“Meaningful comments are impacted by what apparently was a major plumbing malfunction prior to our arrival. It was cause of noise (pump motor running), a room change and damp rugs.”

- Comfortable, clean, well-appointed rooms.
“The rooms are comfortable, clean, well maintained and modern. Definitely a more business oriented hotel, with a lot of tech amenities. The front desk employees are consistently competent, efficient, helpful and friendly. Rooms facing I-880 can be a bit prone to intrusive freeway noise, but generally not enough to cause loss of sleep. The internal hotel temperature is kept about 75 in the summer, which means running the wall mount air conditioner at night.”

“Hotel offered many amenities beyond the typical 3 star rating (daily newspaper, airport shuttle, continental breakfast, 2 queen beds and large bath). Staff was well trained and was geared mostly to the business traveler. They knew how to please.”

“Pool area was loud and although pool area was to close at 10 pm, staff allowed people to stay until after 11pm. It was near 11:30 when I called the lobby to complain and was told it would be taken care of. Nearly 30 minutes later, the noise continued. The pool area is clearly visible by the staff in the lobby. It is highly recommended that people not be able to drink and be so loud that others (on the 4th floor) are kept awake. I will not stay at this hotel again.”

- I walked in the room and noticed a large flat panel LCD TV!
- I thought wireless internet would be free in the room since it was free in the lobby.
“I appreciated the 3 computers that could be used for internet access although you had to pay for Wi-Fi in the rooms but free in the lobby. The best part of the room was the view of the pool, the comfort of the bed, and the flat panel TV!”

- Nice flat screen television in the room with digital channels.
- The lock on my room door didn't work and they couldn't fix it. Anyone could walk in while I was out.
“This is a once 4 star hotel that has fallen to a 3 or 2.5 level. It in need of an upgrade in its facilities. It still has a 70's look to it. If you are expecting a 2 star hotel, it is wonderful.”

“We arrived later in the night and were expecting a good sleep, however, they assigned us a room next to their machine room for the building, and it was very noisy, loudly, like we were living next to the airport. We complained and asked them to change the room, they refused! The stuff are very mean, the room was not even cleaned when we checked in. It is the worst hotel I have ever lived in. Horrible experience!”

“When I arrived at the hotel, I realized that I've stayed at this Sheraton San Jose hotel before, couple of years ago. It was great because I'm familiar with the surrounding. I do have a few complaints though: 1. I have asked for extra bath towels my first night there, which was Thursday night, no one delivered any towels for me. I had to ask for the towels again the next morning, Friday, by leaving a note for housekeeping. 2. Friday night while I was taking a shower, the water turned extremely hot for the whole 5 minutes, and it didn't matter if I turned it to cold or not, any direction the water was just hot. 3. The shower head leave a lot to be desired, water coming out was week even though it had different dials to adjust. 4. When I came back to the hotel Saturday night, tired and just wanted to go to bed, our card-keys did not work, both of them. I was just upset. Besides those mishaps, which I think can be avoided and improved on, the Sheraton San Jose was very nice, and our family loved the beds and the nice flat screen TV. The carpet was nice feeling to the feet, because we're used to taking off our shoes once we come into a house/hotel.”

“This is a nice stop for business travelers with a large room, cozy bed, and meeting rooms. But it missed some amenities, like no refrigerator in the room, and expensive internet access. The grounds were poorly kept, with a tropical pond that was filled with scum.”

- I liked the large room. I thought it was reasonably quiet. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room temperature was nice.
- We did not like a maintenance man knocking on our door after 9pm to fix a towel rack. The TV sound had problems every 45 seconds.
“In appearance the hotel was very pretty and upscale. But when we were checking in the reservation person had gnats flying around her face and the flower arrangement nearby. The poolside hours were good, and the waterfalls were great. There were not any quick breakfasts available until after 7am, unless room service. Plenty of parking, convenient location to freeways. We were there for business.”

“The furniture did not look like normal hotel furniture, it was really nice. the bathrooms were nice also. The housekeepers kept the room clean but one time they forgot to leave towels and another time they forgot to bring something we requested. Very nice place though and beautiful pool area.”

“I got to the hotel and it was very clean and kept, greeted well and given my keycard. Upon arriving to my room, I noticed the pillows were too soft, so I called and asked for firmer pillows. The receptionist didn't know what to do. The ironing board was flimsy and the cover kept coming off as I tried to iron my clothes. It was a huge hassle, as Iżm a business traveler and had a meeting the next morning. The biggest inconvenience was that there was no free internet in the rooms. Only free Wi-fi in the lobby area and even that connection was slow. I was very disappointed in that. I ended up paying the additional 10/day for the internet, because I absolutely needed it. You would think at an upscale hotel, internet would be free.”

“This was a nice hotel in many aspects. The pool area was lovely, the hotel staff very helpful, and the room clean and attractive. The hotel was undergoing renovations and some areas looked more like a construction site than a hotel. Also, the gift store had just gone out of business and there was nowhere to buy a quick snack or postcard.”

- Rooms were as expected, clean and furnished with $4 bottles of water.
- A couple traveling with us had to wait for two hours until they could get their rooms.
“At $75 per night one cannot complain, unless of course, when one knows that other travelers pay $4 more and get two buffet breakfast included in the price, plus a room with a view. The trash containers overflowed, there was smoking on the non-smoking floor, the reception/MOD was not accommodating and finally, we did not swim due to the pool being occupied by a dozen or more children of all ages. If you have kids, fine - if you don't, book somewhere else. And try to get rooms on the inside, not facing the highway or parking lot. Buffet breakfast (we ended up paying) was pleasant and service very helpful, the choices basic of good quality. Not a place I would return.”

- Garden setting pool and Jacuzzi / room service.
- No parking right in front of registration doors.
“Lovely, comfortable rooms. Convenient location for back street drive to San Jose, Santa Clara, and Sunnyvale. I absolutely love the garden like setting for the pool and Jacuzzi with gorgeous waterfalls. VERY relaxing!”

- Location.
- Stinky dirty smokers room ( carpet stained & burn marks ).
“Older hotel in need of a little renovation. I requested a non-smoker room but I got a smokers room because all non-smoker rooms were full. The cigarette smell really lingered in the room. Luckily I was just there for a night.”

- Feather pillows!!!!!
- Save the Earth signs in bath, hung towels, fresh ones brought, anyway.
“This hotel is at the top level of hotels we are used to in the San Jose/Milpitas area. The location is great (at Hwy 880 and Montague Express way), the rooms and accoutrement's comfy. One thing, though: parking spaces are very small.”
