightly lumpy.

“Surprisingly good. One exit away on I5 from downtown Sacramento. Clean, comfortable, and with high ceilings on the top floor. The people working there were really nice. There is a restaurant/bar with people hanging out. It seems to be a very popular hotel. The room had a microwave and a refrigerator!”

• Clean, great breakfast buffet, staff was very helpful
• Not much selection for restaurants nearby

“My stay was great. Exactly what I needed to take care of business. Gigantic clean room and the breakfast buffet was superb- excellant coffee. The only drawback was a number of prommissing resaurants nearby were closed or out of business. The two reamaining were excellant, but you will run out of choices if staying more than two nights without a car.”

• Staff extended themselves in providing comfort and amenities.
• Found some hair on bathroom floor. Otherwise, everything else was clean.

“Staff was more than welcoming. They truly understood our needs. They were able to upgrade us to a suite, considering we had 2 young children. The woman we checked in with even went so far as to personally bring us keys to the suite as we were vacating the initial room. My husband travels extensively on business, and he commented that he had never encountered friendlier staff.”

“The complimentary breakfast buffet and the evening reception made this hotel a great for traveling families. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice, clean and roomy. My only complaint is the a/c in our room did not cool the room but made it humid and uncomfortable. The pool and spa facilities helped cool us off, though! We had a great stay!”

• The night shift people were very friendly. The rooms were big and clean. We would stay here again.
• The morning shift people were not as friendly. No one say good morning or thank you, when we were leaving.

“Clean hotel and good value for the money. Unfortunately the bed in my room was so worn that one side had a significant sag in the mattress. The other potential problem is that the location is in an industrial area and travel to and from the hotel to appointments/sights/restaurants can be difficult in commuter traffic.”

• The staff were great, We were lost and the staff directed us with so much patience and concern, We really appreciated their kindness.
• The hotel should have better lighting were it has it signs, because we could not see the Knight Inn sign and we were lost and driving in a busy city.

“I would like to thank the staff who directed us in getting to the hotel, even though I was stressing out and tired and completely lost, the staff at this hotel directed us. But it was us who would take the wrong road, but they continued to have a calm voice and redirected us all the way, that as we were pulling into the exit of the freeway, they were at the window of the hotel waving us down to let us know that it was there, and this is about a 1/2 block away and it sure felt good to see that, We really feel that it starts at the beginning of the stay and we are very happy.. and the hotel was clean and we had a refrigerator.. We need a refrigerator for the kids milk.. and we are very satisfy at there dedication and goodness to help.”

“The hotel is nice. However when we checked in the room was very big; but wasn't cleaned at all from whoever stayed before. So then we were given a much smaller room. To me that was very unprofessional to be sent to a dirty room.”

• Beautifully decorated large room, felt like a huge apartment! Comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, wish all hotels were like this one!
• Can't think of a thing, and that says a lot since we travel a lot. Wish I knew about this place a long time ago!

“This hotel was a wonderful surprise. The room was so beautifully decorated, we had a very comfortable king size bed and comfy pillows, too. The complimentary free buffet breakfast was awesome. We will be staying there every time we go to the Sacramento area if possible and we will highly recommend it to friends and family.”

• Room and hallways smelled; bathrooms has mold on the shower curtains; breakfast wasn't very fresh.

“They have tried to create an environment of comfort without paying attention to the specifics (extreme cleanliness, smells good throughout the hallways and room). Beds were bouncy and pillows felt as if they were the rubber ones. On the other hand, the staff were great. If management could do some minor upgrades, this hotel could be a good one.”

“It was 110 degrees and the AC did not cool this room, we channeled the cool air directly on us with a magazine. The toilet ran all the time and I think the best was all the lights/lamps that worked were powered w/florescent bulbs. Gave it a horrible mood in the room. I would not have taken a bath in the tub --old and stained. 1 ply toilet paper--the siding on the hotel is rotting off. I would have moved except we used the "name your price" and did not want to lose my money. I arranged rooms for the same or lesser price for my family at the holiday inn capitol--gorgeous, clean and upscale rooms. Honestly, I've stayed in better rooms i.e. motel 6 years & years ago. This hotel should be reviewed, it is awful!!!”

• I had a ground floor room. Laundry svc available.
• People at pool were drinking too much alcohol, made unsuitable to be at pool. Older perky men.

“The hotel is older, my hallway smelled of smoke even though it was non-smoking. Pillows need to be replaced. Food was less than marginal. The room had poor lighting, but it did have a fridge. I only needed a smaller room, too much furniture on one side of room. The dresser was too small for the room if a family were to stay. TV was too small for room as well. Overall it was ok but I would rate it less than 2.5 just for overall. Amenities such as pool were not adequate, allowed perky type older men to hang out. My daughter and I felt odd and made for an uncomfortable stay. It was hot and pool was best choice to enjoy our stay. For the money it should have been better or should have been at least $50 less.”

“Was given a smoking room; nothing else available. Pretty much take it or leave it - after all I had already paid. No compensation offered at the front desk. Looks like an apartment complex; made up of several buildings. Not the safest of neighborhoods (typical of neighborhoods NEAR downtown but not right downtown).”

• The boiler broke, no hot showers available, no compensation offered, only their apologies.

“It was a Ramada Limited motel. I need to pass on my feedback that the room at Ramada Limited, Rohnert Park, CA was not acceptable, the carpet was questionable and facilities were not acceptable for a one-star. It should not have a one-star rating despite its name. More like a flea pit motel!”

“This place was perfect for me. The room had a kitchenette - large bath - comfortable bed - nice updated decoration and was fairly quiet. The price was amazing and the staff completely helpful and friendly. The only drawback was that as a woman traveling alone I wasn't totally comfy with the neighborhood - not bad just a lot of action - and the parking lot for the hotel didn't feel completely safe.”

“My husband and I found the Hawthorne Suites very comfortable even if we did only stay overnight. The use of the refrigerator was quite helpful for my husband's insulin. The breakfast buffet meant that we didn't have to spend extra money at the restaurant across the street or go outside since it was raining. It was a great breakfast that we enjoyed eating.”
