• Service was great,friendly ,quick to assist.
• The coffee pot was not cleaned there for caused res dew to flow in the coffee cup.

• Nice rooms, very good location, remodeled, and a very very good price on Priceline. Had smoking rooms. A+++
• AC was strange, did not get the room which we requested.

“It was a nice hotel. It was remodeled. I got a great price. The hotel seemed to be located close to everything we wanted to go to. The staff was nice. Overall, it was a great deal and a fairly nice place to stay.”

“OK looking on the outside & public spaces but the room is very tried the magnet to hold the console door closed was missing, consequently the door would reopen half way, they never did fix that so I took the door off the hinge.”

• Very nice room (we were upgraded from an unsatisfactory room).
• One elevator was out of order and we had to wait more than 5 minutes for an elevator.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were initially given a very noisy room which shared a wall with the ice and soda machines. We were immediately upgraded to a beautiful, corner room. The bathroom amenities were excellent, and when we called for extra coffee, it was delivered within one minute. My only criticism would be the extremely slow elevators.”

• Curtsey pick-up, adjacent to light rail station for downtown and also for buses. Very helpful staff.
• Nothing.

“It was very economical for a 3 star hotel compared to Hampton, and Holiday Inn. Staff went out of their way to help with directions to facilities providing directions and maps on how to use public light rail and buses to get around.”

• Clean, modern, accommodating, close to destination, good price.
• Very few outlets in the room, no refrigerator.

“We stayed at this hotel after checking out of a hotel. We were pleased and were even happier when we checked in. The room was clean, modern and accommodating. The only bad thing was that there wasn't a refrigerator to store my mom's insulin and there weren't many outlets to plug our cell phones and laptop. Overall, I'd recommend this place for business travelers and those wanting to stay near but not too close to downtown.”

• Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Pool and garden area were well kept.
• Beds were not comfortable. Mine squeaked and sagged in. walls were thin and gap under door brought in sounds of vacuuming at 8:00 AM.

“The hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. Rooms are nicely decorated. But new higher quality beds are needed. If I slept more comfortable I may not have noticed how easily noise travels through the walls of other guest waking early and moving about there rooms. And the staff was vacuuming the halls before 8:00 AM.”

• Close to Airport & quick free shuttle service.
• Small bathroom.

“The airport shuttle is quick and free. I was the last one at the shuttle stop, but the first one picked up. Had breakfast in the restaurant and it was delish. The staff was very helpful. The neighborhood isn't the nicest, but the light rail train is right outside the hotel door.”

• The Restaurant food and waiters were excellent.
• The Restaurant was closed weekend evenings. Dirty towels, bathrooms, hallways and elevators.

“Although the location was good and the Restaurant was above average, the lack of cleanliness makes it difficult for me to recommend this hotel. Our bathroom had mold even on the ceiling, and our towels on 3 different days came dirty!”

• Nothing - it's an outdated dirty hotel.
• Everything.

“First of all the hotel is definitely not a 3 star nor a 2 1/2 star. It's more like a 1 - 1 1/2 if that. The room had hair in the bath tub and on the toilet seat. On top of that I woke up with at least 20 flea bites in the morning. The hotel has an extreme amount of deferred maintenance from carpeting, bathroom caulking, outdated TV, paint and decor. Rooms are dingy and unsanitary. I would have nothing nice to say about that hotel except that the management staff in the morning wanted to call a doc. to examine my flea bites - that was somewhat accommodating. It was an overall disgusting dirty experience! Would never recommend it!”

• Nice outdoor pool. Big spacious rooms.
• Bathroom fixtures old and bathroom not well cleaned (dirty old tiles and moldings).

• The running water is weird as they added softener in it.

• I would have like for the fitness room to be a bit larger/more equipped.

“Very nice hotel. My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised at the level of this hotel in comparison to the price. The hotel and grounds are well maintained, the room was nice, the people friendly. We had lunch at their on-site restaurant on our departure day (were only stayed one night), and the food was excellent.”

• The beds were extremely comfortable and the staff was accommodating.
• It wasn't in the nicest area, and a breakfast for hotel guests was not offered.

“For a simple and acceptable hotel stay, I would recommend this hotel. It is quaint, yet welcoming. The beds are comfortable and the accommodations are up to par. It is not, however, luxury in the least. Travelers expecting anything more than a nice bed in which to sleep as well as a room to store personal belongings (while exploring the sites in slightly far-away San Francisco) will be satiated. It did not exceed nor fall short of my expectations. Three stars for that reason.”

• Nice pool good location nice courtyard.
• 10 bucks for internet access is too high, 5 bucks is ok but not 10 bucks.

“Except for the rotten charge on Way port, $10 bucks, this was a great hotel. But with airlines killing you these days and everything more expensive to pay ten bucks for internet. I was ok with everything else but not the ten bucks hence the poor score! Give the consumer a break, at least on the internet. Sure make some money but not ten bucks, come on!”

• Staff do not know the San Jose area well. No map of the area was available at the front desk.

“Convenient to downtown restaurants; relaxing decor; extremely helpful staff, fixed the AC immediately, brought coffee cups, extra coffee right away. I was in town to move my son to law school, so I was looking for a convenient, nice room. This was perfect! I hope I am able to stay at this hotel for future visits.”

“It is an older building, the pool not heated and the gym Spartan. They need to have wireless internet service available free, and a little friendlier staff and it would greatly improve things. The neighborhood is blighted. Can't help that I suppose.”

• Unfortunately this is the first time I feel like I was put in a inferior room. It was smaller than the other rooms.

“We planned this stay last minute and were there only for a short time. I liked the location as it was across the street from some good Japanese restaurants and had a light rail station right out front. Although we did not use it, the pool and surrounding patio looked like a nice place to hang out and have drinks. The lobby was attractive and they served cheese and crackers at happy hour. While our room was adequate, it was the first time I felt like I was given an inferior room. It was clearly smaller than the other rooms and we could hear patrons from the neighboring bar late into the night.”

• The breakfast buffet was very good, with excellent service.
• The room was dirty, small and had lots of broken things.

“The room was very small and it was dirty under the bed. There were old water bottles, garbage and deodorant on counters. Remote and phone had broken buttons on them. Staff told me they'd upgrade me, but then it was for a price. Would not want to go back again.”

“The hotel was fine but the room was the smallest I have ever stayed in & the mattress felt like they saved the oldest mattresses in the hotel for the smallest rooms. Not a good sleeping experience & small room meant no place to put the iron board.”

“Never stay in this hotel, you will be totally disappointed. We had to change the first room and the second room was slightly better. Rooms were dirty, filthy carpets. The room had no refrigerator no WiFi connection. The room was supposed to come with two bottles of complementary water, which were not there.”

• Linens were scratchy and beds were small.

“The textiles are all modern and pretty. The staff was all very professional and friendly. The shower has great pressure and the bath products are great. In room coffee is not good, room was smallish, beds are short and the linens are scratchy. All in all a great hotel with a few minor imperfections.”

• Tried to charge me 10.00 per day for internet access.

“Bed springs poked through mattress on first room, then moved to another room and was a little better. Place was 80's looking and needed updating. Pool was not heated and outside areas not comfortable. TV viewing limited. Hotel charges for anything extra you want. Also, need to be careful, housekeeping does not knock, they just come in.”
