• Nice and clean.
• No free internet and it costs $25 to park!

“Very nice hotel in downtown San Jose near the convention center. The real disappointment was that it cost an additional $25 to valet park! Or you can spend $18 and walk 3 blocks. I will not stay hear again unless I am attending a conference nearby.”

• Nice lobby, convenient to business meeting.
• Valet parking only, no fridge in room, no stop in tub.

“Very difficult to get in and out of by car as valet has to park your car and you do not have access to it. They charge for wireless Internet (not business friendly). Were extremely nice but waited 20 minutes to check in due to not enough staff. Bar is OK, didn't dine at Michael Mina's. Limited food in coffee shop.”

• Room was newly decorated and view was beautiful.
• The bar area in restaurant was the pits. Bartender had no personality. Got up and left. No atmosphere.

“It was convenient. But, we were disappointed. Check in staff was not that friendly. Bartender not friendly. Bar was actually kind of depressing. We went there for a after concert drink and were so turned off, we left. Room was very nice. View was beautiful. No special treatment.”

“Great hotel and location in downtown SJ. Arcadia a top notch restaurant. The only thing that has been a bad experience is the coffee bar, where I bought a chicken salad that was spoiled. The coffee bar is badly managed, only good for a cappuccino. Thumbs up on the hotel though, my favorite Marriott to date.”

• Great location in Dowtntown San Jose. Nice hotel and excellent service.
• You have to pay $25 for valet parking or $18 in parking garage no in & outs.

• Nice, heated pool, big LCD TV, better iron and
  lock safe.
• Valet parking only, no free internet.

“A nice hotel. But you would have to spend $25/day for valet parking, and $12/day for internet access. My son loved it as he could plug his game console to the 37" flat-screen TV, and use the pool. The view is nice from my 15th floor. The walls are well insulated. Overall a pleasant stay, but things could get expensive with valet parking, internet, and tips.”

• It was nice and clean but too close too early 20's wild night clubs.
• Partial location. Surrounded by many wild night clubs. At least 100 police around. No parking just valet.

“Again, too close to wild night clubs, people throwing up everywhere, people are arrested, people being put in ambulances. Parking none- unless valet and that was $24 a night. But, attended was pocketing the money charged me $18 and said not to tell the front desk. $48 for a 20 minute phone call.

“Great hotel and amenities. The restaurant and cafe didn't have the best food or selection, but the local area did. I particularly liked how quiet the rooms were and that you couldn't hear outside noise or next door guests.”

• I liked the comfortable down bedding. It was so cozy.
• There was no free parking. It cost $25 to park overnight.

“This hotel was very clean and pleasant for travelers but it wasn't really close to restaurants. Parking was terrible and the $25 charge for overnight parking was extremely expensive in my opinion. I won't stay there again just because of that problem.”

• It was a very nice hotel. The greeters the front desk. Privacy was great no one bothered us. A beautiful hotel.

“My whole stay was inconvenient. The whole time I was there it was one thing after another going wrong, with the cleanliness of my room, room service staff, house operators, it was so inconvenient that by the time I left all incidental charges were compensated for me.”

“Drapes do not close to shut out daylight. Wakened at approx 2:00 am very loud shouting. I do not want anyone driving my car and they only have valet parking at $25 a day plus tip. I did not stay after the first night and my navigation system had been altered when my car was delivered.”

• Loved the large flat screen TV in the room and shower head.
• $12.95 charge for accessing internet.

“I don't think there's any excuse for a hotel like Marriott to be charging $12.95 to access the internet (and it's not even wireless -- it's high speed DSL). I can see corporate travelers never-minding such a charge, but for the leisure traveler, it's a pain. Also, this hotel charges $25 for parking (we skipped the garage parking and found nearby street parking, but had to move the car once to comply with parking restrictions).”

• The location was perfect. Just about anything you wanted to go to was in walking distance.
• There was no convenient parking options. It was basically use valet or pay 40 bucks to park nearby.

“Excellent hotel. We needed a refrigerator in our room, and they had one sent up, plugged in, and ready to go within five minutes of the request. The workers are extremely friendly and always happy to help. The room was extremely nice, with a great view of the city, flat screen TV, and plenty of space. When I visit San Jose again, I will definitely stay in this hotel again.”

• The views were spectacular, the nightline, the sunrise was incredible.
• The valet service was expensive, and the amount of time for them to get your vehicle form parking averaged a minimum of 20+ minutes.

• No fridge in room. Called housekeeping and had to call again to get request.

“This hotel is a basic Marriott, not the best, not the worst. The room is what you would expect, comfortable bed, nice TV, good view, although there was no fridge. Customer service not quite up to Marriott expectations. I had to call multiple times to receive items from housekeeping and waited about 45 minutes. The location is great, right near museums and restaurants. The parking is quite expensive, $25/night.”
