“I love this hotel. The room was clean I liked the food. I recommend it for people who want a nice hotel for a good price.” Aug 20, 2008 by
Bruce from Bainbridge Island, WA
“This hotel is located on the outskirts of Klamath Falls and is failing to do routine maintenance resulting in a shabby look in public areas. The rooms are ok - at the lowest end of what one would expect for a 2 star hotel.” Aug 15, 2008 by
Barbara from Medford, OR
“I live in Medford, Or and the Red Lion here is a top hotel, location and facilities. This one in K. Falls hurts the reputation of the chain, it is really poor.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Jan from Salem, OR
“All in all it met our expectations for the price. The motel is old, but it had new mattresses, bedding and furnishing, so that helped. The pool was warm and nice for the kids, but it took constant asking from guests to get the staff to open it. The continental breakfast was set up in the former restaurant which provided lots of space. However, because we walked into a restaurant, it kind of increased our expectations.” Jul 12, 2008 by
Athena from Beaverton, OR
“We ride motorcycles and we were giving a ground floor room that was close to the pool and within view of our bikes. The staff was exceptionally nice and the room was clean and well appointed. It looks like our room had been updated within the last few years. Most importantly, the beds very comfortable. The pool and hot tub we very clean and the pool area offered tables and lounges for the guest. There are a few limited hour restaurants within walking distance. However, this hotel does not have a family restaurants associated with it and they do not serve a continental breakfast.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Marybeth from Santa Rosa, CA
“The hotel is directly across from the fairgrounds, a few miles from the more appealing historic Downtown area. The exterior of the facility is dreadful - old, dirty, peeling paint, rusty pool lounges; it couldn't be much worse. However, in complete contrast, our room itself was recently remodeled, and was clean and nicely appointed with new furniture.” Jun 9, 2008 by
Beth from Peshastin, WA
“Comfortable, convenient, clean!” Jun 1, 2008 by
Brad from Hillsboro, OR
“Overall nice place with comfortable bed, remodeled but appears they reused some of the doors without refinishing. Would be nice if they had a continental breakfast with no restaurant closes.” May 27, 2008 by
Kristi from Beaver, OR
“Decent hotel, ok for business travel.” May 14, 2008 by
Nancy from Milwaukie, OR
“This clean and neatly remodeled hotel is directly across from the county fairgrounds. It is set back from the highway, so the road noise is minimal. There is no in-house breakfast available.” May 8, 2008 by
Trent from Veneta, OR
“The hotel wasnt bad for a place to sleep and relax. It doesn't offer any extra incentaves other then that, But I would probibly stay again.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Joe from Eugene, OR
“I would not recommend staying here if you can help it. They show that they have a restaurant and lounge on site however it has been closed down and they do not divulge that to their customers prior to booking. Also the grounds are in disrepair.” Mar 17, 2008 by
Tania from Roseburg, OR
“The remodeling is nice, but there are a few items that need to be completed. The comfort of the rooms and the service from the staff far exceeded our expectations. The staff went out of the way to accommodate us as we were in town on a family emergency.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Troy from Phoenix, OR
“An okay Red Lion, older but they are in the middle of a remodel, our first room was nice, the remodel crew was working upstairs and during the day all we heard was there music blaring! Plus the TV didn't work, they sent staff over to fix it as we were out. Got back and the TV still didn't work, had to call the front desk to find out they were moving us to another room. the second room was just as nice but the bathroom wasn't finished, 2 different tiles in the shower, parts of old tile broke away. when showering you could tell that the room was at one time a smoking room. (once the old tile got warm from the steam) overall, it was okay. But as the rooms are now I wouldn't go back if the remodel gets done I might go back.” Jan 25, 2008 by

“It's not easy finding a nice place to stay in this area, so to be able to get a great hotel with a decent price was probably the best thing that could happen. It was clean, quiet, loved the bathroom soaps, the staff was friendly. All in all a very good stay.” Nov 27, 2007 by
Donna from Pahrump, NV
“We stayed at the Red Lion after hearing it was remodeled and updated. It did have new furniture and carpeting. They had also updated the showers with a great shower head. However, the mattresses were not that new nor were the pillows. Overall, it was very pleasant, good size and as much and more then I anticipated. Good job.” Nov 15, 2007 by
Brenda from Auburn, CA
“The hotel was a pleasant place to stay for the price. It was comfortable, easily accessible, and employees were courteous. There was not a breakfast of any kind but there were restaurants close by.” Nov 7, 2007 by
Catherine from Bandon, OR
“Very nice hotel but could use more for the price. Such as breakfast, restaurant coupon or snacks.” Oct 16, 2007 by
Nancy from Langlois, OR
“Once this motel is done remodeling, the rooms will be quite nice. Unfortunately, the rooms are now in the state of remodeling with wallpaper half torn off the walls; paint marred, etc. Guests should be told before booking that this is the current condition of the rooms.” Oct 8, 2007 by
Larry from Mariposa, CA
“Motel rooms were very spacious and the bathrooms were large. The beds were comfortable and plenty of room around them. There was plenty of storage space and drawers. The microwave and refrigerator was very convenient. The hotel service was very helpful. The heaters were not working but were repaired promptly. Overall a very pleasant experience and would stay here again.” Sep 25, 2007 by
Monojit from Belmont, CA
“There is nothing that I liked at the red lion inn. The only positive thing about the hotel was that the rooms were decently clean. Otherwise, the facility was really old and run down. The pillows were a ball of shapeless cotton. Very uncomfortable to sleep on. The breakfast served (that was included in the room cost) was a big joke. A few packed bagels, yogurt, and apples kept on a small table. There were no disposable plates to take whatever few things were kept over there. If I were to come to Klamath falls again, I would not stay in this hotel again.” Sep 6, 2007 by
Veronique M. from Plougastel GB
“Good look, space full, comfort, seems to be high luxe resort but lack of cleanliness - smell, dust, untidy floor - and staff who doesn't want to be disturb by customers - wait at the lobby, refill coffee devise, smile - Even not a question concerning our stay.” Aug 1, 2007 by
Stuart from Portland, OR
“The hotel was undergoing a remodeling effort. When we arrived the water was off to our room, no toilet flush, no sink, no shower. I was told over the phone before checking in that there was a high-speed internet modem connection in the room. This was not the case. There was a slow 11mbps wireless connection that was throttled to the point of virtual un-usability. The air conditioning unit cover was lying on the floor and several knobs were missing. The carpet wasn't completely cleaned and both bed mattresses were fairly worn out (springs uncomfortable and uneven). The continental breakfast was poor and they were out of both cream cheese (for the bagels), plastic knives, and fruit spread (the only other option for the bagels) all by 8:45. No effort was made to restock. The hotel did not live up to expectations even for a 2star.” Jul 17, 2007 by
Mark from Sacramento, CA
“This place must have been pretty nice back in 1982 or so. This was our first stay in Klamath Falls, overall every hotel we saw looked pretty run down (the Best Western looked the best). Check-in was prompt, the staff was friendly. It's a pretty large property, so I drove from the lobby to our room. In the middle of the parking lot was a 25 foot high pile of old furniture and bedding. In the middle of the walkway to our room there was a floor level's worth pile of dirty linens. Ugh. Our door looked like it hadn't been painted in a decade and had adhesive resin and a stain all over it. The room itself was fairly clean. There was a little mold in the shower, but nothing horrible. The air conditioner struggled to make a difference in the 97 degree Klamath Falls heat. They did have really nice bath and body works soap and shampoo. The pool fence was broken in several places, with yellow caution tape strung up to prevent stepping through the gaps. While we were swimming (around 8pm) several teenage boys showed up who were NOT guests at the hotel (I heard them talking to their friend on staff, she told them to "Keep it down, don't be obnoxious"). These boys kept swimming until after 11pm (the pool closes at 10pm). Normally the amount of noise would've kept me up, but thankfully I was able to sleep because I was so exhausted from driving. Our one night stay was ok. There were no bugs. That's about as nice a thing as I can say about the Red Lion. This is definitely not a 2 star hotel.” Jul 16, 2007 by
Lynn from Helena, MT
“Compared to other motels that trip, it was the cleanest and most reasonable.” Jul 4, 2007 by
Ron from Waldport, OR
“Could not book king smoking. In past, front desk has always made our room change for us except this time we were told by night auditor because he could not move us from a dbl queen nonsmoking to a king smoking, we got what we bought and paid for.” Jun 30, 2007 by
Bob from Portland, OR
“At check in the receptionist was rude. The bed wasn't made very well. The coffee pot wasn't cleaned. My room door was left ajar by the maid service. I doubt the room was ever vacuumed while I was there. I did take these issues up with management and they did seem concerned. Must give a little credit, they are in the stages of remodeling. That still is no excuse for bad maid service and leaving my room open for anyone to steal anything I might have had in it.” Jun 15, 2007 by
Shane from Sherwood, OR
“Hotel is clean and the staff was ok. However; it is very old and not updated. They are working on updating, but the restaurant is closed and they have a long way to go. Most super 8's and motel 6's will give you an equal or better stay.” Jun 4, 2007 by
Duane from Chino, CA
“The hotel is in need of repair. It advertised that it had a restaurant on premises but it did not. It also advertised hob but it did not work and I was told it hadn't worked for months.” May 14, 2007 by
Curtis from Valley Village, CA “The sign in front of the hotel read "welcome all dog fanciers" and there was a jar of dog biscuits on the registration desk. This place is for the dogs! Need I say more?” May 6, 2007 by
Rene from Gresham, OR
“Not bad for a single night stay.” Apr 11, 2007 by
Patty from Coeur Dalene, ID
“We arrived with no one to greet us. We couldn't find anyone at the front desk! We had plumbing problems in the bathroom, which was old and not maintained in the first place. There was chipped and cracked tile. The bedding wasn't appropriate, as the mattress pad kept coming up. Not a very comfortable stay.” Dec 7, 2006 by
Curt from Aloha, OR
“This hotel did not meet our expectations. It wasn't bad, and the staff was friendly and helpful, but the overall feel wasn't two stars.” Nov 6, 2006 by
Robyn
“Friendly, convenient location. Great for business or leisure.” Oct 20, 2006 by
Becky from Redmond, OR
“The Red Lion was a clean easy to find and conveniently located motel and I was able to get a room on short notice. It was a mid-two star hotel, not the worst - but not the best (older carpet, paint, wallpaper, cracks in ceiling or walls)...while outdated was clean & neat; quiet rooms.” Oct 5, 2006 by
Peggy from Walnut Creek, CA
“Old run down facility, has seen better days.” Sep 26, 2006 by
Brenda from Winslow, AZ
“Not worth my time.” Sep 15, 2006 by
Darryl from Salem, OR
“Good location next to fairgrounds and shopping. Nice Swimming pool very courteous staff.” Sep 15, 2006 by
J from Bend, OR
“Decent, clean hotel. Hotel amenities book in room indicates room service, express check out, automated wake up calls. None of those actually exist and there is no restaurant on the property. There is an OK family dining restaurant next door though. Outdoor pool and hot tub looked nice.” Sep 1, 2006 by
David from Kennewick, WA
“Clean hotel with friendly staff in a relatively convenient location. Includes a full service diner onsite.” Aug 29, 2006 by
Marilyn from Clio, CA
“Mainly clean and friendly, but shower was disgusting (moldy and leaking). Beds very comfortable. Quiet room, off the highway.” Aug 22, 2006 by
Fred from Medford, OR
“We have a business in Klamath Falls and have stayed at this facility off and on for many years. Considering the age of the hotel, it has been maintained very well. For the price it is a great deal and the rooms are clean. We have booked another room for the 22nd.FP.” Aug 13, 2006 by
Mick from Abilene, TX
“Helpful staff, decent structures, pleasant looking landscaping, medium price.” Aug 2, 2006 by
Carole from Bend, OR
“Good location in Klamath Falls for whatever brings one there.” Aug 1, 2006 by
Cynthia from Glenhaven, CA
“This hotel is located too far from downtown Klamath Falls and Interstate 5. Although the room was spacious, the hotel is out-dated, pool furniture was in disrepair.” Jul 9, 2006 by
Steve from Vancouver, WA
“Met our needs and expectations, but getting outdated. Could use a renovation. Room was clean. There was no adjustment on the air conditioning unit, so the room was a bit too warm all night.” Jun 4, 2006 by
Norman from Crescent City, CA
“Hotel seems to be remodeling. Room air conditioner did not get the room very cold.” May 30, 2006 by
Cara from Mather, CA
“It was very disappointing to get to the hotel very late (3:20am) and have the room available to us be a smoking room. The front desk clerk acted like it was not big surprise as well that we were assigned that room. The room I guess since it was a smoking room was not as clean as I would have liked aside from the smell (which was assaulting). The flooring was marked with cigarette burns and the bedding did not feel as clean as I had hoped. If it had not been so late and we hadn't been driving for 7hrs I would have gone somewhere else. We have stayed in non-smoking rooms in this hotel before and they were very pleasant and clean.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 13, 2006 by

“Wait until after the remodel and do not stay during the week which is full of no collar business travelers.” Apr 19, 2006 by
Lynnette from Auburn, CA
“When you walk in you think it will be nice. The rooms are terrible. The whole place could have used a coat of paint and the stained sink could be fixed.”
