“Overall pleasant stay. I didn't use the pool nor fitness center but my guest did swim some laps and checked out the gym. He enjoyed it and its great that the hotel came with those amenities.” Nov 16, 2009 by
Brian from Boise,ID
“This hotel had a nice lobby and comfortable beds. Staff was pleasant.” Sep 10, 2009 by
Marsha from San Pedro,CA
“Very comfortable room - the bed was nice although we couldn't see any change by moving the firmness control on the mattress. It was nice not to have to pay extra for wireless internet connection in the room.” Sep 4, 2009 by
Michelle from Sacramento,CA
“Everything was great except the underground parking garage. It was full and the parking spaces were to small for our Dodge Ram but otherwise the outside parking wasn't inconvenient either. I would recommend this hotel.” Aug 15, 2009 by
Dave from Elk Grove,CA
“Stayed 2 nights with wife & 3 sons (14 & 11). Boys had their own room next door. Staff was pleasant but not overly familiar. Rooms are small, but we didn't spend much time there. Boys enjoyed the pool. Great location, less than a mile from the oceanfront bike trail (Fisherman's Wharf area). We brought our bikes, but had to wheel them onto the room balconies at night for security.” Aug 13, 2009 by
Katie from Sacrametno,CA
“The view of the pool was wonderful and the facilities were beautiful.” Jul 22, 2009 by
Jane from Brentwood,CA
“Clean, comfortable room, friendly staff, thin walls in rooms made for too much noise, not enough parking for guests some had to park out on the street.” Jul 7, 2009 by
Julie from Buena Park,CA
“It would have been a more enjoyable stay if the walls were thicker and if the gardener didn't start his lawn mower in the morning. Rooms were comfy.” Jul 6, 2009 by
Randy from Mountain View,CA

“Very nice Hotel.” Jul 4, 2009 by
Sara from Davis,CA
“Extremely accomodating staff; very child friendly - comfortable atmosphere. I was unable to travel with my husband and children, but called in a special request to front desk, and they walked over to the restaurant in hotel and made sure a surprise breakfast was delivered to the delight of my husband and kids. Really great place!” Jul 1, 2009 by
Mike from Henderson,NV
“Great room, clean, loved the large balcony, breakfast was expensive but excellent.” Jun 21, 2009 by
Lisa from Cincinnati,OH
“This hotel was very nice and so was the staff. Good location for the area. Had all of the needed amenities such as free Wifi, refrig & microwave. Also, in addition had a lounge, restaurant and a pantry store off lobby if needing anything snack, etc.” Jun 17, 2009 by
Julie from Fresno,CA
“The hotel had a great location and a nice room.” Jun 15, 2009 by
Cecelia from Napa,CA
“I think of a hilton as a nice hotel, This hilton was a disapointment. There was hardly any room to walk around the room. The bed was hard as a rock, there where the option to change the settings but they were broken. Our toilet handel was broken. Parking is free.” Jun 10, 2009 by
Gary from Compton,CA
“Hotel was close to freeway and downtown, Fisherman's Wharf. Staff was extremely helpful and rooms were nice and clean.” Jun 8, 2009 by
Nancy from Fairfax,CA
“Great Hotel - wonderful amenities, nice staff.” Jun 1, 2009 by
Jake from Goddard,KS
“We felt like we got a very good deal on this hotel from Priceline. The room was pretty good. We asked for an upgrade as far as the view, and they gave us a pool view room. The pool/spa area was very nice and clean. Our room was in good shape and was clean. There was a slight odor in the bathroom that did not go away, but it was fairly minor. I don't usually stay in hotels quite as nice as this one, so the parking garage and fitness center were very impressive to me. We spent most of our time touring the city of Monterey, so we did not spend a ton of time at the hotel, but we did get back in time to make use of the hot tub, which was pretty nice. For what we paid for the room we received, this was an excellent hotel for us!” May 24, 2009 by
Vonda from Auburn,CA
“The rooms were nice, bed was very comfortable. The area was quiet & felt like we were staying in a Garden. Yet it was still within in a 5 mile drive of many good restaurants & 10 minutes to Cannery Row.” May 14, 2009 by
Kieran from Sacramento,CA

“This was a great value for Monterey. There was no charge for parking, and no resort fee. It outclassed the Hyatt in Monterey (where we've stayed previously) by far - even though it had a lower star level than the Hyatt.” Apr 16, 2009 by
Ray from Fresno,CA
“This hotel tries to be more than it is. Maintenance is neglected.” Apr 2, 2009 by
Steve from Parlier,CA
“It was close to the Fishermen's Wharf, golfing, and 5 minutes to Carmel. It also was quite and secluded from traffic. The 3rd floor had a large private patio to sit on where the people next to you would bother you.” Apr 1, 2009 by
Sandie from Pittsburg,CA
“Good location, nice restaurant. The bar was a nice place to meet and chat with friends.” Dec 3, 2008 by
Hernan from Marina Del Rey,CA
“The only problem with that hotel is that they don't pay attention to the details. When I called to complain about someone playing a violin in a room they took more than 5 minutes to knock their room. Looks like the hotel don't have enough personnel. The rest was great.” Sep 12, 2008 by
Unhappy from Reno, NV
“If you are traveling alone and don't mind being moved to 4 different rooms in an hour an a half and don't have children this hotel is probably fine. But do not stay here is you have kids traveling with you. We were moved 4 times to get into a king room with a functioning door lock. With our kids 2 and 3 just getting out of the car for over 7 hours they needed to get into a room and settle in. Instead we got a room with two queen beds that left no room for the cribs we brought so we requested a king room. We were moved to the king room but the lock on the door was broken, they gave us a third room another queen, yes another long walk back to the front office to remind them we needed a king. So our forth and final room was a king but we weren't in it 5 minutes before the front desk said there had been a noise complaint. My kids were not yelling, or crying they were just talking out of the deck. We later realized that our deck (on the third floor) was the ceiling for the room directly below us and when you walk on it sounds hollow. So my kids 18 and 25 pounds probably sounded like a heard of elephants just walking around outside. Anytime we went out there we got a noise complaint so the kids were coupled up in a tiny room. Huge design flaw by the Hilton! We will never stay here again and will not recommend it to anyone.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Ryan from Seal Beach, CA
“Wonderful hotel in Monterey. Very capable staff and wonderful rooms for the price. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. The food choices were good as well for this size facility.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Michelle from Clovis, CA
“Overall, I enjoyed the stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, though the front desk person served as concierge and I don't know if that was the best choice - I asked for tickets to the aquarium and she sold me an adult ticket but told me that she didn't think that my 3-year old needed a ticket. When I got to the aquarium it turned out that we did need a ticket for her, so that was a bit inconvenient. Room service was good, but their breakfast ended at weekday time on Monday even though it was a holiday which was a bit of a disappointment. Other than that, the room was nice and comfortable and we enjoyed being there.” Jul 15, 2008 by
Amy from Rancho Cucamonga, CA
“This hotel was in the absolute best location for Monterey, as it was located in a central area, just within blocks of everything you'd need and extremely easy to get to from the freeway. The rooms were finely decorated. The main lobby was inviting and modern. However, we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. One hand towel was smeared in what appeared to be lipstick, one bath towel was wrapped with two long hairs, what looked to be an insect leg and two other bath towels absolutely stunk from French fries (we asked for new ones immediately). The shower was lined in about 7 hairs, the toilet was surrounded by hair and dust. Our blanket had what appeared to be a fresh stain on it. Needless to say, we were rather horrified to even get in bed or even touch anything in the room when thinking about what cleaning practices (or lack there of) went on in the hotel. Also beware that this hotel does a temporary charge of $200 to the card you present at the desk with, for check in and do not even inform you they will be doing so. No need to take away my vacation money for a superfluous checking of my account's validity. Also, we checked out on the 11th (it's now the 15th) and the charge was put on the 7th. It has still not been credited to my account, nor has their glitch that added several phone calls to my bill that I did not make. The vacation, Monterey - wonderful. The hotel? Please work on cleaning staff, customer service and know that if parked in the garage, your car will be completely covered in laundry lint when you wake up.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Jo A. from Flowery Branch, GA
“Our joint bedrooms (so not just one room) bathrooms toilets gurgled and made the sink gurgle too. Also, we had very nice decks from our rooms that we could not use, due to a fowl smell. Otherwise, it was nice.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Roger from Petaluma, CA
“This is a nice, recently renovated, upscale for the area, hotel. It's most obvious downside is that it is a fair distance from everything, so if you want to do anything other than commune with the ducks at the nearby Estero, you'll be getting in your car. One ding against the hotel is that the refrigerators in the room are quite loud - we unplugged ours after plugging it in - the previous tenants had also unplugged it, so some food we had put in the 'fridge upon arrival (assuming it was on) was spoiled. The restaurant was good for a business-class hotel and the service there was very attentive. We never had any difficulty finding a space.” Mar 11, 2008 by
Brandon from Sacramento, CA
“Good location, very comfy beds, nice rooms with fridge. Great gym with new equipment, nice pool area (cabanas, fire pit, lounging area). Would definitely recommend.” Mar 5, 2008 by
John from Anaheim, CA
“The room was very well equipped, but a bit small. The bed was top notch. Very close to attractions in Monterey. This hotel was very well maintained.” Mar 4, 2008 by
Christine from Newhall, CA
“The hotel was very close to the highway, which was convenient. However, we stayed on a Friday night during a convention and there was no parking for hotel guests. Also, our room was located in a stairwell, which was very noisy. The gentleman at the front desk gave me a room that was far from an elevator even though he saw that I was carrying an infant and was by myself. This hotel is best for a business traveler. I wouldn't stay here again.” Feb 25, 2008 by
Wojtek from Bellevue, WA
“Overall my girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was great and gave we woke up well rested the next day. The service was great and everyone was friendly. I would more then recommend staying here.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Maryann from Castro Valley, CA
“Located near downtown Monterey. We had two queen beds in the room. They were warm and comfortable. The new thermostat worked nicely. The fridge and microwave were also convenient. Overall our stay was pleasant. Our only knocks against this hotel were the lack of parking and drawer space in the room.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Kjerstin from Burlingame, CA
“We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. The bed wasn't very comfortable - at least on my side. The adjustable feature of the bed wasn't working.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Kimo from Hayward, CA
“This hotel fair exceeded my expectations. It is located conveniently off of highway 1 and is a very short 5 minute drive from cannery row (about 2 minutes from fisherman's wharf). the area surrounding the hotel is pretty barren so you will need a car but the restaurant on site is very good for breakfast/dinner/late room service and the on-site gym is outstanding. The pool is small but gets the job done and has some cute little cabanas.” Feb 14, 2008 by
Kelly from Madera, CA
“The hotel was beautiful. I and my family really enjoyed the heated pool and spa. It was really nice to stay at a 2 1/2 star hotel.” Feb 13, 2008 by
Ralph from Modesto, CA
“Excellent location relative to Monterey and Carmel.” Feb 12, 2008 by
Sonia from Lafayette, CA
“The staff was so nice and readily available. The location was convenient, right off of the freeway but be careful. There are a couple of exits off of the freeway into Monterey. If you take the wrong one you will get lost. Make sure to get back up directions. The hotel itself was modern and clean and I would highly recommend it.” Dec 5, 2007 by
Lori from San Martin, CA
“The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Parking right below our room was handy. The only slight annoyance was our room location. We had two rooms, one on each side of the elevator. The elevator corridor had tile so we could hear the suitcases rolling on the tile and the doors opening and closing at the hallway entrance. My brother and sister-in-law had a room on the outside and were able to hear some delivery truck noise. Certainly didn't "ruin" the experience, but created a slight nuisance. But I realize that somebody has to stay in these rooms that the hotel designed. Overall, a very pleasant experience.” Nov 26, 2007 by
Marcia from Concord, CA
“Pretty much just did would certainly stay there again.” Nov 13, 2007 by
Sharon from Pavilion, NY
“Adjoining rooms are never good and this one lived up to that claim. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was a handicapped room so it was very spacious w/ king bed. TV did not work. We were very tired and just wanted to watch a little and veg., 45 min a beer and a slice of pizza later the TV was replaced. The sleep system beds also did not work, they were comfortable anyway.” Nov 9, 2007 by
Jim from Lodi, CA
“This is a beautiful inn with very comfortable rooms and nice grounds. The bathroom is quite luxurious compared to most other places we've stayed. The bed is very comfortable, with an adjustable mattress for both sides of the bed. We would love to stay here again. Located conveniently near all the places to go to and see in the Monterey area.” Nov 7, 2007 by
Renate from Long Beach, CA
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Monterey Hilton. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The location allows you access too many of Montereys attractions within minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.” Nov 7, 2007 by
Tanya from Ukiah, CA
“Excellent hotel. Deserves more than 2.5 stars.” Nov 2, 2007 by
Drt from Fresno, CA
“The hotel itself was very nice. I think we stayed there at the wrong time. Too much noise for the quiet weekend we were looking forward to on our 41st anniversary. The people in the room above were moving furniture all night it seemed we could here everything in the halls.” Nov 2, 2007 by
Cindy from Cotati, CA
“I was very happy with the hotel overall. The staff were very friendly made our stay very comfortable, supplied us with everything we asked for. The rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. the only problem is that the noise travels, so around 10 11:pm you might receive a call from the front desk from someone complaining from your TV being to loud or your door making to much noise when it shuts. If you choose to stay try to get the suites, they are in there own are, and you dont hear others as easily, nor them hearing you. They are more expensive, but are much, much more spacious and you have a flat screen TV.” Oct 30, 2007 by
Jp from Reno, NV
“Went swimming at night pool was heated. Hot tub and fire pit made it nice in late October.”
