• Location, cleanliness, renovated accommodations.
• Noisy heating system.

“This motel was nicer than we expected. It is centrally located, close to freeway in Monterey. The heater was very noisy, but the accommodations were very adequate. The beds were hard, and the pillow awful (bring you own), but all in all it was well worth the money.”

• That the room was on the first floor, and that it is a no smoking hotel.
• There was a light buld that needed to be replaced in the bathroom.

“It was a pleasure staying three nights.
The room was very clean, and you can tell the room was renovated. I had no problems walking around barefoot and the carpet is new.”

• It wasn't cheap and sleezy as you would expect a small place like that to be.

“On the outside it looks like another one of those cheap and sleezy tiny places. However, you know it didn't smell musty or like curry, the staff was great, and the bathrooms were remodeled and looked great! The room was roomy and comfortable and had a fridge and microwave! It was pefect for the price and I actually had a great stay!”

• The room looked very nice and the bathroom was beautiful with all the granite everywhere.
• I didn't like the comforter. It was very ugly! The entire room was gorgeous and this kind of ruined it.

“This hotel is in a great location. The room was very nice and clean and looked like it had been recently updated (crown molding on ceiling, neutral paint color, modern furniture, entire bathroom covered in granite.) Would definitely stay here again!”

• Amazingly clean room. The rooms were recently renovated.
• They were doing construction on the grounds by the pool and it was noisy all day.

“Nice, motel about a mile away from the old downtown area of Monterey. Rooms were fantastic, but the pool was unusable due to construction noise.”

• The place was nicely kept up - clean, well manicured.
• The pool was not heated.

“Nice place to stop and spend the night and within driving distance of Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey. They have a small pool, unheated and laundry facilities. The place is clean, too!”

• The room and bathroom was incredibly clean and in excellent shape.
• There was no smoking in any room.

“I was very pleased with this hotel. The room was small but neat and cleans as was the newly remodeled bathroom. I was overall impressed with the quality of the room at the price I paid and would recommend it to any non smoking friend for there are no smoking rooms at all.”

• Clean and spacious room, close to sites, friendly service. It was a great trip!
• They are still finishing their renovations - can't wait to see what the final finished product looks like. So far it looks great!

“I travel often and I always have at least my three kids sometimes more if they bring friends or cousins) in tow. This hotel was clean and spacious enough for my troops. The room had been recently remodeled so it looked great. The location is very close to the down town shops so it cut our travel time in half. The staff was great and I would gladly brings the kids back for another visit - hopefully during the summer so we can maybe try the pool.”

“We just used this room to sleep in only, and everything was clean and organized. The office staff was very nice. So close to all of downtown. Perfect for what we needed.”

• Nice king-size bed, good location, had crib ready for us.
• Ants in bathroom, loud air conditioning unit.

• Very clean and comfortable. I like it. It has the basic stuff plus other things like coffee machine, fridge, and cable TV.
• The wireless internet didn't work at all. But that's okay, I didn't need it much.

“Very affordable and comfortable hotel, close to the beach. Clean rooms! Inviting atmosphere.”

• Modest price, not fancy but meets your overnight needs.
• Some repairs needed in room.

“We enjoyed our trip to Monterey and saved money by staying here. The room was not perfect but everything was there that was needed and the staff very delightful. We would stay here again.”

• Quick driving to Monterey Bay Aquarium. Easy to locate places to eat.
• The bed was a little hard.

“The surroundings were very nice. The view was gorgeous. The staff were very friendly. The room was acceptable. The location was very convenient. Easy to get to places. Quick checkout. Would stay there again.”
